ACTION Harvests & Cooks!

This summer ACTION has continued our work with the Health Equity Project, focusing on school food policies and also having cooking classes. For our final day, we harvested some vegetables from our gardens, and bought the rest at the Hunts Point farmers market, to prepare completely locally-sourced vegetarian burritos. We washed it down with delicious banana-berry smoothies, in very cool sesame street cups!
ACTION stands for Activists Coming To Inform Our Neighborhood and is a teen environmental advocacy program out of THE POINT CDC, in Hunts Point.
