- We are thrilled to introduce best-selling author Sasha Alsberg and her friend Alex to the channel. Sasha joined us for our November writing retreat to work on the edits to the sequel of "Breaking Time". Sasha & Pavlina have a great time dressing up (ok, Stephen & I too) and taking some awesome photos and videos to entertain everyone here and on instagram.

Sara, an IT professional & Stephen a graphic designer and artist are world-traveling Canadians who dreamt of moving to Europe, and France in particular. In 2020 they were working from home when Stephen turned to Sara and popped the question she was longing to hear, “What would have to be true for us to buy a chateau in France?” They searched online for months viewing hundreds of properties. They narrowed their search and toured some properties when they happened upon the one that captured our hearts, Château de Saint-Germain-des-Prés. A year later they made the move to France to start their new adventure in our beautiful Château. They created “Manor and Maker” to reflect the two sides of their adventure. One, to live as chateau owners with all the ups and downs and two, to pursue their passions as makers, creating art in all its forms. They will invite others to come together, united by their passions, to share in this adventure. We invite you to join us too, as we bring our dreams to life. Welcome to Manor & Maker.

I have so many favourite photo’s throughout-the panned out photo on the bridge (barefoot was a great idea-added to the Romance), running up the staircase, and the evening shots in the tower!!! The lighting was perfect and both ladies were absolutely STUNNING.

Good afternoon Steve & Sara, oh the photos are so elegant. The chateaux in the background made these so stunning. I had to smile at their footwear, that was something else, but it kept their feet dry!! Paulina has a quiet beauty about her, and the clothes suited her so nice. Sasha was very vibrant with the bright and glowing hair. The white complimented her 100%. What a woman. It was an unusual video, I loved the scenes inside and out. The photos with the candles were stunning. How the light brought out their beauty was amazing. Excellent photography Steve. That was a lot of work done, very professional. Popping over after seeing Stephanie's wee version of her chateau that Jared made. Thought Steve, being the graphic artist might be the one to go to with this. I suggested on Chateau Diaries that there should be plans created of all the chateaux in your little group, scaled down to doll house size. People could buy the various plans and build and decorate them. A great way to interact with all of you, and for you to make extra $. How fun would it be to eventually collect all of them?

OK, so I have placed a Hold at my local public library on Sasha's book - there is a waiting list (which is a good thing for her!). This vlog, with the friendship and fun between all of you, is such a lovely snapshot of good times. May you all treasure these moments.
