That’s wild! I’ve heard nothing but complaints from the Hankooks. They’ve been good on pavement and easy trails. They weren’t great last winter. Knew I needed something better before the rain and snow comes. Great that you’re having such good luck on them.
235 80 R17 and 235 85 R16 Duratracs are the same diameter but 30mm narrower. I’ve been running the 16’s on my Tacoma for years and nothing cuts down through water / slush / snow like them! They only come in E rated so the ride is a bit harder but hydroplaning is a non factor with them and they go through snow like nothing else. If you don’t mind the skinny look you should try them!
The LT may be a different (larger) diameter than p-metric. I’ve been looking at AT4W in 265/70R18. Their LT is a full half inch larger in diameter. I even asked Tire Rack to confirm; they checked with Falken. The sizes are different from P to LT.
Kinda weird that the same size tire in a different brand rubs. Seems like Nissan should've made the wheel wells a little bigger on the Pro 4X to give us more options on tires for being spec'd as an offroad capable truck. Good to know as I have a 2024 Pro 4X and was looking at the Wildpeaks for mine.
Mine came with ko2s I bought it used but it think that are 275 17s and it doesn't have front mud flaps. Ko2 though I do slip in rain am moving to West Virginia here in 2 weeks so we will see how they do
Those stock hankook were pretty crappie quality i found. I got the predator new mutant same size. And they look sick, super cheap, and are fairly quiet for how aggressive they are. Definitely a hidden little gem of a tire.
My stock hankooks looked pretty rough at just under 30k miles.. let the tire shop have them.. actually paid them to take them i found out after looking at receipt...was kinda pissed ab it
I live in Alberta, Canada so we get snow and as cold as -40c with windchill. The stock Hankooks I run all year round and have no issues.

May do that next round!

Yeah. Frustrating that the same size tire doesn’t fit
I have stock sized 265 70 17 in mud tires and i rubbed turning into a slight dip the other day...kanati mud hogs

Good to know! May have to remove my flaps.
Drive a few thousand miles and the rub will disappear. Doesn’t look severe

I may check those out for a summer set once the hankooks are done
Do the Nismo spacer lift. Cheap easy and will give you clearance u need.
Thanks! Have my sights on a full lift kit. Was hoping for an "easy" fix until it's installed.

They get you with that tire disposal fee
Not a fan of Hankook tires, had them on several vehicles over the years and they don't wear very well even with rotations every 5000 miles.
