I really enjoy a broader spectrum of reviews. There are enough channels that only do PC stuff.. I myself do only Knives and EDC and am thinking about doing a bit of home stuff.. I think best is you really do what you want. If you care for it, others will too.
I'm used to living in old cabins and house suites, I saw something similar to this at a friends house and was like "what kind of star trek world are you living in??!" lol... they do look super cool.
I am getting the T5 soon. Good video. I think the issue with 5Ghz is where the thermostat is located. It doesn't go through walls as easy as 2.4Ghz and the tech line here in the USA is hard enough to get a tech to work with on the phone without those rf issues adding to trying to get one up and running.
Ive had trouble with the T6 recognizing I'm home if the internet was disrupted and lare re-established. To resolve I had to logout all the connected devices within the geosphere and the log in one device, start to set up a schedule then go back to the geoshere function.
This video is 2 years old now, do you still use the T6? How does it work on long term? My old thermostat is getting a but glitchy. I'm thinking about buying a smart thermostat and the T6 seems to be good price-quality?
Awesome device! Got mine connected with my Lenovo Smart Display(with Google Assistant) which is also connected to a few home minis. Keep up the good work!
Can it follow a schedule as well as do geofencing? So if I set up a schedule, but have a day off one day and I'm home, will the thermostat follow the schedule but learn that I'm home and figure out to turn on the furnace that day?
Can this do humidifier control? In Canada in winter we need HUMIDIFIERS, not dehumidifiers. I cannot find a wifi thermostat anywhere that can do this. This excludes most of the Canadian market unfortunately.
Infomrative, but at break-neck speed - I had to listen back again twice to get some bits.(Maybe Im getting old?) There were a fair few negative points raised, Im not sure if they were really that appropriate but it does prove the independence of the reviewer.
if the schedules are set and you leave the home does geofencing still tun off the heating and set to away temp and then resume the schedule when you return to home radius?
I got one last month for my vacation home. This moth it sends me a message I must change a filter every month? What filter and where is it? If this is true it is very impractical for a home that you leave for periods of time. 🙁
I have this device. The hardware is excellent, however, the software from Resido and Honeywell is dreadfully, it will suddenly go into meltdown wit no connection available via Alexa, only to return to normal days later. It seems that Resido control this device not the owner. I am going to ditch and switch to the Hive.
@ Unicorn Reviews Can it control humidity? I mean, not just displaying humidity level on screen but rather connecting to a humidifier, automatically turn it on and off, when humidity is needed?
The irony is, that while i usually watch your videos, this time I thought: boring. But now I actually end up considering whether I want this thermostat. Hahaha. So jokes on me. :p But most importantly: review what YOU want to review! No interest result in no expertise and bland content (generally).
Thank you! I stopped reviewing products I don't personally care about a few months ago. Sometimes it means I only get a couple hundred views, but that's ok. Luckily, I have some content coming up that everyone cares about.
T5 is a retail unit with a one year warranty. The T6 is a "commercial" unit with a five year warranty. I was told by my installer that is the only difference.
What is the delay from the phone to the therm my old honeywell was about 10 seconds my friend bought a nest-5gz all changes from phone are in real time what the hell is wrong with honeywell why are they not transitioning to 5gz they remind me of honda in a way they refuse to make an 8cylinder vehicle when everyone else is.

Thanks for the good and honest review! I bought a T5 today so let's see how it stacks up to the Ecobee I have in my other home!

Does geofencing have any real benefit? Adjusting temp when I'm a few miles away would have negligible difference by the time I got home.
Maybe recognize when u leave

Hi is working with Honeywell hr92 ?

Can this be connected to Samsung Smartthings?
Anyone using this with HomeKit if so can everything be configured within it ?
I like this review. I'm fine with smart home type stuff. I'm guessing it doesn't have google home/amazon echo connectivity though?
No none of that stuff :(
It does now!
What is the white box??

what's the difference between t5 and t6?
t5 is cheap. T6 is costly.
I don’t even see this T6 anywhere except his link... suspect.
T5 is for USA , T6 is for Europe

REPLY. lmao.
Is it still alive? :)
You don’t need 5GHz for a thermostat, it’s the smallest packet of information being transferred!
But i have only 5 Ghz router :(
Do you need internet gateway for this?
Good Job

sounds like you are talking through a sock, your mic is pointed at your neck
I like it and go ahead
