Visit most European cities, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt and of course Amsterdam. It’s on display and readily available to those men who have money to spend! People often talk about prostitution in SE Asian countries but rarely do they mention Europe or other parts of world New Zealand as well. I’ve traveled the globe it’s everywhere believe me, even when it’s not out in the open and obvious it still exists. Thanks again for sharing ✌🏾.

The problem is not what Traditional Filipinos like you say. It's what they never say. The countries that you mentioned are civilized countries with rules, laws, and principles. Nothing to do with a lawless pirate island type of countries like the Philippines. In civilized countries prostittes can make thousands of dollars per day. In the phils these women can't make much money. There's way too much competition

The worst part about a lot of this is that the parents of these women actually send them to the big cities to make money for the parents as part of the utang na loob. Many of these women are actually prostituted out by their own family for monetary gain, especially if they no longer have their honor in the community. Some have children to support from Filipino men who only want to take their youth . They are already emotionally damaged before they even end up in this industry and are easy to manipulate as they feel like second class citizen by those who supposedly love them.

This is both shallow and simplistic. The reason women are sent out for sex work is too many families in the Philippines are poor and they can't make ends meet, and the reason they're poor is because the Philippines, like many countries, is poor, and the reason that so many countries are poor is Western countries take more than our fair share of wealth, and worse, billionaires take the majority of this. The government of the Philippines can't help because, due to poverty, the taxation base of the country is narrow. We in the West are to blame, but really Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and of these vermin are the ones really to blame. Jeff Bezos bought a $170 million private aircraft the other week. How much poverty in poor countries, or in his own country, could $170 million abate?

Look this report from McKinsey: The Philippines ended 2023 on a high note, being the fastest growing economy across Southeast Asia with a growth rate of 5.6 percent......There are enough jobs for everybody but this would require sacrificies which are too hard to take for many filipinos.....as long as there is an auntie in the US or an OFW somewhere in the world which will send money then the whole clan is just hanging around at home.....It is not about having an interesting job it is only about getting money easy and quick......together with the naivitee of many girls the way into prostitution is very short.....if she is having a baby from a filipino who is usually running away after discovering pregnancy then the pressure to get money from the family for an additional mouth can be unbearable.....

The real problem for the Philippines and for all of us is the richest 1% holds 49% of the worlds wealth . If this wealth, instead of being hoarded by multi-billionaires, was equitably distributed, the poverty of our own countries and the poverty of the Philippines would largely disappear. Corruption is a consequence, not a cause, in that those who are corrupt are using illegal means to lever themselves out of poverty in a country that is intrinsically poor, thanks to mostly Western billionaires who are taking it all.

That allowed Amazon to become the behemoth is it today. I could give a dozen examples trivially. Corruption stems from lack of morals. Every time that has become the norm for a society it has destroyed it. History has proven that time and time again. The Roman empire being the biggest example. You could steal from the rich and given to the poor, but you would still end up with poor people. Its part of human nature. So stop it with that socialism suggestion. You want to fix society? The average wage a young Filipina makes is about $8.00 USD per day and they work 6 days a week.
They are then expected to go home and give most of their income to parents or boyfriend.
It is pathetic that employers can actually get away with such low wages for these woman.
Is it any surprise that these girls turn into free lancers where they can make $50.00 or more per day?

I’m married to a Filipina in UK a wonderful person, I have seen the poverty in your country, but this is no excuse for prostitution but I understand why it happens, men with money can do what they like, Filipina girls are lovely and deserve much better than this, sadly prostitution is everywhere in every country, and some men can’t help themselves as a Christian I know this is satans influence, praying for your cities and your country, Jesus is The King of Kings our saviour, if u don’t know Jesus please find out thank you and God bless for sharing this story, I pray the Good Lord will be with you Amen ❤❤❤

You seem to be talking about powerful organisations mostly here, but on dating sites and anywhere are so many girls offering themselves. I'm not sure how those organisations are to blame, but the government that, amongst zillions things, is keeping its people ignorant and poor so organisations or not... things would be better for the overall population, especially the poorest. Poverty and ignorance are the root of this problem

I lived in the Philippines for almost 15 years. Prostitution is a way to survive for many. Especially young women. Is also a place where you can buy/sell LOVE EASILY. Another way of survival is to find online "lovers" that will send money on a regular base. The other is to find, usually an old guy, that will marry them and get them out of the country. Also many low salary retirees all over the world that cannot afford with their pension to live well in their country, move to the Philippines and easily find a female that is at least 20 years younger. A female that will do "everything" to maintain herself, her kids and in many cases her whole family. About this video I can say that most people in power at all levels in the Philippines, are corrupt. And many "policeman" have sex with these girls to allow them to keep working. Finally, sex trafficking exists everywhere in the planet, especially in third world countries.

While the Philippines is often marketed as a tropical paradise, the dark underbelly of the country’s tourism industry paints a very different picture. Prostitution, often swept under the rug, thrives in the shadows. What better way to showcase local "hospitality" than exploiting vulnerable women for the entertainment of tourists? Ah, the true Filipino experience-because who needs pristine beaches and cultural heritage when you've got sex tourism? Sure, it’s illegal, but hey, laws are just suggestions, right?

Damn, the police need to squash the cockroaches. My ex was lured in by that scam once. She and a few of a group of girls pretended they were going shopping and left all their papers and belongings. She wandered the streets and a kind lady took her in and helped her. She never knew how many of the other's went back. She was just 18 and from Mindanao in the province and that was 18 years ago. All the girls were scared and didn't know what was going on. They pretended they were all good and would start 'work' the next day but they needed to go out shopping. The mamasan let them go out. ....Angeles City....Lorebelle never knew how many of the girl's went back, it's really sick what human beings are capable of doing to each other. So guy's, think about that next time you visit some 'fun' area and ask yourselves if you really want to be part of this.😔😔😔

The problem is that Filipinos get paid by the day, whereas the rest of the world gets paid by the hour! The minimum wage is about 600 pesos a day, which is about 10 US dollars. How can anyone survive on such a small amount? This demonstrates the corruption of the Philippine Government. That's why there are so many OFWs, working abroad to support their families. The minimum pay of the average Filipino should be carefully evaluated and adjusted to a realistic level.

  • @mrc_nrd
    @mrc_nrd Месяц назад

Difficult topic. In general, I am against forced prostitution. That should be clear.
But there are men, women and transgender people who work in the red light industry of their own free will.
In my home country, prostitution is legal, but that doesn't mean there is no exploitation. We also have criminals who lure women into our country under false promises and then make them submissive or worse, drug them.
Some nationalities and societies are more impressed with money than others, regardless of whether they are rich or poor. I express myself this way on purpose because I don't want to name a specific country.
Many of the women who work there as prostitutes don't actually do it voluntarily, but they are attracted by the quick money. Why should they work 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week for the equivalent of $400 a month when they can earn the same amount on a weekend prostituting themselves. Ultimately, in this country you can't live a good life on $400, you can't send your children to school, you can't support your parents properly financially and you can't take care of yourself.
So you are essentially working in the trade voluntarily and involuntarily because even if you have studied, most of them still earn less than in prostitution.
What makes things even more difficult is that the family quickly gets used to the large sums of money and sometimes demands more and more money. A person who may only engage in prostitution on weekends in addition to their normal work quickly becomes a full-time prostitute.
Many people also quickly get used to having so much money. You can rent a good condo, buy a car, fly on vacation and live the perfect social media life. Status is important to them.
But since loss of face is also very important in many Asian countries, people often lie. "No, I don't work as a prostitute voluntarily, I'm forced to." sounds better than "Yes, I work voluntarily as a prostitute because I can't earn more money in a short time and I don't feel like working a normal job."
Yes, and then there is the majority who engage in prostitution because they have no alternatives and cannot expect any support from their country or their government.
The perfidious thing about the country whose name I won't mention is that the very families who send their children into prostitution are becoming increasingly stingy. They tell their children to be bad children, they are only good children if they send more money home.
I've heard stories like this, why do I write "stories"? Because you never know if they are true or if you just want to arouse pity. Many foreigners become soft and give large sums of money without anything in return in the hope of being able to “help”. But most of the time they can't help because they are just victims of a well-thought-out scam.
The families who then benefit sometimes also stop working. But not just the parents, also the siblings, the nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts. Everyone relies on the prostitute, who after a few years may even take her own life because she was extremely disappointed by everyone, by customers as well as by her own family, but unfortunately she never felt able to escape the system and break off contact to start a new life. Because in many Asian countries, “family” is extremely important and even as an adult you still do everything your parents ask.
It is impossible to find out who is telling the truth here, who is the victim and the perpetrator.

While I do not discount that some are coerced, and in some cases forced into that life, the vast majority freely move to the city to do that sort of work. The money is the allure. The shear amount of money that they can make in one day, pales in comparison to a job say at an office or a salesperson at the mall.
