  • There are 3 cables.
    Black cable controls the green tube. One end of it is fixed to the motor pulley, the other end to the green tube.
    Red cable controls the yellow tube. One end of it is fixed to the white tube, the other end to the yellow tube.
    Blue cable controls the blue tube. One end of it is fixed to the green tube, the other end to the blue tube.
    L = n*G
    n: number of movable tube. Here n = 3
    L: displacement of the blue tube (the uppermost tube).
    G: displacement of the green tube (the lowermost movable tube).

    One advantage of this design over the first one is that the cable tension doesn't increase as it extends.

    Nice mechanism!
    Remark: Relies on gravity (or a spring).

    this looks better. but i guess both has its pros n cons.
    by the way this mech looks very useful.
    did you see this kind of tech anywhere using?

    Inventor is also used to do the animation? If yes what module is used?

      @@thang010146 How do you define the initial movement of the telescopic in the dynamic simulation model?

    Hi, I loved the mechanism and want to re-create it myself. Can you send me the step file of the detailed drawing and simulations of this design? Thank you.

      Please read the video description.
      STEP files only contain information about the shape, size, and location of parts, but not assembly and simulation information.

    Seems all the stress goes to the green part in this way.
    To me I prefer to have one pulley in the center down each moving part, and rope goes around the edge of the base, down around the centered pulley, up to the edge of the moving part’s edge as the base of the moving part inside, goes around again, step up like a power pulley.

      But, the pulley system is made 10 years ago. This is 2 years ago. Can i say that this system is better than the pulley ?

      Y B will not move unless pulleys are self starting.....

    • @ArglinPB
      @ArglinPB 2 года назад +1

      @@kalpeshwani8520 When the green block is lifted, the pulley attached to the green lifts with it. One end of the green pulley's rope is attached to the base, meaning if you switch the perspective to be locked on the green block, it will appear as if the gray base is moving down and away, which is effectively the same as just pulling down on the string, which in turn lifts the yellow block. Rinse and repeat the same process with the blue block.
      So in a way, yes. the pulleys moving the yellow and blue blocks _are_ self-starting but that's simply because of the nature of its kinematics. There's no automagical actuation happening with the green and yellow pulleys.

      Almost every mobile crane in the world uses this principle to extend its boom so yea its feasible.
