I think this is so true. As a child, on the rare occssion that my parent screamed at me, I never paid attention to what they were saying. only when they were friendly did I take the time to listen to what they have to say. Many people will judge this method, saying that it's not hard enough on kids, but spankings and screamings are too harsh. you have to find a balance
