Adam, if you see this I would really appreciate it if you showed the date each episode was recorded somewhere, like the description or maybe some on screen text for a few moments at the beginning of each episode. Thank you!
I got introduced to this podcast a year ago, so I had almost 100 to catchup on. Watching them back to back, it was easy to see that sometimes they record 2-3 episodes back to back on the same day, then delay to upload. For example this podcast and the past 2, they are wearing the same clothes haha. So this could have been recorded 3-4 weeks ago
Super cool that Dan got to sing at Carnegie Hall. When he started by saying that it was a program called Mid America, I thought he was going to follow it up with a joke about how they invite people who are "mid" to come sing and that is why he got the opportunity.
Alaska Barnes and Noble! We got a call out!! Next time you’re in Alaska come visit the reindeer farm - that would be a dream come true for this reindeer farmer :)
Japan has a lot of options for food. It's not all ramen and sushi. I recommend getting omurice and hamburger steak for a picky kid. You could also try udon noodles. But there's seriously so much selection here, you can find something for everyone.
Brandon and Dan always have my heart, they seem like such nice people. I'm very glad that their careers are giving them this outlet. Must be so rewarding to be able to be enjoyed for their personalities as well as their works. Love you guys. Glad you're having fun!
One of the top things in my bucket list is to meet Brandon and Dan! I'll wait for both of you to tick off your South American tour to make it true. Love from Argentina 💙🤍💙
Brandon! I'm from Alaska and have seen the Aurora Borealis countless times! Its pretty when you're able to see it from a small city, but absolutely breathtaking when you're a couple hundred miles out into the boonies. Imagine Disney's Brother Bear - that level of light and movement!
i just learned that the hanging gardens of babylon have not been discovered and are only known through sources from the time attesting them. so I would visit those gardens if i could magically find the location and prove that's what they were lol
A luxury space cruise that circles the moon would be good. A resort style ship similar to an ocean cruise ship but instead of ocean views you get space views.
@@grantstratton2239 I see that....he is the storyteller of the Cosmere, but I don't think Brandon would want to be someone so important. Brandon's more of a background world hopper.
@jasonbailey9139 And for a movie adaptation, he doesn't fit Hoid's description, and he's humble enough to know he's not an actor, so yes, lots of reasons he wouldn't play Hoid in a screen adaptation. I agree he's likely to do the Stan Lee thing, if anything.
When I visited the Great Wall I went with a Japanese tour group and that was a pretty good experience. My only regret was that we only spent 20 minutes at the zwall and I would have liked to have spent 1-2 hours. So for a decent hike down the wall and back.
Longtime reader, first time that I listened to your "bitesized" podcast, and I love it! Exactly the kinda thing that I like to hear when I don't have the time to listen to something like the WAN show (which can be like 5-8 times longer) Gonna watch some of the other episodes later!
One RUclips finally worked today. A first in 5 years! These beautiful lads popped up on my timeline. I saw their outfits in the thumbnail and decided they looked like my people. Within the first 2 minutes I knew I loved them!! I have been searching for my people! I’m so happy to have found you fellas Thanks RUclips!! You win this time
Fingers crossed for Dan and the new Serial Killer adaptation. If I had to bet, my money would be on Blumhouse - they're big enough and likely enough to do sequels that Dan could probably justify another adaptation despite him being happy with how the first one turned out.
I listen to this podcast religiously during runs because it's a good length but I have only read one Brando Sando series and it wasn't one anyone I know has read. But if he made a game, I would buy it on release.
You are no wrong, but they're described fromm a Greek perspective (only 2 are not Hellenistic). Obviously, "Europe" as we understand today wasn't a concept back then.
When I visited the Great Wall I went with a Japanese tour group and that was a pretty good experience. My only regret was that we only spent 20 minutes at the wall and I would have liked to have spent 1-2 hours. So for a decent hike down the wall and back.
I don’t like seafood but I find plenty of things to eat that I like. Hopefully your son can find things to enjoy. Although if you are a vegetarian, it’s harder to find options back when I lived there in 2001. Might be easier now?
Brandon needs to learn solo singing, it isn't hell at all, it's the best. You can improvise, revise, and rewrite all you want. I performed at the hall, singing "Apres Au Reve". Also, song choice matters. I've sung Mormon Tabernacle Choir songs and they are pretty dry. Sing "Baba Yetu", "Dark Night of the Soul", or "Habanera" from Carmen. With good leads that absolutely SLAY, they can take you to heaven. Not to mention being choral backup for songs like "Nessun Dorma" or being the ensemble for Les Mis---you get to sing all the great songs. I'd bet a $100 Brandon would enjoy being a Javier. Emotion, passion, creation, interactive--Joie de vivre!!
Hmm I used to think about a bucket list, I think it was an assignment in HS. I wanted to shoot a match alight. and some other trick-shooting ideas. better get on that...
We went on a photo safari to South Africa in 2011. It was amazing. Petting a cheetah was a top ten experience. I’d like to go to Ngorongoro crater next.
I at least want to spend some time in orbit. Transfering to an orbit of another body (Moon/ Mars, etc) would be a bonus. To me, orbit is "going to space." Landing on Moon or Mars would be nice, but not needed The dream would be going FTL to another star system. But that's, sadly, only in the rhealm of fantasy as things stand now. For travel to a fantasy world I want to go to New Zealand to visit the Hobbit town they have preserved from filming LoTR. That's a fantasy trip you can actually make!
Wow! How long ago was this recorded? That John Rutter concert at Carnegie Hall was in January. My 11 year old daughter just performed there last month.
Hey big fan of the show, I usually listen to it on the RUclips music platform, but it appears that the latest episode on there is 158, curious if this is intentional or not.
Has Brandon ever played the metal gear solid series? Its seams like something he might try but never did. It comes to mind when mistborn e3 is 80s cold war spy thriller but chances are he has not.
No clue why no mather what the topic is I can just listen to these two middle aged men talk forever 😂 like when you had that family friend over that's 20 years your senior but has lead the most interesting life.

@@zacharyjones4232 well yah I obviously know that. But in case they didn’t know about what I said, they can at least get an estimate
Well, the concert with John Rutter at Carnegie Hall that Dan talked about happened in January.
I like to believe that Brandon doesn't heat up the frozen dinners. He's just sitting there licking a Salisbury steak like it's a rocket pop.
Like Wolf in Sekiro eating the rice raw, he enjoys the crunch
“I like a firmer noodle” -Brandon Sanderson, 2024
Super cool that Dan got to sing at Carnegie Hall. When he started by saying that it was a program called Mid America, I thought he was going to follow it up with a joke about how they invite people who are "mid" to come sing and that is why he got the opportunity.
How am I supposed to know the podcast is over if they don’t consult Ben about it first??
How’s that been
Exactly!
They should totally have ended it with "What's _your_ bucket list, Ben?"
On my bucket list, read the sequel to The Rithmatist.

"If I had lair money I would just use it on an apartment in Berlin." Pretty accurate estimate on Berlin real estate prices 😄
A food heist for Dan from New Zealand. Guy arrested stealing 250 250g blocks of chocolate from a supermarket.

Thanks for coming to Alaska! It was great meeting you there!
Having Garfield alter the Alpha Royal Assassin to have Haste would be neat.
I instantly thought about Haste as well
Brandon totally needs to be a world hopper in cosmere adaptations.
I've always felt that Hoid was something of a self-insert.

My heart skipped a beat when Brandon mentioned building Dragonsteel Village!
They showed concept sketches of it at the last Dragonsteel con. Look for the videos from that. It looks very ambitious!
@@robbybevard8034 I remember seeing that! It looks so cool! I'm really hoping we get to see more at the con this year.

The fact that you didn’t say anything to Ben at the end has me feeling like I just read a sentence without the closing parenthesis (like this.

The man on the left is a famous fantasy author named Brandon Sanderson. Have you heard of him before?

Dan check out the World Expo, its happening in Osaka from a a week or two before the cruise until the fail and I think it'd be a fun time.
Rutter’s Gloria is one of my favorite pieces of music.
He didn't say "how's that Ben" .... Left eye starts twitching
That's because it would spoil the next podcast topic -- "Ben's bucket list, as decided by Brandon and Dan."
Nothing makes me understand obsessive compulsiveness as a disorder more than RUclips comments.
As a Canadian, I'm obliged to suggest you check out your brand new Utah Hockey Club when fall/winter arrives. And yes, that's its name, for now. :p
