I am, and have been, fully convinced that they're TRYING to kill the game with arguably business oriented decisions so that they can shut down the servers in order to avoid the maintenance costs and a class action lawsuit for not maintaining servers as advertised.
I was thinking the exact same thing, this can't just be ineptitude at this point, they MUST be doing this on purpose so they can move on and forget about this game. However, they can't because there are still people out there more than willing to play this despite the state it's in...

@Alex Fritz No, it's the part of the company that "is never wrong" never listens to the part of the company that "is always right." I can't imagine the Community Team not having tried to go to bat for the members of the community that have actively been working with when the Customer Support Team banned them. I fail to believe that the Community Team didn't submit some sort of list of accounts that are working with them and that are not to be touched. I WOULD believe that the Customer Support Team just ignored it. I fail to believe that the Community Team aren't pissed about all this. In my opinion, I think there needs to be a Bethesda Civil War because it's clear to me that the different teams within Bethesda itself can't or refuse to work with each other.

Now, it was noted that the leak should be taken with a grain of salt, but if true, it wouldn't be surprising in the very least, given Bethesda's track record on this dumpster fire so far.

Simple fix: get a test server so that folks like these can test exploits without being listed as cheaters. But of course, you'd probably have to buy a fallout 2nd subscription.
Wouldn't work... unfortunately. Items transfer between servers. Sometimes players need specific items in order to test exploits. So unless beth makes the server a complete "cheat" server and allows people to spawn items (which would fundamentally change the game mechanics) it just wouldn't... work.
@@reeepingk It is not about game mechanics balance. The goal would be to provide a *safe* sandbox environment for all bug hunters/researchers to test and exploit.
