It took me 2 years to find it, but one just dropped into my lap with only 231 miles. I hope you get back to vlogging with that beautiful bike!
Nice scoot Heather. Have the same white slim in a 2019 and love it now. Did have a problem with the seat on any ride over 45 minutes but i swapped it out with a stock seat from a 2018 and up Street Bob. The Streetbob has the same pleated tuck and roll styling, but with a bit more lower back cushion that does a MUCH better job of keeping my butt planted. Got a new takeoff from a guy on Ebay for $60 bucks shipped. Highly recommend the seat.
Hey heather, no the bike was good, its just when i looked into adding the pipes, several friends of mine said for the best results just do a stage one kit to the bike. Because when you add pipes like we have, you need more air flow so it doesent cause the motor to run rich , thats why i also installed the programmer. It sets the perameters in the computer so the bike won't backfire or skip, or load up. Ive been really happy with it since i installed it.
Hey Heather I am so glad your back. Your bike looks great. I went to biketober fest and hook up with CIRO 3D. I pick up their highway pegs, saddle bag extensions, center brake light bar for tour pack, and the shock and awe under glow lights. I really like the CIRO 3D products. And life time warranty.i already have the Cobra slip-ons. In the spring I will be at bike week and put headers and new mufflers for CIRO 3D. Thanks for sharing your time with us. Looks like you’ve got your bike hooked up too! I almost did the Ciro lights, but opted for the ones at the dealership. They make a huge difference with all the light now. The LEDs are very bright and give you more visibility to oncoming traffic and they are a lot brighter than the stock lights at night! Huge difference between the two, of you decide to switch out. Thanks for watching!!!

Bought the 2018 Slim and the rest is history. I love the fit and the style of the Slim. It’s supposed to be in the 60’s the next few days. Quick question, if it was just the slip-ons, how did the rest of the pipes turn black (the upper parts), when they used to be chrome? Did you replace the chrome ones with factory OEM black?
I bought the black heat shields and just put them over the chrome uppers. If I ever go back to the chrome, I’ll just pull off the heat shields and I’m good to go. I think the heat shields were $300 if I remember correctly. They are Vance and Hines also and match the pipes.

Nice FLSL and mods. I own a wicked red 2018 FLSL and black ‘18 FXBB. Love your LED turn signals and blacked out exhaust. From experience with our bikes a PROGRAMMER tuner is a MUST for full exhaust AND SLIP ON with the m8. We used vance/hines fuelpak fp3 tuner slips and full and it made a huge difference on BOTH. No decel pop better idle no power loss. Like someone mentioned earlier tune is key with fuel injected harleys and m8. We are running vance 3” twin slash slips on FXBB and i had vance short shots full exhaust #17233 on FLSL. Since the m8 is a single cam and needs back pressure i wasnt really 100% happy with short shots so i put the stocks back on. It was a bit louder than slips but not much difference as on say a dual cam harley. I plan to pick up some slip ons for the FLSL. The 2 into 1 TBR two brothers full exh is deeper and LOUD but not a fan of the looks of the 2 into 1 TBR The stock seat is EH OK. I feel like im always flying off of it on hard acceleration. The FLSL is a great bike. Low to ground. Forward controls are great. Comfortable fun to ride. Controls and gauges great too. I also got a saddlebag willie and max.
Forgot to mention we both had rocker box gasket oil leaks at less than 1,000 miles on both 2018 FLSL and 2018 FXBB 107ci (1747cc) Milwaukee 8. we bought both brand new but chandler harley fixed them both under warranty. Super common manufacturer issue. Once replaced they been rock solid and reliable. I had one fork seal fail on me on my FLSL but harley warrantied it out no charge. It runs pretty cool but it didn’t like the extreme Arizona heat. We moved back to california no issues

Hello Heather, this Dave from new york. I watched your 1 year review and i just wanted to say i also went with the v&h pipes. But, i see you still have the oem air cover, i had to get the open cleaner and the programmer in order for my bike to run correct. Did you have to do anything other than the pipes.?

I'm trying to find a bike for the wife. She is also 5'3" and I was thinking a mid control bike like the Low Rider would fit her fine. How is your back after a few hours of hitting bumps? Only asking because I understand your back gets all the impact when your legs are stretched out.
I have no problems with the bumps and long rides. I can stretch my legs out on the floorboards if I need to. Have her test drive a few and see what fits her. I believe the slim is the lowest suspension. It fits me like a glove, I haven’t done any modifications with the height or bars.

Thats a myth
Onley pipes the ecm can handle it. Ad a AC to the pipes and no tune the bike run lean. Tune it the bike runs well.
ST Slim is the best-looking model. Love the blue-colored one too.

Just got a 2020 slim. I didn't think much of the led signal upgrade, thought the stock was fine until this video. Thanks Heather.

Perfect in the turns, haven’t scraped a board as of yet! I guess I can’t hide the upstate NY accent. Lived in NC for the last 23 years 😊

I got them at the Harley Dealership. I don’t remember the name, but they were $175 for the 2 sets. Huge difference in the brightness now.

Super easy to clean! There is a special spray cleaner for the salt denim too. Looks as new as the day I bought it!
