I grew up in IRELAND in a family of 10 kids and we were blessed if we had any dinner? and pigs feet was dinner quite a bit. We had HEART, KIDNEYS, LIVER and COWS TONGUE 😝. These meal we called POOR MAN'S DINNERS.I think about what my poor folks had to go through to feed us, Cod Bless them they tried🙏👍
I remember my grandmother cooking pig feet and pig tails... boiled and BBQ...mostly in the winter/fall....so delicious....granny grew up on a Georgia farm. We top it w/hot sauce.... A slice of cornbread with a glass of ice tea.
Good morning I want to send Sunday morning blessings to everyone that's reading this and chef Jeffrey that's a good meal for this time of the year we're out of bed in California it's raining so that's comfort food with some cornbread it looks very good into all that sweetness may your day be blessed and highly favored and always remember to stay true to who you are God bless
My mother and grandmother loved pig's feet and ears. Pickled, roasted, and bbq'd. Grandmother also used to make souse meat/ hog head cheese. IDK if there's a difference because if I remember correctly, she used the terms interchangeably.
Growing up in South Georgia, I remember my uncles slaughtering a pig once a year..All the family would gather and the pig was distributed..No parts were wasted..The nostalgic memories are still with me today..💯💯👍👍 I remember buying the pickled pigs feet at the neighborhood store, they were a treat..
I remember my grandmother putting on a pot of pinto beans and pigs feet growing up. I make a very good salary but no matter how famous or well-off I am, there are 2 things I will always eat and that is a good pot of beans and pigs feet,... lol. I love them!
Chef Jeffrey im white/ Caucasian i grew up on the south side of Chattanooga tn, we ate pigs feet, pig ears and everything you have fixed on this channel at one time in my life we had it and was glad we had it. Times were tough back in the day my granny always had food to eat like this.👍
Oh yes I love pig feet, pinto beans, cornbread, coleslaw and sweet potatoes with some onions , tomatoes, and hot peppers on the side and some okra now that's some good eating
Well that settles it. My daughter has been bugging me for pig’s feet for awhile now. I guess I’ll hook her up today!! Thanks Chef!!
The Hispanic also eat every part of the hog.. I’ll take that back I don’t know if they eat the Chitterlings are not 😀
I know ALL about them good ole pig feet and pinto beans😋 You took it wayyyy back chef and keep it coming to us!!
I remember my grandmother cooking this meal. We had a great meal. Chief Jeffrey, I love all of your cooking videos because they remind me so much of my late grandmother's cooking. May she rest in peace, I truly miss her, and she will never be forgotten. I admire you ❤️ please keep up this great cooking.
Hey Old School, that's righteous. An old school Old School dish right there.
Good morning Chef. I was raised by my father in a small town in West Texas. My dad worked at the airforce base.
Morning Chef! You dont have to explain to folk committed to being ignorant! Pork is consumed by every Culture (where its available)not just Black people!!
I'm originally from Alabama, we often put okra in our greens, beans, etc. My SC friends thought it was strange. Has anybody else ever heard of adding okra to your vegetable pots? I was raised on soul food, I just can't do the chicken feet, once I see it, I just can't eat it.🤣
Pig feet, yum. Made my version of souse recently using feet and ears.
I'm Mexican and we usually eat pig feet with menudo but this right here looked 🔥🔥🔥. This also reminds me of my grandma making her hamhock and pinto beans recipe. Also just to let u know I've made ur macaroni salad recipe and let me tell u. It was a huge hit at my son's bday party. Keep it up and much love from San Jose, CALIFORNIA
I remember going to a recommended soul food place built into a converted gas station with some friends in college, that was serving pig feet just like this with beans as the lunch special, and they were absolutely shocked that my white boy self ordered the pigs feet. The chef even came out to "meet the white boy that eats pigs feet" and they were absolutely tickled and gave me a good-natured ribbing about it. Country is country, my grandparents on both sides were farm kids in the depression and nothing was wasted or "unfit" to eat, and that was passed on! The food was so damn good and this immediately reminds me of it and those good times, and I can't wait to cook it myself. RIP Real Deal Soul Food in Waco Texas, great food and great people, and I'm glad I could have my college graduation dinner there and that I found this channel!
Happy Sunday 🎉❤
