[Zelda Breath of the Wild] My Longest Flight | 5000M+ Gliding Distance!

- In this video for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, we try to get as far as possible in the gliding mini-game. This is not a world record attempt (I don't have the bomb arrows or patience for that), but we do it all in one glide and make use of a neat trick to do so!

He already put the maximum cold resistance armour on. There was no point in having freeze resistance, it's only logical to put in some heat resistance after.

I don't know if anyone noticed this, but Gladley nailed the landing onto the cart in time with the song, and it's really awesome.

I tested it with hacks. Turns out if you manage to reach Eventide Island, you will teleport back to the tower and lose all of your items forever.

That's awesome! It would be cool to combine this trick with what another RUclipsr did, which was to keep shooting fire arrows at the ground so that it would lift the paraglider back into the air!

Combining this technique with the bomb arrows, I'm curious to know the full diagonal length of Hyrule. This would be a flight that involves using magnesis to start in the northwest corner of the map''s ceiling and lands southeast of Eventide Island. This should be the highest possible score for the minigame if you can manage it, since the distance is based on where you start from, not from the tower itself, and is taken as a straight line to where you land, so going in circles wouldn't add anything.
Actually it does I did circles
I once got 0.0 meters. I opened the paraglider as I hit the ground and it glitched the game so the meter was stuck at the top of my screen and I constantly heard the music.

The elevation of the camera makes a difference in how quickly you drop when gliding. If you look down, you drop faster. For best results, look directly up in the sky and use the map for navigation as best as you can with only brief glances down to check where you are.

it measures how far you go, not how long you glide.

It didn't work for me that way when I tried doing that normally. I tried flying backward to extend my score a bit to go down into a little indent in the ground and I lost distance for it. I'm pretty sure it's how far you travel away from the point in a linear fashion, not how far you travel period.

When gliding, if you position your feet on an object in the distance it will tell you if you will make it or not. If your feet drift above it, you will make it. If they drift below it, you won't.

No it doesn't, since you can change the Y rotation of the camera.
Well yeah, you need to line them up, and then leave the camera in that position. Then watch if his feet fall below, or raise above where you wanted to land.

A channel call mety333 broke this by a lot and he got 9999. He actually made it farther but the game doesn’t let the meters go to 10000. He did do a glitch but it is still one huge glide.
You probably could've gotten more if you'd used the 3 revali gales you had
