For less than $500, it's a fantastic watch. I have the light blue dial, and enjoy it a lot. Its a bit similar to the Tsuyosa, but its different enough that I bought both... It's so light you forget it's there. Wouldn't mind if it was 42mm, but I can deal with the smaller size... it may scratch in time, but all watches do. Stainless steel, titanium... none of them are hardened like a knife blade or a drill bit...
I wear this watch now sinds Christmas and i love this watch i use it for my work (restaurant and hotel) it wear perfect on a small or normal wrist just perfect. The dial is nice but dont campare it with a gs. I see people at work looking at my watch wondering what watch i wear. Yes i heard the tatinium isnt that good and that it scratches but that is no dealbreak for me for 386€. Its just a great everyday watch. The glass is also great on the watch. I hope they can bring a watch like this using numural, sunburst dial, tatanium improvement also the glasp.
For the asking price I think the watch deserves a 9-series movement. I actually don't mind stamped clasps as much as some folks do. They may not look and feel as premium as milled clasps, but they're typically light weight and comfortable, and when equipped with a decent locking mechanism will last for many years in my experience.
I like it, however having the small seconds Tsuyosa I don’t see much reason to get this one too. Maybe if Citizen adds some more color variants, since none of the current ones appeals to me.
The overall package is decent enough for the price but not a big fan of the rather strange looking textured salmon dial. A B- watch in my book, OK but not a 'must have' model. Would be more interested in a blue or green dial version with a ~38mm case, the current one is more than likely too large for my 6.5 inch wrist. I have learnt my lesson with watches like the Tissot Visodate . . . slightly undersized is far less annoying than oversized.
@@Horologique I will open the watch and put the movement on the Timegrapher to check and verify this later, may be the shape of the titanium case affected the acoustic properties. I cannot get proper readings too. The watch keeps good time.
As the mechanical version is nothing special, I will go for the Eco-drive one. And as always, I wait up until the price diminishes somewhat. I find the look of this one more sophisticated than the Tsuyosa's. Now about scratches: all my Citizens do have scratches, despite the fact I care about them (having a G-Shock for any heavy duty task), even the titanium ones. The watches themselves are robust and reliable, but the finish is somewhat frail. The savings are made there. For that matter, my Timex watches are better.
Great fair review 👍. A textured dial that looks like skin, yuck. I don't own any Citizens currently, but if I was to buy one I think I would choose the small seconds steel version
I paid about $300 on a Grey market site and in baby blue it is a fun party watch . Very little outside the holy trinity can compare to GS dials Not sure I would pay full RRP , as there are good Microbrands I do love Citezin Titanium watches and would love a chronomaster in black but that is a bit pricey.
It's a nice watch. I so however have 3 4 San Martin's ahead of it on my wish list .I am see sawing between the plain salmon dial n the citizen and the one with the sub dial.Price is a bit too mush as well.
Yes, let's wait for prices to come down. Strangely enough Citizen watches are cheaper in the EU compared to the USA it's the other way around for all other brands
Thanks Olivier, happy New year for all! This model is for my opinion a bit over rated... In the end i prefer largely the original tsuyosa With her cyclop and cheaper.😊
I stopped watching Ben because I consistently disagreed with his watch opinions. Ben is a good guy to be sure. He just didn't connect with me. I tried. Sorry Ben. The fact that the Citizen is being compared to a GS at all say enough. It's obviously a great watch.
As soon as I see youtubers and influencers saying this is a killer watch subject A to subject a to subject B in this case the snowflake is subject B I loose interest overselling and overhyping especially when there is very few varying opinion . its nice but not that good to be a must buy go get this now watch.
I'm gonna say it. Titanium is not a good material to call "premium." It scratches and dings just as easily as aluminum. It "patinas" over time, aka tarnishes.
I have the ice blue one. Very dissapointed in it. The clasp is utter 💩. That aside, the dial is a let down imo, not really as impressive as it looks on screen. I also feel it wears very small for me (7.5" wrist) and the watch is VERY light (a bit too light for my taste). It's not a bad watch by any means, but WAY overhyped. P.s I agree the bracelet is the best part.
If a plastic Moonswatch is worth $350 then the Citizen Zenshin is worth $450. To compare the Zenshin against the Snowflake is ridiculous. Why? Still, if you've got $500 to spend I'd save up a little more and buy a Christopher Ward.
That's the thing, the MoonSwatch is totally not worth $350. This IS worth $450, but people need to know all the aspects, positives and negatives. On the final aspect I compared it to the Grand Seiko only because many other reviewers did saying it was as good, I just wanted to show the truth with no offense to this good watch
That titanium is bad kind btw, like steel it comes in diff grades, and this one is heavy scratch magnet. Do not buy this watch IMO, get Kuoe or something which is much better
Yes, a comparison between Zenshin and Tsuyosa Small Seconds would be great, even though I’d like to buy both 😊
I have the small seconds and I think it’s a great watch, for the price.
@@theoriginaljohngalt2450 I find both beautiful, but I guess Zenshin can fit better to my wrist ( 6,5 in).

Get the solar quartz version.

Totally, but most people prefer an auto

How many affordable watches does it take to become unaffordable?
It's an incremental process to bankruptcy 🤣
