There is no need fr amy blame game. It squarely rests on congress party and mainly the friendship between Rajiv Gandhi and the Abdhullah. The Parivar wanted to hushup the whole incident to protect the Abdullah parivar. Nothing has happened yet, and God is witness, the Kashmiri pundits will never get justice, given the extent and depth of their tragedy - but it is a fact that 32 years later, the world has been made to know what really happened. The director has taken so much pain that his narration should be based only on evidences available in press and personal interviews and very importantly taken care to show the brutality without any vulgarity. He has taken 2 years to make research on the subject by going to various places to see 700 persons spending his own money. So it is natural for Vivekji to raise his voice when the lady interviewer provokingly asks questions based on frivolous criticisms made by the opponents in politics and media and press who hate the film the Kashmir Files for telling uncomfortable truth which exposes them. Telling the truth is never polarizing. Glad that the truth has come out now with the release of this film. Kudos to Vivek Agnihotri for his excellent direction of this film. Why does Indian journalism and Indian journalists cast this film as polarizing when in actuality this is all about the truth as to how a govt looked the other way and allowed this horrible horrible tragedy (genocide) to take place. I vouch for Vivek's comment on not getting tickets. I live in San Francisco area and I couldn't find tickets even though a theater was running 7 shows per day. Lucky for me, two days ago they added 3 more shows and I managed to get a ticket and watch the film. This theater is currently running 10 shows per day
