Ive purchased one of the Blue Provincial sound fitted versions from TMC... I bought it last month its still unopened.. ready for a Xmas present from me to me..
150/2 had connecting doors each end of train for access to other coaches
Fantastic review! I have a Northern Class 150 from a few years ago but I have light issues in the non motored coach because the only way power gets to it is through the coupling, does this newer model now pick up power from all the wheels?
Got one of these from TMC at Warley. Sound fitted £220 !!!!!! Bargain on the week!!!
Hi Jenny the couplings included in the pack of Spares included in your review model Class150 are not in fact Buckeye Couplings as you state. British rail only used Buckeyes on some loco hauled coaching stock on the second Generation DMU's the coupling used was the "Instanter" so called as it not only provided an Instant coupling up without the need to have a staff member to connect cables hoses etc. as the coupling provided these connections via the pins that link the two sides of the coupling. This also allows for quick division of the two destination trains such as the Blackpool North and Southport train mentioned in your piece
That's correct, all the sprinter units used BSI couplers, not buckeyes
@@jamtart606 As do most of the EMUs and anything designed to be used in multiple unit formations
I’d like to know what type ballast you’ve used for your layout cheers 🥂
Certainly not a bargain at Bachmanns price, but pretty good with that heavy discount from TMC,
I'm almost tempted just because it has Manchester Piccadilly on the destination blind.
Had you run it in before the test at around 27:00? It seemed to lurch quite a bit.
Hello Jenny can you tell me if this set will work with the Hornby HM 7000 21 pin chip.
It should work just fine, though at the moment Hornby don't have any DMU sound files available.
Thanks Jenny.
Jenny when you started it moving it was very jerky. Was there something wrong with it
I thought so too, kangaroo juice! 😊
