    I followed your instructions to the letter today but used a Red T Cut Colour tinted polish on my convertible Audi. The polisher sprays a mist of polish everywhere. With untinted polish you probably wouldn't notice it but with a red polish you see it everywhere.
    My advice is probably best to do it by hand if using a colour tint polish.

    • @dannygladman
      @dannygladman 3 месяца назад +1

      Also worth mentioning is the liquid polish goes through the applicator bonnet and into the polisher sponge so before putting on the polishing bonnet, wipe the excess polish off the polisher sponge.

    • @the_jnlt_channel
      @the_jnlt_channel  3 месяца назад

      @@dannygladman thanks for watching! Yes any colour polish I wouldn't recommend with a machine. As you have mentioned but probably would need less product on the pad as well. I have black polish but I only do that by hand. Also like you say it will stain anything you use. That is why I bought an applicator pad just for the black polish 👍

      Thanks for watching! It is totally safe to use on a new car. Also I would recommend polishing a brand new car as out of factory the paint work will have many defects that are not too noticeable but are there. Also would recommend a Decon wash before polishing as the car can collect a lot of fallout on it travels to the dealership 👍

      On a newish car this type of polisher is ideal. What you don't want is an aggressive polisher with cutting compound on a new car.

    I am just starting up and trying to build a potential customer base, been and got a pressure washer, microfibre clothes, drying towels, wheel cleaners, pressure sprayer but I wanna do more than a basic clean as it stands currently... this video is helpful to know the piece of equipment and product to use as a beginner. Have you got one for machine polishing the wings and any tips on the wing mirrors please as I am in a process of learning and applying myself to becoming more motivated to become professional.

    • @the_jnlt_channel
      @the_jnlt_channel  Год назад

      Thank you for your comment. Ok so I have a new machine polishing video on a slightly smaller machine, which is just a 5inch DA polisher but I haven't got a video that shows smaller than that. You would require a 2/3 inch DA polisher for mirrors and harder to reach areas. You could also do them by hand but I would recommend having a 5 inch DA polisher and then a smaller one as well. If your plan is to do a lot of polishing jobs, then you will need both. I do this as a hobby, but if you check out some of my other detail videos might give you an idea of what sort of products you might need going forward. Good luck with it all and obviously any other questions please let me know, always happy to help 👍

    I seem to be getting a few issues with polish sling. Any tips? I've tried less product and also not putting polish too close to the edge of the pad and the problem isn't as bad but it still happens more often than I'd like

    • @the_jnlt_channel
      @the_jnlt_channel  Год назад

      So I did a different machine polish video recently that I'm sure I will show how I apply the polish to the pad. But the way to reduce this is, first apply the product to the pad and massage in the pad with an applicator to lubricate the pad, then apply a few small dots of the polish, say like 4 dots over the pad. Then put the machine on the car, if you machine as a speed setting put it on the slowest setting, apply the product all over to give a base layer and then up the speed to polish the car. If your machine has one speed, it will be hard to reduce the sling, so it may not be your fault but the machine you're using? For example the machine in this video has no speed setting but the one in my new video does 👍 let me know
