Thank you #BrodieBrazil for caring so much. #NBC & the #OaklandAthletics were blessed to have you. Blessings on whatever you do in the future Sir. 💪🙏⚾🫡
There's something so wholesome about how all those people in the stadium greeted you. Yeah, you're not a player, you're not an executive, but they seemed to see you as part of the team in some way, and seemed to like that you were there.
There's no green like the grass of the Oakland Coliseum. Always loved it from my first game to my last. You were one of the best voices for the A's. These last couple of years have been tough and you have handled it like a pro. I really appreciate what you've done. Thanks.
I'm so mad my team is leaving. I grew up in this Stadium. Life long memories sold to the desert strip. No more A's. I just know realized I'm gonna miss Kara Tsuboi's beautiful smile as well.
Brewers fan here but I enjoy your broadcasting style and much respect for all you have done for the Athletics over the years. Thank you for this inside last look.
Only time I ever went to the Coliseum was for a Raiders game. My brother had bought tickets for me to see my favorite team, The Dallas Cowboys, which were scheduled to play ON my 30th Birthday. Was gonna be a great present. And then September 11th happened & the NFL schedule got messed up. So the game was rescheduled for October 7th, my MOM’S birthday. We still went. Took BART in from Dublin. Had a great time. As we were leaving, it was announced we had bombed Afghanistan & entered into the war. So I’ll never forget my one & only trip to the Coliseum. Sure wish I had gone & watched David Justice play during the “Moneyball” year. He was my favorite player on the Braves. The whole thing is just very sad. I’m sad I’m so far away in WA now & couldn’t go one last time.
Brodie as a Yankee fan that is a relatively new subscriber to your channel here thanks for the bittersweet video of your last ever visit to your “2nd home” for years, the Oakland Coliseum. Other than Rob Manfred and that terrible A’s Owner(refuse to mention his name) nobody wanted the A’s to leave Oakland or even the Bay Area. Even most people in Vegas wanted an expansion team and not a now 4-city franchise. Just sad.
I was there a couple weeks ago when Tigers beat A's 9-1. I almost got a baseball for the first time in 60 years, but the ball bounced off my hands and the kid next to me with his glove ended up with it. Oh well, kind of poetic.
I know this had to be both difficult and emotional to walk through that park for the final time. This video will serve you for years to come. Thanks for sharing a last look.
I have never been to the Coliseum, but I am tearing up. I can only imagine my father's pain when the A's left Philadelphia. Remember the quote: "Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened"
That must have been quite the meloncholy feeling walking through the stadium one last time. Sports eras end in bittersweet fashion. You know it's over but you don't want it to be. But, life will go on.
That's pretty cool. I remember going down that hallway past the clubhouses when they pretended they cared about season ticket holders and let us sit in the visitor's dugout for fireworks shows. Thank you, Brodie! FJF!! FDK!!
I'm an Oakland kid, watching the end of an era from San Diego. Going to A's games birthed my love for baseball and never did I imagine that the A's would be leaving. Thanks for this video, Brodie. Believing the best for you going forward.
End of an era, as someone that grew up in Oakland in the 70s-80s, worked at the stadium during the Bash Brothers era and have been going to Warriors, A's and Raiders games my entire life, to think that the city of Oakland has now lost all its major sports teams in a very short period of time is really hard to fathom.
i'm still considering the 5 hour drive to catch them on thursday...cutting off my nose to spite my face has been the theme of this season, but i have a nagging need to see one last game before it's all over and my spite could turn into regret. cheers brodie
Dodgers fan here but went to uni at Cal in the early 90s. I watched many games at the Coliseum and was there with my Yankees fan friend to see Rickey get his 939th SB. That same game I caught a Jose Canseco BP home run in the right field bleachers (on a bounce). Can't say it was a great stadium but I have some wonderful memories from there.
I worked for the Raiders (not coliseum) gameday staff for two years and I’ve spent a lot of time in the depths behind the CF wall. In that area by the batting cage, next to Clay Wood’s office, by the area they stored the bullpens during the Raiders games. Funny story, I was once walking during a game under (yes, under) the football bleachers in what is usually centerfield….and I stumbled on a cable at the same time as the crowd reacted to a play. I swear I thought I had pulled a plug and the entire stadium could tell. I was in a PANIC. Luckily it didn’t affect anything but I was terrified. Just one of my many, many Coliseum memories for both football and baseball. Farewell old friend and FJF.
I made the trip out west to see the Coliseum a couple weeks ago and even with fewer fans they seemed more engaged than the full crowd at the Giants game I went to the day before. People talked so much shit about this park but I thought it was nice. Langeliers walked it off with a no doubter to left; great game and I’m glad I got to see the OAKLAND A’s before they’re gone for good. Can only imagine how hard it just be as a lifelong fan, my condolences Brodie. Definitely kinda jealous you got to be on top of Mount Davis, my brother and I were sneaking around seeing if there was a way up there lol.
Man so many memories I had in that place. I took 2 ex girlfriends 😂 and of course with my family. I remember in 2012, game 160 the A’s vs the rangers.. the A’s clinched their first playoff birth since 2006. It was electric and one of the best moments of my life! And my brother was with me too as well, which made it more memorable. Thanks Brodie for being the voice for those hurting A’s fans and also for catching the amazing memories of all A’s fans. Love you all ❤️
East Bay native, but live out of state now. Took my 3 year old son to his first and last game at the Coliseum when the Dodgers were in town. Makes me sad…
I think I’m most grateful for high tech consumer electronics for letting everyone record their experiences and document our history. Thank you so much!
Brodie, that video got me tearing up, man. Still, I'm grateful you made it. Brilliant idea grabbing the dirt, which reminded me of an idea I've had for while... ultimately, they're going to demolish the coliseum. I thought it deserving of the fans to get a piece of the coliseum, as well. Be it the dirt, grass, or even a seat in the stands. Be it the JPA, city hall, or AASEG, they should make it happen. Maybe someone like you could whisper in a few ears. Anyway, thanks for all you've done, us fans won't forget you.
I know it’s been and going to be tough. But, thank you for this. I’ve always wanted to see the inside of the Coliseum nobody sees. Cherish that dirt, cherish easily the most beautiful grass field I’ve seen, even with football divots and yard lines. A whole bunch of love my friend.
@@brodiebrazil That is a bummer. Too bad you guys couldn’t do a “on location” show. That would be great if you could. But..but, for some reason, I don’t think this whole mess is over just yet.
Greetings from Chicago Brodie! Once I saw your broadcast style a year ago, I was hooked! Im a lifelong Cubs fan but I always had a place in my heart for the A's. I wish you the very best & I wouldn't mind if you came to Chicago to broadcast! Go Cubs! Go As! Go Brodie!
Watched you from 2009-2013 when i lived in the bay… still been a fan of yours since then, but from San Luis Obispo. Thanks for this. My son and I came up for a game last Sunday and took some dirt during the “kids run the field” time too. Good luck to you and wherever you land will be lucky to have you!
Thank you for sharing this, Brodie. I also just watched your sign-off video. It is not just tough to see that you will not be covering the Athletics anymore, but also unfortunately not staying at NBC Sports Bay Area. It is beyond sad knowing how much time and passion you put into covering the A's ballpark saga (including the proposed Howard Terminal plan) and it never came to fruition. You sir educated me on that. And as I said in recent comments to your RUclips channel videos, you personally are the reason why I even followed Bay Area sports in any way. Yes, you have. I have never lived in the Bay Area, but I know how much sports in your area have gone through plenty, especially losing the Raiders twice and now the A's eventually following them to Las Vegas. Oakland Coliseum as we know is not a stadium that will be fondly remembered around the country as it has its faults and mistakes (Mount Davis, obviously), but I know it holds a special place in your heart. Thank you for bringing all this to me and every one of your followers. I really hope this is not the end of your time covering professional sports. I wish you were continuing to do so with the Sharks because I love hockey and you covering hockey is what I love more. If it were up to me, I would have you go work for the team itself and putting out exclusive content on them. The good news is I know you will still be producing and sharing content here on your RUclips channel that I will get to enjoy every week.
Thanks Brodie, that was really cool. You were my source for all things A's and you came through once more. I found myself feeling sad and betrayed as I watched this, I can't believe it's over. Take care of yourself.
@BrodieBrazil... Thanks to your inspiration I got infield dirt from the field after the A's last game Thursday. My wife and I flew in from the Midwest to see this historic (and sad) moment.
Thank you Brodie for posting this. My emotions live vicariously through this POV. Your walk to the Coliseum, well up until the Clubhouse door, that was the same route I took with my Father hundreds of times enter through at gate at the end of the walkway. We loved going through that gate, because I think it made us both feel like we were a part of the organization, which we were. This is team is and will always be ours. Thank you again for this, since I couldn't. Long Live the OAKLAND ATHLETICS!
Thanks for all the memories you’ve shared with us baseball fans, both A’s and Giants fans across the Bay Area! Whatever you do next in your career/life I hope you have great success and growth as a sports caster and writer.
This is a great "insider" tour, thank you Brodie. Doing the video with a heavy heart showcased your professionalism. I am so sorry about all of this, which, in my opinion, could have and should have been avoided. Like I said in earlier comments, the sky is the limit for what you wish to achieve. Looking forward to what comes next.
As a braves fan, born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, now living in the Metro Orlando area, my heart goes out to you and all the Oakland A's fans out there. God bless you.
Thank you for giving us exclusive access to areas we normally wouldn't see unless we were on a tour. May Oakland continue to thrive as their last team leaves.
Brodie, I live about 20 miles from where Ray Fosse grew up, in southern Illinois. I am almost 59 and had an A’s hat when I was a kid. I feel bad for Oakland! I feel bad for the kids that attend A’s games! Sad situation! Hang in there, it will work out for you!
I watched that final sign off with you and Bip yesterday bro. Salute to you Brodie! Use to watch you guys with my father every day. RIP Ray! Long live the Oakland A’s! Felt like I was walking with you through that stadium! Thanks for the tour!
Well done, Brodie! How is the video so smooth? Super impressive. It’s obvious that you are well loved there. 💚💛 I haven’t seen some parts of the stadium in decades, and have never gone up to Mt. Davis. Thank you for documenting.
Thank you so much for this, Brodie! Growing up and living most of my life in NJ (now living in SoCal). Getting to the Coliseum twice in the 90's, before Mt. Davis, has always been a big highlight in my A's and baseball fan life!
My grandpa moved to Oakland from Hawaii in 1960. He was a die hard A's fan from 1968 until his passing in 2016. I will hold on to the posibility that they may be back one day.
Growing up in Toronto, I'll never forget seeing Alomar hitting that home run off of Eck in the ALCS. The iconic arms raised celebration as the ball sailed over the wall in RF.
Shout out Clay Wood!!!! There was a Security Guard if I recall correctly was named Harvey that guarded the Visiting Clubhouse. That was my buddy. And during my time working for Vuc, one of my jobs was to stock the Visitor's bullpen with towels, gatorade, water, and whatever snacks that they required, before the game. Then after the game, if it was a day game, I'd have to clean up all the mess they left down there.
Brodie Thanks for the tour. I'm a huge A's fan living here in Milwaukee.. I'm almost as upset about the move, as if the Brewers were moving. I am hoping for some last minute miracle. Remember the Giants ere as good as gone to Tampa.I went down to Wrigley to see the A's last Wednesday. I had my SELL sign. Ran into some nice A's fans. I actually like the Coliseum. Very sad time. I hope this blows up in Fishers face.
I've been watching your page the last couple years and enjoy the content. When I made my trip 2 the bay for tigers/A's I enjoyed the atmosphere but when I saw the troth in the bathroom I knew it was outdated and it gave me old Joe Louis arena vibes.

Mount Davis wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't done that top tier of seats. They were so bad, nobody wanted them.
To the city and to the owner, it's just business. To the fans, it's so much more.
The fans deserved better.

Thank you, Brodie, though experiencing this makes this insane and needless situation even more painful.
Such a cool and sentimental experience. I'm trying my best to be at the Rays last game in the Trop.
Nevet been on mt Davis . Thanks Bodie. 😢
Thank you Brodie! Please come to the last few games against the Rangers this week! 🙏
This is heartbreaking Brodie SO UNFAIR !!!!
I haven’t seen some parts of the stadium in decades, and have never gone up to Mt. Davis. Thank you for documenting.
I remember the smells, the concourses, and so much. It breaks me that soon that's all I will have left.
thanks for the tour brodie!!
Thank you so much for this, Brodie! Growing up and living most of my life in NJ (now living in SoCal). Getting to the Coliseum twice in the 90's, before Mt. Davis, has always been a big highlight in my A's and baseball fan life!
Wonderful video Brodie.
My grandpa moved to Oakland from Hawaii in 1960. He was a die hard A's fan from 1968 until his passing in 2016.
I will hold on to the posibility that they may be back one day.
Thank you
Growing up in Toronto, I'll never forget seeing Alomar hitting that home run off of Eck in the ALCS.
This is SO amazing ❤
Thank you for this, Brodie.
We need more !
Thank you that tour was fantastic
Brodie Thanks for the tour. I'm a huge A's fan living here in Milwaukee.. I'm almost as upset about the move, as if the Brewers were moving. I am hoping for some last minute miracle. Remember the Giants ere as good as gone to Tampa.I went down to Wrigley to see the A's last Wednesday. I had my SELL sign. Ran into some nice A's fans. I actually like the Coliseum. Very sad time. I hope this blows up in Fishers face.
Always love the interesting and unique perspectives you provide Brodie. This video was no exception. Thanks again!
THANK YOU ❤
Thanks!
When I worked for Vuc, my Mom would pick me up right there at "Lot F". Long before the metal fence was there.
Best wishes to your future opportunities, will miss the good ole times as memories keep the spirit going
She's absolutely beautiful. Will love her forever.
I've been watching your page the last couple years and enjoy the content. When I made my trip 2 the bay for tigers/A's I enjoyed the atmosphere but when I saw the troth in the bathroom I knew it was outdated and it gave me old Joe Louis arena vibes.
Love you Brodie, you’re the best!
Brodie thanks for tour i went to the a's and yanks 9-21-24 bought a couple of shirts in the A's store for the last time.
