I work on carts and this video is very good at explaining the woring and if you need to troubleshoot the most causes of cart failures he shows how to bypass the correct way.
I been working on these for a few years. My most favorite cart is the early 90s ezgo marathon.. easy system and several parts available. You get straight to the point my friend. Some viewers don't want to see someone always working on show room carts. They like to watch someone who knows and actually teaches/shows them what to check, and what that parts does.. keep the great videos coming and be safe.
I been working on them since 1997. Seems like about 100 years ago. I try to tell everybody that all golf cart use the same principle to run. Once you know how it works there’s nothing to it. Keep up the good work. Thanks for watching. All the carts from 1995 and back are a piece of cake. Simple system. In 1995 they came out with the dcs which was more computerized and haven’t looked back since. But at the end of the day. There all easy.
You are so right. I don't know if you have a video of the older type of speed controller ( like the 1204 series) I get several questions on the ebay or Amazon cheap controllers and there questions are either will it work? Or what does it mean when the ad says 0-5k. Also lots ask what that small white connector is and the other terminal on the other side? That would be a good topic if you have not made one yet. I sent 2 customers just today 9.18.24 to your channel and explain to the customers that you do a great job of explaining.. you have my sub for sure
Lmao. I tried man. Just been busy as hell. Actually made it Monday. Just had it scheduled for Friday. I have new videos scheduled for Mondays and Friday. Thanks for commenting 🤛🤛
How do you know what the studs are on the motor? Mine has 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom? Looks like a different motor than what you have. I’ve got a 1990 EZGO marathon. Thanks so much for your video! I’ve been dead in the water with my project… this is the first detailed video I could find online regarding wiring.
The studs that are near the end of the motor are going to be your ground and your hot wire. The studs that are closest to the ,rear end are going to come from your f n r board. If that doesn’t help let me know or if your studs are in a single up and down line of 4.
Hey Hey Hey! I had a question on my 2019 club car tempo. When charging I remember you said that I can leave it plugged in all the time? Let’s say it’s in my garage for a week before I use it. Should I put it in tow mode and leave the charger plugged in or just run mode and leave the charger plugged in?
@@HeyHeyHey97 yes sir. There was some devastating tornadoes here in Oklahoma Saturday night. Completely took out a town just about 45 mins south of me. Lots of damage. You getting busier with the warmer weather?
So the solenoid clicks and cart don’t run. I’d you a cart like I’m the video. Jack it up and jump m- and b- with an old battery wire and hit gas in forward with key on and see what happens. But be careful because when you jump it it will take off wide open until you take the wire off or let go of the gas
@HeyHeyHey97 it is a marathon, I put a new motor in it an now it works fine. Lol but I do have the issue where when I ket off the accelerater the brakes engage at 100%, it is lifted should I check for loose U bolts? I think the axle might be twisting. But when I haul ass it's fine only when going slow. So that confuses me.

Thank you man. How long you been working on carts for.

0-5 k is for the Ezgo marathons and the older club cars. That is a potentiometer reading. As you hit the gas it go 0-5k on the ohms
LOL. I needed this a week ago... but, nothing like figuring it out on your own, haha. Great video!

Run mode and leave the charger plugged in
Very well explained my friend! Thanks for the video!
Thanks Jake. Appreciate the comment. You still staying busy. The weather is changing.

@jakekay5588 yes sir business picking. I’ll pay for Oklahoma. Haven’t heard. Nothing about the tornado. What’s the population
@@HeyHeyHey97small town around 5,000 people. Yeah there were over a 100 tornadoes this weekend between Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas I believe.
Great video! Question though, do I need to connect the 2 micro switches on the F&R? Or can I just use the 1 micro on the peddle and run the cart?
You can just use the one pedal.
As long as you run a wire straight from key switch to the Microswitch on the potentiometer.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Hit that like and subscribe button for me.
Awesome thank you! Keep up the easy to follow trouble shooting. Wiring diagrams suck. We like videos. 🤣🤣
@@matthewTownsend-dt7ye lmao. Yeah me too videos are easy. Hit that like button for me.
What if you hit the gas and the controller box just clicks an nothing happens?

@HeyHeyHey97 I jumped it at that interval still nothing. I have 36 volts at both those points when pedal is pressed.
Is your cart like the picture above. A marathon
Also is the keyswitch by your leg or in the dash
