Yes Internet may kill future Civil Engineer, we students tends to go easy and depends on superiors while lacking of learning (I definitely think our future will only depends on some intelligence but that's wrong, I feel pity on our generation), like instead of getting serious to study some of our major math or physics subject we are easily distracted from influencer out there such as video games streamer whom can earn easily, and we become lack of interest because encouragement was so little and forces to push us is not loud (but If needed I suggest schools must make an exposure from those activities instead of whole day lecture :) because there is something missing to educational system for professional career or even it had it must improve continually though I know you guys earn degree with your effort but dude we have different era and challenges so understand ). But on the other side students shouldn't need to push because some students will search and blind themselves to any distraction just to learn and get focus (have compassion already and passion). I think it depends to the students how he/she take it seriously the career it self as being professional that have desire to build a master piece for his/her country. But still our senior must be responsible for it and feel concern and do something aside from their project and wealth. So my point is do not blame the internet its our era to get used into it, instead help us future professionals I hope someone get it.
But luckily I found something Great to used Internet, Please guys join NSPE OR ASCE for free for students of engineering. And that's approach is very reliable for us.
The speaker is mixing up two different areas of engineering. Comparing productivity between IT and civil engineering is like comparing apples to oranges. One can’t bluff their way through Civil engineering and PowerPoint deliveries either. While IT usually has the glitz it also has massive and ongoing layoffs
