A.C.T.I.O.N. is a group of teen community activists in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx, and stands for Activists Coming To Inform Our Neighborhood. Our group is part of an organization called The Point CDC. We will use this channel to as a way to bring the issues we are dealing with to a larger audience.

ACTION Salad
For the final day of the school year for ACTION, we harvested some lettuce, strawberries, and cherries and made a salad with cherry-strawberry vinaigrette dressing (by Kelston).

This summer ACTION has continued our work with the Health Equity Project, focusing on school food policies and also having cooking classes. Shame on you RUclips. Shame on your automicon banning policies and shame on the complainer that doesn't understand the Fair Use statute. To mute the entire audio of a clip and silence the young voices at the beginning of this historic venture just fills me with bile. This is a loss in the history of a great endeavor. I guess RUclips will not be remembered as an accurate archive. Technology exists that mutes only the "offending" audio so please use it (and please let us know who complained so that we can not ever again give them any monetary support).

word! Im currently preaching urban farming to "high risk" high school students in CT! And yes, they no longer believe carrots come from isle 19. I am trying to get their hands dirty in unused city land too... although Im not sure where to start. But, I have all winter to work out the details..
