The things he is speaking about are not really too new. I have a book called "The body electric" written by Robert O. Becker and Gary Selden talking about those topics. Even the example with regrowing the frogs leg is there. And they say how they used electricity to make the regrowing process faster. By the way the book was written in 1985.
I'm shocked that anyone realized the importance of cryptography after so many failures. Without physical anonymity we must submit to the current political order regardless of suitability. A doxed public is a "market failure" that is too vulnerable to a centralized political attack. Pseudonymity provides the essential reputation online and physical security necessary for decentralized governance.
Just as there is an economic calculation problem at scale for shared or centrally managed monetary resources, culturally or expertly managed resources don't scale without a common and meaningful unit of account. Rapidly changing value of either public land, money, culture, or expert opinion destroys the opportunity for cooperation in their respective domains. Any pillar of large scale social cooperation, be it shared cultural values or money, when totally degrades is sufficient to degrade the entire society.
