This is why a YUV to VGA would be my preferred choice, and I already was eyeballing that VGA to HDMI as a way to inject audio, but don't have HDMI to VGA dongle laying around. 👍 thanks for testing for me 😉
I would be concerned about latency, but I suppose that since there are more video stages than audio, if anything the extra adapter would reduce audio latency relative to the video...
I'll say this. I did not notice any latency but maybe a hardcore gamer might. Lol. I still have to use it more but its good to know that there is a way to get audio out through the HDMI port without having to spend $100.00 on an HDMI audio encoder.
Oh yes, and although I am definitely in favor of using HDMI audio injectors , they are pricey compared to this solution. In the end this was a fun experiment that people can try out with what they might already have in a box gadgets.

NO NO NO.. we need the 'break the license hack' using your electronic skills ! :)
I wish I had those skills!
@@rockyhill3 does your coco2 have dts + audio ? It shouldn't be too hard then :)
@@MrDave6309 7.2 surround sound of coarse.
So there must be a way to simply do the same thing within the RGBtoHDMI. Why isn't it part of the board?

One idea will lead to a better solution
oh yes, I agree.
bu this is a pretty good idea.
Hdmi audio injectors exist in a single box. You won’t lose video quality.
