They can be, I've taken a disassembled 3x3 Rubik's cube to the face before, it ain't fun
For each of these cubes, you removed all of the colours and then put one of the original colours back. You could have saved yourself two or three unclippings per puzzle if you had planned ahead.

Yeah, once you see it, you started to notice that almost all "different" cubes are just shape-mods of a tiny handful of base mechanics. I noticed it back when Nathan Wilson was making his mods, baffled at how it was possible to turn a regular 3rd-order cube into so many "different" cubes. Also, once you realize this, it becomes a lot easier to solve most cubes because they're just a 3×3×3 or a skewb or a pyrminx, you just have to hold them at the right angel. 😉

You should make a fully magnetic Mag-Lev version of the biggest 3x3x3 you can buy.
Your total collection of force puzzles must be really huge by now.
You should have made an impossible puzzle where each corner is one color so turning it does nothing but it's the same exact unsolved cube
1:43 you could have saved 12 triangle "removals" by leaving one color on each (like all yellow on one, all blue on another)
edit: you could have also done the same on the square cubes, saving 24 removals and attachments in total

And you know, time is money, just think of it as 25% sale on steam game, no big deal if you miss, but do add up in the long run.
And there's also a bonus in his case, it is to show that he got problem solving skill and not just some random RUclipsr.

It may be a bad puzzle, but it's a damn good fidget toy if I've ever seen one.
So when did it hit you that 25% of the pieces of the triangles, and about 17% of the cube pieces didn't need to be removed?
As is, you could have left one color on each one alone and just matched it.
Mathematically they are identical puzzles, it's just that the edges of one analog to the faces of the other.
So uselessness can't be measured by the complexity of the puzzle, because they're identical.
However, the unicorn cube has a much bigger piece count, which means that it's putting more bits of plastic to accomplish identical puzzle-uselessness. Thus, it has an extra source of uselessness.
The white unicorn force cube was my favourite, if I had to pick one, but they all look great. It's amazing how much effort Alex puts into these videos! Keep up the great content :D

I would absolutely love one of the pyramids from 1:44, it just looks like heaven to disassemble and reassemble over and over again (i can safely say this because i have repaired a countless amount of school chromebooks, its both painful and satisfying)

You could have left single colors on each cube during the disassembly phase.

We hypercubers see force cubes as cells. “Sides of a 4d Rubik’s cube”. The unicorn cube is actually like the same appearance as a 4 coloured “corner” on Melinda’s 2x2x2x2 physical puzzle. But they twist 😮

I'd argue the cube is a slightly harder puzzle than the pyraminx, simply because having more colors may make it a little harder to tell how each piece is supposed to be oriented. In which case I suppose the pyraminx force cubes would be worse?
I'm also trying to make force cubes out of corner twist pyraminxes, but I cannot seem to be able to disengage the clips. What am I supposed to do?

I think the triangle one is less useful. You can't even use it as easily in ocupational therapy for hand exercises. Since the pointless requires a weird grip. (Not that either would be good)
