The percentage of women and other people who try to scam men is low compared to the percentage of women who want a genuine relationship. But there are enough of them out there to hurt a lot of people. Men just need to be careful, especially those men are are just getting into the international dating scene.
I agree with the person narrating this video that the Best method for meeting a person is in person. But you still have to watch out for people in person too, as the narrator mentioned because there are people out there even in person that still want to try and scam you an empty out your pockets and your wallet and your bank account

If you like the girl go see her but make sure you see her life, job and home.. it's easy to be blind to things if you like someone even in your own country. You'll tell a lot by the kind of company she keeps, if she's friends with girls in the bar, she's a bar girl... If she has the latest phone she has someone probably paying for this, if she has multiple phones, she's a busy girl. I hope it works out for you, but know the Philippines is full of single girls, easy to meet when you get there. I had a few scammers. One said she needed money for medicine for her headaches. Claimed she needed $100 to get that medicine. Another lady I met through an American friend and his filipina wife. Thought I could trust her. She asked for money for her passport and proof she could marry me. My friends wife found out through their common hairdresser she spent the money at the kareoke bar. Multiple scammers ask me for a new phone, claiming theirs is broke which is why they cannot video me.

Sakuradate ought to be called Secure-a-Debt! (Why is this sort of thing even legal?) Their sole purpose is to drain "vulnerable" men's bank accounts all over the world. Great fun. But what does a guy get out of it, other than a lovely chat with an imaginary girl at the expense of at least several years' wages (in a few months). Some mighty expensive trip indeed! Better than a bad drug trip though.
