I actually think that critique isn't entirely accurate, on Trump. If you watched the debate, it was clear he didn't always have to let ego take over. He was more measured, and didn't attack Biden like he would have, in the past. He could have been RUTHLESS, but he held back.
Every person alive has ego. But we have to learn to separate the character (the tv star and showman) from the person. It's tough to do that if we rely on media coverage to determine who a person is.

The US is near the top of the heap in terms of economic recovery after covid. Record breaking job growth and stock market. The CHIPS act (producing semiconductors here), helping rural (red) areas compete with more broadband access, and a return to sanity (Paris Climate accord, NATO, and generally standing up to the bullies of the world not alone but in coalitions, etc.) I know "other countries have it worse" isn't a sexy/simple argument, but it's reality
