i have 2 spl subwoofers on 5000w rms which i didn't yet connected - if 1500 rms can do 151.2db then i guess i went overboard... Targa Comp 4D 12dvc4 triple stacked magnet on 3 inch coils the box recommend is at 48.7 liters - i also have a epicenter with a 3 way active crossover and 7 band graphic equalizer with a 20 Farad capacitor... I really underestimated SPL series and now i have to like use half of my sound or go less, i have a 9500 rms mono amp running on 35000w - i thought it wasn't good enough so i went to order two more subs - starsound ssw 12 monster and the starsound ssw 12 zombie the original not the copy and bought a 7800w rms mono amp on 25000w its a starsound comp. d class amplifier... i drive a golf 5 gti... the sound is gonna ruin my car... so i'll just use one subwoofer and get a smaller mono amp doing 140.5 db is more than enough for me... Thanks to you guys this video has been a great help to me...

jordi vanheeswyck don't worry. Subs prices are different in each country. You can make box yourself for around 30 eur. And don't buy at home depos, diy stores. Buy at specialised wood markets (because lower prices and better service.) Also fuck mdf. It sucks.

At the shows I would go to, the place I bought the speakers from would go there and compete with the same speakers and they did like over 155db with ease. I wanted the same thing they had, and they did the best they could. It was had for under 2000$ too. 148 was my street tune. It sounded great. I played rock/rap/electronic in there... Sometimes even played Enya :)

it has a resonant frequency (Fs) of 31.8hz so if you tune the box to 29 or 30 it can get as low as 27 or 26 but with a slightly less volume you know! i don't oun one but i know from experience. my first sub was an 8" sub with a Fs of 56hz and it could get as low as 27 with a well made box

Ground zero subs dont like clipping. I can play 1400w rms gz sub on 1600w rms all day(dustcap warm), but if it hits even tiny bit of clipping, it gives off smell instantly. (Dustcap cold)

they are not going to compete with that, they were just testing how much it can handle.
