Clint Kubiak will develop this kid into a solid starter and maybe a superstar. Glad the Saints picked him up.
Rattler's arm strength and accuracy, ability to stay in the pocket and take a hit before delivering a strike, creativity to make plays outside the offense, guts and confidence that come across as cockiness are the positives. Sounds like a former late second round pick out of Southern Miss in '91 who's Uncle Rube was made famous or infamous depending on your taste by John Madden. Rattlers downside, he's small which will inhibit his ability to identify passing lanes and shed would be tacklers outside the pocket. His agression on the field at times has created problems on the field as far as discipline and judgement. That report lends itself to a probable 3rd round selection.
I love Spencer Rattler as a solid sleeper pick. He’s a great QB and he’s kinda been lost in the mix at SC. He’s a sneaky good athlete and I think he is kinda like Mahomes in that we haven’t been able to see his football IQ in the systems he’s played in.

He strikes me as a journeyman type who could hang around for a while and won't embarrass himself when called upon but I wouldn't use a day 1 or 2 pick on him.

Actually our line is a big question mark tgst I’m concerned about. We need this first round kid from Oregon State to come through and I’m hoping we can salvage Trevor Penning as well. Good news is rattler doesn’t have to come in and start right away. Carr is there realistically at least 2 more years.

@@JerseyGuys75his attitude has already changed immensely. If you actually followed his career you’d know how much he changed since his time at Oklahoma.
South Carolina belonging to the SEC is a bit misplaced. It can be argued that it's the best football conference in the nation, what are the Gamecocks doing there? Perhaps the other USC would perform better in Conference USA although those road trips to Tulane may be a killer!
