Omg,omg, omg, omg!!!! The captain has returned! I cannot express the joy that I and the sailing world are experiencing right now. We were sure you had been captured by wayward penguins up to no good and were prepared to pay the ransom in fish and other sundries. My linguistic penguin abilities are quite limited so I am happy it did not come to that. Now proceed to make my week with your awesome review and never leave again without at least leaving sea dog to explain. I could go on but I probably should actually watch the episode. Don't do that again and I speak for a great many of us CaptainQ addicts. Welcome home sir.
thank you we are glad to be back but will be even happier when the temp rises above 22 degres actually quite easy to communicate with penguins ...just flap your arms at your sidse and chirp

So glad you are back reviewing those magnificent creations called sailing vessels. As an old retired salt myself, I take vicarious pleasure in coming along on your ventures. They bring back so many memories.
This has made my day!!! It is so good to see the Captain and Ran-Day together again. Some of us were worried that Captain Q was preparing to Cross the Bar. It is nice to have you back where you belong....

All is right with the world having you guys back again! Awesome boat. Thanks for continuing to show us all these different boats the way you do. Thursday is now my favorite day!
We are excited to see the National Treasure has returned to share about great classic boats! We really missed our weekly education and visit with Captain Q and Rand-ay! Welcome back! Our Thursday ritual of dinner with Captain Q is back on!
you folks out there are all nuts ... That is a lot of boat for the money, would absolutely love to take her on and give her the love she deserves. Alden's are some of the most beautifully designed sailboats in my humble opinion...
Captain Q & Randi, welcome back. I knew something was missing in my viewing experience and it was you two. I know you have a great audience that missed you as I did. Every time I see the Captain I think of my long deceased dad and like him, his endless terminology for all things nautical. He was a naval architect that when he came to this country from Scotland, originally started with Sparkmen and Stevens. Thanks for all you two do for the sailing community.
I'm with all of those below-Welcome back! So good to see you both and Sea Dog. 85 has to be the highest rating yet. This would be a great boat to put into the water and spend the first Summer just going through and cleaning up all of the lockers and doing a little refinishing. Also catalogue everything that needs to be renovated/repaired/replaced and prepare for the next haul out. A couple of seasons of work/play and you would have a first class yacht. Thank you gentlemen for starting my Thursday out with a nice review and best wishes for a warm Spring soon,.
You could be reviewing a bathtub and I would still be watching and delighted that you have returned looking strong and healthy. I have to say that I was beginning to worry that the Captain wasn't well. Welcome back ... And what a beauty (the boat, not Ran-Day!).
Great to have the Captain back! We always try to guess the captains score for a boat while watching, this is a beautiful boat. 85 blew us both off the couch!
Super excited to see CQ and Ran-day! It's been, as we say down here, a hot minute since the last post and this one was great. I love this vessel! It's not for me in that my Perfect Boat would have the ability for 2 distinct couples to live on-board while passage making but for the right folks this vessel could be amazing. The bones on this one are in such good shape and the 'problems' are cosmetic... I hope whoever takes this gem next does what it takes to make her everything she could be. So, again, glad to see y'all back and look forward to seeing more as the weather warms.
Welcome Back!!!!! Great to see you guys. And what a great boat to kick off your return. Take care, looking forward to getting back into our Thursday routine.
Thank God you're back. After your hiatus I used to spend my Thursday nights drinking. Now I can spend them like I used to, watching the latest Capt. Q and drinking.
Good to see you back guys! Gosh I missed you! Ok I need to go, need to watch your latest video. And thanks for sharing your immense experience. It’s gold to me with your great sense of humour!
Sooo glad to have you back! One interesting bit of information: the Bowdoin might've been the only schooner designed specifically for the arctic, but Amyr Klink's Paratii 2 is also a schooner (it has two identical masts) and it was designed to explored the Antarctic polar circle, with great success!
Welcome back! There must be a dearth of boats in boat sheds to tour this winter. When you said Hodgdon, I cranked my focus up several notches. This is a nice boat. Thanks for the tour. Take care.
Captain you were so handsome at the end while scoring that boat. (Just a bit too high. That owners bedroom was weird. I’d prefer one big shared bed but…and the boat had not been used lovingly which of course is just waiting for the right owner to fall in love).
