I remember back in the day when I would stop by my grandpa's farm, and we would on cars and trucks, and then his eyes would glaze over, and he would go into a dead toned monologue in an attempt to get me to buy the specific brand of soylent his overlords were telling him to infect me with. The good ole days for sure.

Watching Vice Grip Garage has taught me a couple things
    1. How to tell how bad or good the motor is by tasting the oil
    2. You don't need to have the best of the best of equipment to get stuff done
    3. You absolutely do not have to act grown up to have fun!
Thank you Bieri family for all the amazing content! Please keep up the amazing work of educating while being entertaining!!

Always love to you wrenching on your toys with the boys always helping out... Nice to know my garage floor looked the same as yours as my brother-in-law and I swapped motors on a 2015 Kia Soul... This 2015 Kia Soul that I scooped up at auction was severely damaged above the crash bar so the Aluminum Engine took most of the impact, cracking the engine where the alternator bolted to the engine... On these Kia Soul's, so much easier to take the engine and Transmission as a complete unit... The best part about wrenching on our toys is being able to just get out their and do it - enjoying the fresh air, the challenges and of course, when the newly installed engine 'Barks off' on the first Key Turn - That's a beautiful feeling. Another Great Video - Love to see you do what you love to do...

Loved the shot of sneaking up behind the boys playing "race car"! Also, just a shout out to Derek nailing the interview with Jared Pink... would really enjoy seeing more of this kind of action with Derek interviewing/chatting with other automotive "celebrities" on the RUclipss. O'Reilly's knows a good thing when they see it! Makes me want to go buy some parts and pieces from my local store!

I like the LS swap idea on this one. As you said it will be a reliable, turn key car that can actually provide alot fun and power with little modification. I like it and as always I love your content! Keep on keeping on Derek. Your one of a kind!

I nearly shot my cold snack out of my nose with Derek’s engine removal advice- “make sure you’re doing it late at night by yourself” 😂

So good to see the 2nd team at it (1st with Jess) and teaching the up-and-comer the ropes!

Hey Derek, you might want to look into the pneumatic jacks they have at harbor freight for cherry pickers (engine hoists). It's basically just a regular jack setup but with an extra mechanism on the side and a valve that you can hook compressed air to, then when you hold a valve open it acts as if you're operating the handle but a lot faster.

Those are amazing: I've used mine with my cherry picker to move truck cabs around a few times. SO much easier than pumping it by hand....

Loved that couple seconds where you were showing Bradley how the blower works... it was in the FF section but caught my eye.
Love what your doing there and the Monte Carlo transformation too.

Great video! I'm old school. We just hooked a chain to the back of one head and into the front of the other. That engine lift plate was for the fancy shops! lol
