Absolutely not! She never met a talc she didn’t like and her presentations are cleverly-worded “Loaded with good for you ingredients, no parabens or fillers.” Talc technically is not a paraben. But if it’s inadvertently contaminated with asbestos it’s a toxic killer called mesothelioma. And NO, it’s not tested for asbestos. And please don’t write back saying you’ve used talc for years and you’re fine. It oftentimes takes 30-40 years after exposure for mesothelioma to develop. Laura Geller got me kicked off writing reviews on QVC because I wrote reviews warning everyone about the talc in her products. She ain’t so genuinely nice.
I absolutely loved her Spackle concealer. I'm over 55 and it was the only concealer that made my complexion look smooth, covered imperfections well and made it glow like when I was younger. Then it was discontinued. I wished they'd bring it back.
I have used Laura Geller for years, I’m 68 and my daughter in law uses it also.

Do you need a primer?
I getting the shade fair although I am light skinned but not warm undertones
Do you need a separate under eye concealer? I’m looking for a one and done. Thank you in advance for your advice
@@pnevlud I use medium, I’m cool complexion but my daughter in law uses fair. It’s very easy to use and you can add more so start with a light touch. She has a primer but I don’t use one, I have a tinted sunscreen underneath but not always. It’s not drying on your skin it’s smooth. You may be able to use the lighter shades in the pan for concealer, I’ve even used the darker streaks for eyeshadow too.
@@ingrid2543 thank you so much. I did order it tonight in the shade fair I didn’t even think to seek out the different shades in the pan. I don’t wear foundation but on this mature skin now it is time to even it out if that makes sense. I’ll try without primer first but after skin prep and see how it does. I love Laura Geller especially the baked blushes, any of her lipsticks and tinted moisturizer. I use the vanilla hilighter as well - it really looks pretty on and brightens up those areas that you want to bring forward. The shadows are excellent - zero fall out!
My sister passed away last year from breast cancer and her daughter gave me all of her Laura Gellar makeup. My sister and I both loved makeup. We could literally talk about it on the phone for hours 😂😂😂. I had never used the Laura Gellar makeup before but I absolutely love it. I especially love the balance and brighten powder. It goes on like a powder but seems like it becomes a cream. I want to get some of the Laura Gellar spackle primer and try it. I really, really love the LG makeup.

It is so amazing how makeup connects us with people we love. My aunt passed away before I started RUclips. She was a big part of me falling in love with makeup. When I was a little girl I watched her putting on her makeup before she went on stage. She was a June Taylor Dancer. When I am filming my videos I often think of her. ❤️

Hey Danielle! OOPS! That's your mama Laura Rae! Love the hair! And thanks for the reminder about Laura Geller! I've loved that brow product since she came out with it - I don't have any brow hairs to speak of, but I use the gel for the wiry-but-babyfine WHITE hairs along my hairline. Her taupe color is the perfect blend of light brown and tan, and it makes those hairs really blend in and stay put. And it doesn't sweat off on my hats! So thanks Danielle! 😉

I love Laura Geller products. This said, for me (a true porcelain, silver-haired ice queen) they tend to run far too warm for my cool complexion. I use what I can, primarily the porcelain foundations in various formulations but have to avoid all products that lean too coppery or golden. You look absolutely stunning!
I’ve used Laura Geller products for years. Love the baked balance and brighten foundation. Also love the Italian marble lipstick. I just received the quench and hydrate tint. That’s nice for a quick, sheer coverage. Here’s the “stinker” with Laura Geller products…their packaging is very cheap. My BBB foundation is always held together with a rubber band. I’m on my third one. All the same. My new lipstick has a tube made of plastic. It’s not attractive at all. And, it feels like the lipstick bullet might break off. The old one was a heavy, pretty metal.

I first found Laura Geller on QVC almost 12 years ago. She had wonderful kits that had the balance n brighten, the baked highlighter, lipstick, brushes and awesome eyeshadows. Great way to start your way and get introduced to her products. Great quality, and I quickly got hooked. Amazing makeup...is all that I can say. And you need such little application for a natural look, or even a full-on glam look. Very impressed and impeccable quality.....I absolutely love the baked formulas......🌞
I met and fell in love with Laura Geller and all her products through QVC.
I love all her products that I've use! I still haven't tried some of her newer products,
but I trust her to do her usual magic!

I love Laura Geller and thanks for highlighting her in your podcast. She is very popular with QVC shoppers and that's how I found her. Love her baked foundations (and brush) as they do not look cakey and seem to hide pours on my 50+ dry skin and are quick and easy to apply. Also, love her spackle primers for face and eyes and her highlighter called French Vanilla.
Hi Laura I've used laura Gellor makeup for almost 20 years. Here in the UK it was available at QVC and it was the only powder foundation I ever found that was pale enough (porcelain). When I was younger I did use it sometimes as a stand alone foundation, but I have extremely dry skin with both rosacea and eczema so nowadays it works best for me as a touch up powder during the day (helps disguise any redness from the rosacea peeking through as the day goes on). As it's baked cream it's not overly drying, but it obviously doesn't have the amount of moisture I get from my liquid foundation in the morning application. Her baked products in general are fabulous and very long lasting, so price per usage makes them very economical in the long term. Unfortunately the limited shade range in her other liquid base products meant I was never able to wear those - none of them were pale enough for my ultra pale skin. Her primers are excellent and she does also have both an eye and lip "spackle" primer in the range. Her ethereal glow spackle was a wonderful glowy primer long before the plethora of this type of product we see now. Also her primers worked under any base product without pilling/balling up - this is not something I can say about any other primer. Her eyeliners were always good products and her marble lipsticks are popular for a reason. There is a lot to like in this brand and it is made with more mature skin in mind - it's her brand demographic after all. best wishes.

LG sales are fantastic!!! I have almost all the products you showed 😍 I use a combination of porcelain and fair in bake and balance foundation and on sale it comes to $23 which is amazing. The eyeshadow sticks are the best. I got all the shades and they are budge proof and beautiful. Her pallets are so nice and user friendly. What can I say but look for sales and try it all and yes the brushes make a big difference. Thank you for taking about LG. Show us full face tutorial if you can please😁
LauraRae, your bangs look really nice! I think that you must be aging in reverse, your skin and hair have been looking so healthy! I also want to say how much I enjoy your dancing "shorts". I hope that you and your hubby are having as much fun as it looks like. This video's format was really nice. I have not seen much about LG products and this really gave me a good overview. I just purchased the balance and brighten foundation, I didn't get the blush but maybe I should. I have the all nude pallet that you showed. I really like it and it goes on great and doesn't crease on me. Now I need to try one of her blushes. Have a wonderful day!
I recently started using LG products and I’m so impressed. The Baked Balance & Brighten is must have for aging skin. It doesn’t get noticeably patchy on my T-zone or settle into wrinkles like liquid products do, and doesn’t look or feel dry. The Spackle is a great primer, lightweight and effective. I didn’t use blush, bronzer, or highlighter previously, as I never found one that looked natural enough on my pale skin. LG changed that. The three brushes I have are great, especially the retractable slanted kabuki. I use the full size foundation brush, but with 🙌🏻 tip about loading up the retractable kabuki with BB&B, that’ll be in my bag whenever I go. The eye shadow is okay, but won’t be taking the place of Urban Decay’s Naked Palettes in my routine. The eye primer is meh. Spackle on its own does the trick, possibly even better. The jelly balm is on my wish list already.

I use the full coverage powder. I’m 58 years old and it is wonderful. I also use a lot of her other stuff but as far as foundation I use the full coverage powder.

I use the bake and brighten over my tinted sunscreen. Best foundation combo for my super dry skin gives just enough coverage to even out and minimize some spots and my redness. I don’t even feel like I have makeup on. And I love the blushes.

I use her powder foundation as a concealer under my eyes.
I have a trio of eye shadow Caviar stick minis that I bought for my travel makeup kit. While I have a ton of powder eye shadow palettes, I keep defaulting to the Caviar sticks, at first when I was in a hurry, but now more frequently because I love the shades, and they are so blendable. I use the same shadow primer/base under these as I use with my powder shadows. Your review of other products makes me think I should try more of her products since I love these eye shadows. Thank you!

I'm also enjoying the LG foundations! I started with the Double Take baked and loved the application and that it doesn't sink into wrinkles on my mid 60s face. Just got the balance and brighten foundation and it's especially good over tinted sunscreen. They both are much less shiny after long wear than cream foundation. Thank you for reviewing her products! I'll have to try more.

Love Laura Geller Bromze & Brighten , & the baked Foundation. So natural looking . You can use any very tight big brush. I use one from Tarte that l have. Love the bangs. I cut bangs a few weeks ago
I've used Laura geller products on and off for the past 15+ years. She's been on QVC for a while, along with the Mally brand.
In the mid 2000s, she used to do some nice kits. Makeup is super good! I remember the ethereal blush- it was soo pretty.

Hi Laura Rae. Happy New Year! I am currently on a Laura Geller BINGE I placed my third order last week and I'm excited to keep this love affair going, LOL. Historically, I have had allergic reactions to several brands of eyeshadow but not so with Ms. Geller. Specifically, a few favorites are French vanilla highlighter, Tropical Hues baked blush, and her marble lipstick in Dolce. The Balance & Brighten foundation (Porcelain) is terrific but I struggle around the eye area with creasing (I'm age 54, dry/sensitive skin and I live in a desert - AZ). Thank you for making this video with a Laura Geller focus. : )

I've used her products for years. Found first on QVC. Ulta used to carry her. The only disappointment is that she discontinued her brow pen ( way before others even came with theirs ) and a brow powder that was the perfect auburn shade. I even wrote to her and never got a reply.

Thank you I enjoyed your video. I used bare mineral for many years but due to covit I had not been out in sun so my make up was too dark so I decided to try something new! But I like powder and I tried a few but just could not get right color so I tried Laura and the medium seems too ligh so I tried sand but I am thinking of trying the bronze spaklle with medium. The sand works. I did learn a lot from you especially about the eye brow and shadow I will be ordering those thanks so much! Martha

I have her blush and love it. I also have the older version of her lipstick in the magnetic snap-close tube, which is so beautiful. I wish she would bring those back. I'm going to try the powder foundation since I need something quick to put on.

I've been tempted to buy the balance and brighten but I've read reviews that it pulls yellow and as I'm cool toned but not really pale I don't think there would be a good colour for me.

I started wearing LG products for almost a year. I’m 64 with dry/combo skin with dark spots around the perimeter of my face. I use the doubletake powder foundation just on the perimeter and then baked and brighten all over. I love the baked and glow as well but use it sparingly to give a soft glow. Two products that are a must are the Hydrating primer and the spackle “setting spray”. I love love the serum blush. Well, I have much more of LG and love nearly all of them.

I use the Balance-n-Brighten in combination with Mally Face Defender. I pat the FD over tinted sunscreen, then apply B-n-B. You can also pat the FD over the B-n-B. I do have LG brushes, but find myself using the elf duo complexion brush instead.

I use Laura Geller. I alternate between her baked foundation and Estée Lauder Double Wear Sheer Long Wear makeup. Those are my faves; Catrice is also a great foundation as well. I am 63. 😮

Every makeup brand should make highlights small, you just use an atom of highlighter compared to other products

I use her baked foundation as a light powder finish if I'm wearing another base. I love all her products and use some of them daily. You forgot to mention her marbled Italian lipsticks, they're really great 😉.

I'm 50 and still breakout with hyperpigmentation, I doubt it will have enough coverage
I have every Laura Geller blush as well as her powder makeup and hydrating foundation. When you use the tinted foundation and want it to cover rosacea or veins, put her powder foundation over it and you are good to go. It works for me. Her brushes are second to none.
