  • The Oregon Capitol Accessibility, Maintenance & Safety Projects, better known as CAMS, is an ambitious seismic upgrade project aimed at fortifying the historic Capitol building from a seismic event while also delivering extensive upgrades throughout the Capitol. On this project, Pacific Foundation and our sister company Pacific Structural Solutions were tasked with the engineering, construction and oversight of a complex micropile and shoring tower solution. On Phase 3 alone, the scope of work included 722 micropiles, over 120 shoring towers with dozens of design variations, shoring walls, shotcrete, underpinning and more all on an extremely aggressive timetable.
To meet the demands of the project and client requirements, Pacific Foundation made a significant investment in additional equipment and manpower while simultaneously evolving the design per the project requirements. We are proud of the efforts of our team, our subcontractors including Fought & Company, Coffman Excavation, Carr Construction, and the tight collaboration with our client Hoffman Construction throughout this multi-year, multi-phase project.
