What??? Every professional performer does that. Even drugout rock and roll performers can play song after song playing hundreds of chords and notes if not thousands without sheet music..
My first trip to Vegas and the very first show I had attended was this 1980 spectacular extravaganza. I also saw Liberace at the Stardust and once at the Flamingo. One hell of a showman he was.
Mister_Tibbs You are so fortunate to see him!!! I would pay anything to see him in person. What a spectacular man, his talent and beautiful life will live forever. 💕❤️🎹🎼
my grandmother took me when I was young to see Liberace and what a great show! Liberace was a fantastic showman! I didn't think much of it at tge time but years later I remember my grandma and her friends saying how "Dreamy" Liberace is and talking about how some lucky woman would snatch him up one day lol. Grandad said something about him being a "Fruit" which I didn't understand. I of course realized later he was gay and always wondered why that mattered to anyone. Wonderful memories of his show.
My parents went to vesgas EVERY YEAR to see him..And there was never a missed show on the t.v. So when i saw this in such awful disarray i litterally bawled. His staurs are from paris..And those morroccon room tiles...well guess...Lol..I remember when The new owner bought it years ago..After telling a vlogger he was restoring it..I never thought it would happen..BLESS HIM!!!
Sometime in the mid 80s, my grandfather taped a bunch of his LPs so I could have some good music to listen to on my new tape player. The only two I still remember were the Best of Liberace Vol. 1 and 2. I listened to those so much, I eventually wore them out. Liberace is still one of my favorite performers of all time.
❤️🎹Sometimes when I listen to him play, it brings tears to my eyes. His level of talent is out of this world. Nobody will ever be more talented, hilarious, glamorous, entertaining as Lee. Talk about a Legend. He is absolutely amazing. 🎹💕❤️👍

I couldn’t have put it better myself, even to the tears because that’s what I had at the end of this clip before reading your comment. Elvis may be king of rock but Liberace is King of the keys! I actually saw this show at the Las Vegas Hilton in 1981 and Liberace really was a genius pianist. I visited Las Vegas again in 2018 and thought his museum may be still open to the public. Unfortunately it isn’t and the modern Las Vegas generation do not even know about him! It was so sad that even the concierge had to google Liberace’s name. 👑🎹❤️
He was gaudy as hell and larger than life, but he had the talent to justify it. He was easily one of the technically gifted piano players who ever lived. He could make a piano do anything he wanted.

Ha....this is great. I worked as a "show line guard" in the Riviera security department at about the same time. My job was back stage, and at the dressing room. This was the exact same introduction he did at the Riv, but as I recall he had a VW Beetle with the same kind of mirror ball sparkle, and such. The Riv's stage was not as large as the Hitton's and I know that Rolls would have never fit. A lot of good times back then.
I was able to buy some of his jewelry reproductions from the Las Vegas museum when it was open, the piano ring, the candelabra ring, the amethyst ring as well as the first and second editions of the piano watch.
