  • This Dog Bowl Stand is an awesome, easy DIY with a mixed use of material that looks so cool. Built to work for my Labrador. It can be customized to fit whatever size fits your space and need. Definitely a great project to build if you've never worked with concrete before. Thanks for watching!

    Nice design! I would have not used the wood piece with the knot in it, but that’s a personal choice.

    Cool project! I just found your channel via Instructables. Since you've been using this a short while now, is there anything that you would recommend doing differently? Thanks for sharing!

      Hey thanks so very much! This project has held up so well and I'm still so happy with it. The only think I think I might do different in the future is to not plug the screw holes on the underside of the concrete. That way I could change out the top in the future if needed. But honestly, the top is holding up great and I don't see needing to replace it. Thanks so much for watching!

    love it....great idea...I may make a branch from this idea , but the sealer is sooo toxic , wish there were ways to do these things w less toxic chemicals...there have to be alternatives ,, more green products. like I would use nails instead of glue no poly urethane ugh...but thx. I'm gonna do its w/ out the chemicals thx

    Nice - I would imagine (without seeing your video first mind) that doing stuff with concrete would be hard. Not so!
    Nice one. Got a sub from me! :-) quick question - would you think about polishing the concrete too? Cheers!

    • @MakerGray
      @MakerGray  5 лет назад +2

      Thank you so much Rich! The concrete came out very smooth, but I imagine polishing wouldn't hurt at all if that is the look you'd like. I made a different concrete project (the side table) and because it was formed in a plastic bucket, it came out remarkably smooth. Looking forward to more concrete projects. Cheers!

    Is there a more efficient way or technique to remove bubbles while or after boring the concrete?

    • @MakerGray
      @MakerGray  5 лет назад

      The mallet has worked well for me but I've seen people use sanders (with no sandpaper attached) to vibrate the sides and pop the bubbles with success.

    do you have a list of supplies and measurements? thanks. I have two black labs and a foster boxer/ massif mix.

    • @MakerGray
      @MakerGray  5 лет назад

      Your doggies need this! I don't think the measurements are on my website, but I do know that the supplies are. If you go to makergray.com you'll see them there.

    So how did you stop the dog bowls from sliding about on the top?

    • @MakerGray
      @MakerGray  3 года назад +1

      I use dog bowls that have a non skid bottom and they stay on just fine

  • @PENGUlN124
    @PENGUlN124 5 лет назад

    But there are no holes for the bowls? Will you just sit them on top?

    • @MakerGray
      @MakerGray  5 лет назад

      PENGUlN124 Yep. Right there on the top.

    How often does the top need to be resealed?

    • @MakerGray
      @MakerGray  5 лет назад

      I've never resealed mine and have been under the impression that I won't have to. But I guess it just depends on what wear your top sees.
