"Not the quietest cab I've been in". Have you experienced other compact tractor cabs and which one impressed you the most? That is a concern as I am shopping. Looks like the LS had plastic fenders which I think would disqualify it for me. I can see cracking it in the cold winter or other damage concerns.

I think the Kioti and Massey are a little quieter. It's not a deal breaker, though. The plastic fenders are great if you're doing manure since they won't rust, but other than that i can see them being a potential issue

Really like how practical your reviews are. Mallard+5's early reviews and "friendly user trial" info on the smaller HP variant were promising. A real 6-post cab is truly amazing on this machine. Now the decision between MT3-series deluxe vs. MT2-series deluxe.

I was a little apprehensive about ordering the MT2 cab for the dealership. The previous cabs had a few things that bugged me quite a bit. Now that we took the plunge, I'm really impressed! The design is very forward thinking. Our personal tractor is an MT3 series with an open station. We didn't go with the cab because of a few ergonomic issues. I've got plenty of customers who like the MT3 cab, on the other hand. Everyone is just a little different. DEFINITELY try both of them out. If the 3 series is comfortable to you, I'd definitely go for it. They're a GREAT machine

I was considering this model myself. I hope you decide to "get a new tractor". I'd like to see it in use. A lot of goodies are standard on this! On comparing specs against similar 2 class compact tractors, it looks like LS MT242 has the highest loader and rear hitch lift capacity currently. It also looks to be one of the heaviest if not heaviest 2 series tractors which is great for working.

Mine just got to our local dealer. Waiting for 3rd function and rimguard to be installed. Can't wait to start using it - may drive it around just for fun.

Commenting on this video makes me realize I forgot to comment on the last lawn mowing one. I’ve failed you as superfan #1…

Quick question, my LSMT125 stopped moving forward and backwards. I have looked everywhere for a diagram to check all connections and such but can't find one. I'm about 30 miles from the store or I would see about bringing it in.

    I need same help.
I just got the ls mt242. I'm at the 50 hrs oil and filter change. My dealer does not have the filters are can't even tell me the parts number . I've checked with 3 other dealer in my area. No one has an idea. The filter on the tractor are soild black no numbers. Can anyone tell me parts #.
    It's a 2024 mt242 with cab.
I've even called ls directly and no one will call me back.
Makes me wonder if I made a huge mistake buying the ls over the Kubota. No LS support.

If you go to the LSTractorUSA.com website, they have a complete parts lookup for every machine. Pretty great resource!

On the link he provided, Click on "Parts" on top. Then you can select your tractor on the left... MT2-Model, then MT232,MT242., then it's under the "Engine" section... Shows oil filter P/N is 40520451

dark blue much better. that old baby blue color gave me the same inferior feeling I get when I drive the wife's minivan after driving a truck 99% of my days ya know how you wear a hat and put the visor down. lol I'm no expert on LS but I studied 50hp heavy frame tractors for 4 years, I had a YANMAR TLB then a 4510 NX Kioti now a TYM T494 the KUKJE mech. fuel inj was the main selling point. the 3rd func being hard lines looks fantastic. I'm at almost 100 hours with no REGEN yet. those YANMAR engines are top shelf, only a fool would debate that. here's what sold me. both fantastic engines BUT... YANMARS are loud there is no denying that. I was told the comp. of KUKJE vs YANMAR is one computer and 6 or 7 sensors vs 6 or 7 computers and 22 sensors (those numbers are just to make a point) it puckers my starfish to trailer a 6500 lb machine for easy repairs. elec trouble shooting was my wheel house for decades. the larger LS seem to be different than the 25 hp and under.. the big ones everything matched the rubber and plastic was better quality. I seen som small ones from 22-23 the grease zurks were all different kinds a common one was from Europe and not common here. the paint was super thin but the larger ones had good paint. then the dark blue looks fantastic.
