I should bring you my Dad's 1971 Kiekhaefer (Red Band) 1150 L6. It needs fuel pump rebuilds, Carb Rebuilds, new distro belt, and the lower unit rebuilt with a new water pump impeller. Unfortunately my dad and his brothers have not had any time to finish it. I'd love to get it running for him. What is your opinion on CDI replacement parts?
22:10 tapping on the rotor with a hammer gave me huge anxiety.
That rotor was bad. Shaved off due to the faulty bearing.
@@MerCSonL6 the amount of shaved material in there was shocking .. like you said it was surprising it was still making spark..

I have a question, I have a 1977 l6 1150 ran great 4 months ago i went to start it and it wouldn't start but when you let go of the key that's when it tries to start ? Any ideas. I have replaced the ignition switch and that didn't work still does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated

Yes, but it takes heavy fabrication.
