They won't fix VATS. The problem is that the random number generator used by this engine is brooo-oooo-ohhhh-ken. Always has been. Modders have been tearing their hair out over this since Morrowind. They haven't fixed any other engine problem for the last 15 years, and they won't start now (because all the people who worked on the engine quit the company after Morrowind, or at the start of Oblivion development, and nobody who works there now even understand how it's supposed to work, let alone how to fix it). No worries though! Starfield will use the same engine (and they still won't know how to fix it). So that's something to get excited about.
the delay has nothing to do with releasing a better game, the core structure of that game wont change because of a 5 month dalay lol, maybe they will use that time to find major game breaking bugs, but stop being a delusional fanboy if April wasnt so crowed with games, RE3 remake and FF7R this company would have released the game at that time lol

What would you rather have? A game that releases on time but is buggy as shit, or a delayed game that has very few bugs? It'll still have issues of course, all games do. Fallout 76 is truly the gold standard of Live Service games. I mean we thought it was bad with No Man's sky but at least they fixed a lot of problems at no extra cost eventually. We also thought Mass Effect Andromeda was horrible but they had the guts to abandon that game some 2-3 months in. Fallout 76 has not be fixed, it has not died. Angry Joe once said while reviewing a game that "the bare minimum is acceptable" and that's the reason why these broken ass games still thrive in some way. So long as a game is "playable", it's generally accepted. I personally feel like standards have been set so low when it comes to gaming these days.
To be fair it feels comparable to music, movies and TV in that we're just collectively running out of ideas and are artistically bankrupt. That paired with having too many options and being able to consume exactly what we want when we want kinda cheapens the highs of entertainment. I dunno, I'm dabbling with animation and I've got a template for a basic platformer engine in Unity all I have to do is draw up some sprites and levels, not that it'll ever go anywhere it's just for fun but it's made me realize thinking up new ideas for games in 2020 is hard. That being said fuck Fallout 76.
I’m not exactly the biggest fan of Joe but he has a point.Literally everyone Live service game you can think of since Destiny has been launched in a basic ass state and only years after the fact does it resemble anything even close to a solid game with an actual direction.

@games guitars and gore It’s still a broken incomplete mess of a game since day 1. When Bethesda brings out a game and starts selling it you dam well better expect a finished product for our money. Honestly, I'm starting to believe that they are using this as an advertising tactic. You know a game so so bad that you just have to play it and experience it for your self to believe it.
At least EA had enough sense to realize that Anthem was doomed to failure and have basically pulled the plug without telling people the game is dead. Todd likes to continue to live in his own fantasy where "everything just works" and continues to fall flat on his face.

@Jacob The issue is, you didn't, but others did. We the ones who are enjoying it from afar have to go all quantum on this. The game is and isn't shite. That's confusing.

Honestly, Wastelanders can add a ton of NPCs and I still won't touch it. I played this game in Beta and the general questing was so boring that it wouldn't matter if I got the opportunity to talk to someone or not. Gotta sell those $100 subscriptions. Once their next game is out with a similar sub model, they'll probably drop FO76 in the grave they've been digging since launch.
The only thing hilarious going on here is the fact that people still play this crap and give money to Bethesda. They will continue to do whatever they want and keep making subpar games until people stop supporting them 🤷🏼♂️
Bethesda if they were an honest company- “thanks for writing this post! We know about this problem and we aren’t going to do anything about it for awhile. In the meantime, if you see any more bugs please feel free to waste time writing it out so we can put it on the back burner 🖕🏻.” Edit: also I don’t feel sorry for the people who still play this shit storm. They’re either stupid or they’re a glutton for punishment.

"So the DLC was also broken but there's a new subscription service coming out so I'll keep playing!" "So the subscription service was also broken at launch, but the next DLC will be coming soon, so I'll keep playing!" Madness: Continuing to do the same thing over and over but expecting different results.
Another balance issue: I picked up a bunch of blood leaf to craft disease cure, the blood leaf and various other things spoiled in 2 hrs of having them in my inventory. WTF
Bethesda is probably secretly hoping the players will fix their own game for them like how they did with unofficial patches(Skyrim) but FO76 hurt itself in confusion.

The more that I see the problems of Fallout 76. Makes me appreciate the delay Cyberpunk 2077 made.

In "Typical Consumer" language (Since I'm assuming that's you), that means "They are going to make changes in the way they will be fixing issues in the game as much as possible.".
What would you rather have? A game that releases on time but is buggy as shit, or a delayed game that has very few bugs?
It'll still have issues of course, all games do. It's a complex thing, and developers can't iron out every single little issue. But what they can do is at least deal with any "Game Breaker" bugs.

@@NightsoftInteractive Its making money for them when it really shouldn't. Todd's logic is actually flawless. It does just work, from a corporate perspective.
@@mesothelimoa341 That's basically what I've said ;)
Gotta sell those $100 subscriptions. Once their next game is out with a similar sub model, they'll probably drop FO76 in the grave they've been digging since launch.
If I was rich I would buy everyone that still plays this game another game, because this sheer commitment is insanity.
The only thing hilarious going on here is the fact that people still play this crap and give money to Bethesda. They will continue to do whatever they want and keep making subpar games until people stop supporting them 🤷🏼♂️
Ah, more 76 news! My favorite comedy.

Bethesda if they were an honest company- “thanks for writing this post! We know about this problem and we aren’t going to do anything about it for awhile. In the meantime, if you see any more bugs please feel free to waste time writing it out so we can put it on the back burner 🖕🏻.”
Edit: also I don’t feel sorry for the people who still play this shit storm. They’re either stupid or they’re a glutton for punishment.
FO76 fans: "So the game was broken at launch, but patches are coming out so I'll keep playing!"
"So the patches broke more stuff, but the first DLC is coming out so I'll keep playing!"
"So the DLC was also broken but there's a new subscription service coming out so I'll keep playing!"
"So the subscription service was also broken at launch, but the next DLC will be coming soon, so I'll keep playing!"
Madness: Continuing to do the same thing over and over but expecting different results.
No one's good will lasts forever, though. Eventually they'll get fed up. _Eventually._
Sometimes I question my worth at work... then I think about Bethesda and I feel better. It could always be worse.
lmfao when someone begging to Bethesda...
Another balance issue: I picked up a bunch of blood leaf to craft disease cure, the blood leaf and various other things spoiled in 2 hrs of having them in my inventory. WTF
They have 10 years of technical debt. No wonder it is still crap.
When will people understand that Bethesda is laughing at them.
Bethesda is probably secretly hoping the players will fix their own game for them like how they did with unofficial patches(Skyrim) but FO76 hurt itself in confusion.
I'm more surprised that this piece of Sh. game has still a player base? ... how?
