  • I made an error in this video: the MT226 continues to use the Mitsubishi engine. Not the Yanmar.
    Let's compare the OLD LS Tractor MT225 E, MT235 and MT240 to the NEW 2024 Mt226, MT232 and MT242 - PLUS, we'll look at the difference between the Economy and Premium models.
    It's time for another tractor review!

    I think the new LS tractor is a great improvement. I shopped for LS tractors last year and purchased last year’s 30 hp model (MT 230 geared with Ag tires and LS turbo engine) just when the new LS tractor design came out with the Yanmar engine. I think the switch to a Yanmar engine is a fantastic idea. My father owned a John Deere hydrostatic for 15 years that had the Yanmar 25 hp engine and never had a problem, and he was terrible about maintenance. Kind of like the Timex watch, takes a licking and keeps on ticking. One item not mentioned in the video, at least on the 25 hp, if I recall correctly, they changed the oil sump pan so it does not hang so low. Also, last I knew, the 25 hp did not switch to the Yanmar engine, just the 32 and 42 hp, but that may have changed in the past few months. Knowing Yanmar, I suspect it will be an all-around great performer on the new model LS (I am having some DPF issues on my LS engine which dealer is working on). However, I do like the low end torque I get with my LS engine. I’m happy with the geared style, I never run out of pulling/pushing power like I did on my Dad’s old JD hydrostatic. And I’m happy with my dealer. If you are considering a compact tractor, I suggest you definitely check out LS.

    Hey brother I just bought a mt240e and love it so far but I have a little less than 30 hours on it. I wish you would do a detailed video on the fuel purge and why it's important for these new tractors.

    Orange tab on the side of the loader control is if your doing something that needs a little more rpm you can toggle down and it will increase rpm. Salesman told me like if your digging with the loader and you need a little more power you can use that tab. I suppose if you where mowing and got into a batch of tall grass that wasnt too big you could toggle your way through it. Its a good idea for an immediate change. I really like the power that my MT232 HEC has when mowing and the a/c keeps you nice and comfy in this Texas heat

    No tilt steering wheel should be turned back by the Dealer imo. "Wrong way to save $5.00 LS" but I what it is maybe some massive discounting en route.

    The 25hp MT226 open station still uses the Mitsubishi engine.

    No offence to you sir but, how does LS not relay this info to you as a dealer? lift controls, capacity etc.. and I own a LS mt 125, but if I could do it over I'd be looking at TYM.

    I watched another video and the side toggle is throttle boost over set rpm for loader work.

    Hows the customer service compared to tym? Im on the fence with these two brands.

      @HomesteadBandwagon  Месяц назад

      With just about every brand I've dealt with, customer service is all down to the dealer. Trying to deal with the manufacrurer for any brand kinda stinks. If you have a good dealer, that's where your money should go

    Maybe what’s changed in the old vs new is the friends the tractor made along the way
