- When someone thinks of niche fragrances houses, typically there is a subconscious understanding that they are lesser-known than popular designer scents. However, there are some exceptions, perhaps the leading one being Creed Aventus, a 2010 creation from the brand that has transcended its niche classification and has become one of the most hyped fragrances in the world regardless of genre. But how much of that is warranted? In this video, we’ll discuss Aventus'scent profile, and 3 reasons to buy and not to buy in 2022.

I know many will say this is old news, but it was inevitable to cover Aventus on this channel at some point. What are your thoughts on Aventus? A timeless classic worthy of the praise, a hyped scent that falls short of its reputation, or something in the middle of the extremes?
I like the scent and honestly regard it in much the same way as a rich dessert: not something to indulge in too often to appreciate it all the more when you do.
Aventus is definitely a timeless classic, just like Green Irish Tweed. It gets a lot of hate lately, but it remains a masterpiece.
@@zsb707 a lot of people properly also just hate it because they dont have the money for
@@mixedpleasure4324 That's true.
I really enjoy Aventus, most notably its versatility. While polarizing like the house it hails from, sales figures cannot be denied.
Creed is Lamborghini/Rolex doesn’t matter if u see a lot of people with a Rolex. It’s still a Rolex.
Bought this over a year ago. Absolutely incredible scent and performance is good. Compliment heavy hitter, but the price kills it's purchase consideration.
The price is what makes you different from others cuz it’s a good investment not many ppl have it
320$ on Costco tho definitely worth it for that

I bought this fragrance right at the introduction in 2010. I was looking for a special fragrance, researched online and found this recommendation of a "brand new" niche scent. I went to the only store in town which sold it, one of the biggest shopping houses in europe. No one knew Aventus back then and barely did people knew about Creed.
I smelled the frangrance and fell in love. To this very day, I have never ever smelled a better thing like this first bottles of Aventus. It is really by far the most heavenly smell on earth.
I got compliments for left and right. In public office buildings in elevators, where never strangers start to talk, someone said "who is smelling so good" and a chatter about it started. On the street people stopped me: "Is this you, wow you smell so good!". Women, men, adults, older people. It was crazy. It was unbelievable.
I received so many compliments, one day in an office I worked the boss came over and asked us: "Who is smelling so good, the whole office smells so good!" I knew it was me, had only sprayed two times. I told him and in the middle of work he went to the store and came back with Creed Aventus.
Then the reformulations started: first, the Birch note was nearly completely vanished. By this time, many people started to buy this fragrance which was a real weapon. There is a reason people called it panty dropper. It really was. Why should there be so many people calling it like this if there never was something to it? It was. It just changed by the time the real masses adopted the fragrance.
It felt like Creed thought that this fragrance was too good to be on the market. At first I thought they will bring the real formula back for a higher price. Which would be ok, I would pay easily 1000$ on a bottle if it were the real formula. I thought they will do this, to outprice the masses and make it a niche again. But instead they just reformulated it so bad, that not only the smokiness was gone but later the lasting of the fragrance was dropped to half an hour. While it was days at the beginning.
If they ever will bring back the original frangrance, people who now don't understand the batch discussions, will understand.
Thank you maestro for this wonderfull comment !
Have you tried DUA Poseidon’s Elixir 13ZZ. It’s a replica of the original batch 13ZZ01 . My friend who’s a hard core collector has some of the original batch (and I totally know what you mean by that birch note ) . We compared that to the DUA version and we were both very impressed. Check it out
@@dusanninic5372 Thx!
@@omarlegend Thx! Googled it but couldn't find a shop to order from. Do you know where I can get it? Would definitely try it!!
Perfectly summarized everything … I share the same opinion and frustration. :) I’ve been searching for a solution in the last 5 years .. Armaf cdni LE sometimes gives me sniffs what Aventus was .. aventus is now a joke for lots of money
Thanks for the in depth review. In Australia we have never heard of it! We always wondered what RUclipsrs were talking about.
Accidentally stumbled upon this fragrance channel. I know you for the down to earth watch channel that really reached me as I'm a middle class dude. You do it beautifully navigating from cheap Seikos to crazy Pateks. I am pleasantly surprised by this channel as I'm debating on buying a bottle of Aventus. Tried it today at my local Neiman Marcus (store that I don't belong) 8 hours later this thing is still in my wrist. Wife loves it. Good thing is that I know Gray market because of watches and one of them carries this for a steal.
Keep it up Teddy. You're really good at what you do, presenting good stuff for normal people. Not everyone can drop 500 bucks in a fragrance, or 250k in a Patek. And that's what I love about your content.
In my opinion nothing dries down to mix with the skin so beautifully like aventus I mean nothing!..great video
been wearing this for 10 years and it's still my favorite scent overall! it's changed over the years and is way less powerful than it was in 2012 BUT it's still fantastic! i think it's funny that everyone says so many people wear it, but the truth is it's not as popular as the internet would have u believe! i agree that it smells better in the air!!!
I actually appreciated the breakdown of the pros and cons of Aventus. I agree with many of your points. I also agree with another commenter that Creed is just getting ready overpriced these days. But, i do have my favorites from the line, Aventus being one of them as well as Viking and Royal Oud. Enjoying the channel. Keep up the good work.
i feel creed is really struggling with the fact that they become less and less lasting per batch and on the other hand super high priced. my latest purchase of royal oud lasts maybe 4-5 hours
to the day there are NO alternatives to Aventus, no matter what batch you have, there is a very natural thing about Aventus that no one could reproduce..it brings all my senses to life..is amazing
Another great video! For me, it’s the only fragrance I’ve ever been complimented on, multiple times, by ladies and gents 😉 My favorite thing about it is how my shirts smell after wearing it and washing. Always a pleasure to do the laundry 😅
Same!
Awesome.🔥 I like the your cool, laidback description of fragrances Teddy.
Appreciate it, my friend! Thanks for watching.
I have to say I love the atmosphere of these videos. They’re very fun and interesting to watch! On a side note I love your jacket! Where did you get it?
Thanks Alex! It’s from Taylor stitch.
Great review and stellar fragrance. It absolutely needs to be smelled off the SKIN, and in the air. Intoxicating. Doing quick reactions off of paper just doesn’t capture the fragrance at all.
I never knew you make Fragranace content btw Aventus is actual love for me , over a litter stored
Hey Teddy, loving the fragrance videos, great work. Maybe mention what watch you’re wearing in each video in the description.
🎯🎯
Thanks for considering batch variations. Many people love the smell, but they are talking about 2017 or something, which might not apply to current batches. That said, in the future, please include EDT/EDP/Parfum, etc. in your fragrance videos. Future fragrance video options, Tom Ford comparisons or blind tests? Niche fragrance blind tests? Btw, love your watch videos. Picked up Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 (blue/bracelet) and Quartz version (black/black leather) and Seiko Presage sharp edge (blue) within the past 3 weeks. Next up, Grand Seiko SBGX261, hopefully. Keep up the great work.
Great start on the watch collection and appreciate the support. We can start including the concentration mode clearly in the videos.
@@BaldassarreFragrance Omg, I just noticed your niche fragrance blind test video. My bad, lol.
Easily the best fragrance review channel to date. Informative, visually pleasing, well done. Notification bell worthy. A first for me. 👏
Kept bumping this off because of the price, but Aventus is now back on my radar after this video.
Appreciate this feedback, jack! Just getting started so it means a lot.
Has Aventus changed the formula? Been wearing since it was released and could get 8 hour wear. Bought from Neiman's in ATL and it doesn't perform like normal. Becomes a skin scent within an hour. Hoping it isn't a counterfeit. Does anyone know?
Aventus Cologne is a great scent and offers more versatility. Women really like the citrus opening.
Submariner set the standard and is a classic… although not “technically” a classic, I would agree with the aventus comparison. Spot on! Another great video!
Thank you, Spencer. Not completely apples to apples but for impact on the product category and period they arose, I think you can make the claim.
The Rolex comparison is apt though with prices these days I think an OP or Datejust may be a better comparison.
It's certainly not super unique now, but much like Rolex you'll know it works well and isn't going to make the average person go "why would you like wearing that?" If someone has a collection of pricier fragrances then going more niche is understandable but a first pricey purchase is going to warrant a safe choice for many.
That said, much like watches the number of guys wearing fragrances in the general population is so small now that it will still stand out. It's one of the scents I've gotten enthusiastic complements on.
As a personal bonus, fresh cut pineapple is one of my favorite things to eat so a fragrance that reminds me of it is especially nice.
I am a watch guy and loved the comparison of aventus to Rokex submariner.....I have other creeds but never bought aventus like you said a bit main stream in niche market. I will buy there less known scents
Aventus Cologne is a great fragrance. I like it more than Aventus.
Probably one of the best fragrances around!! But that mofo price!! Thank you for the Christmas gift dear😍
For me Aventus was a scent that (at the time, last year) I wasn't quite mature enough for, but just recently (after having CDNIM EDT, EDP and LE Parfum, as well as Cedrat Boise...even though the Mancera isn't a clone) I got another bottle as a gift (2022 batch) and now that I have tried the clones and the "Aventus killers", I can safely say that none of them come close, I can try them back to back and none of them have the quality...they might get very close, but nothing like the original.
I have all these clones to save on the original, but I had no idea that the difference was that much palpable when compared directly.
I would both agree and disagree that this is the Rolex Submariner of the fragrance world. In terms of it's pricing it's pretty much spot on with the Sub; over what any non-enthusiast would consider a reasonable price but more so on the entry level for people that are really into fragrances or watches respectively. It's very iconic and anyone that knows a thing or two about the watch/fragrance world will probably recognize these two instantly. They are also both part of the casual/sports craze going on in the luxury world as of late. The same way a Submariner is a more casual piece made of non-precious metals, Creed Aventus is a sweet, leathery, citrusy and musky scent that isn't in your face like you might expect from a luxury perfume, but is a classic masterpiece regardless. Both feel at home wearing a suit, leather jacket or even a white shirt with jeans, but you get the point. Where I think this differs is that this is more of a niche fragrance wheras Rolex is pretty much known by everybody. This is usually where I run into trouble with these types of comparisons as well though, because Rolex is kind of in a unique situation. It is perceived by many to be the best watchmaker despite being outclassed by many others. In the car world we would say that Rolex is Ferrari in terms of public perception but in reality a much better comparison would be between Ferrari and Patek. Rolex is more like BMW or Porsche, though no one things BMW's are the 'best' cars ever made the same way many do with Rolex. Anyways, that's my two cents on it. Being a 'niche' fragrance house that pretty much everyone who knows anything about perfumes knows about, I'd compare Creed as a company more so to Richard Mille than Rolex. The prices don't line up though seeing as RM are literally skyrocketing in value.
watches and fragrances ! Lovely !
I can’t smell it after 5 minutes but I get sooo sooooo much compliments with this scent.
5minutes? You should check your nose bro😂 If you get compliments it means others can smell it so your nose is not ok.
I already have A Ralph Lauren,1 million and Dior Sauvage I think I’ll just wear those for awhile and put those to use my next purchase I want to buy this thanks man.
Great review bro is Aventus timeless
I was gifted a bottle of Aventus from a friend who is a much bigger frag head than me who was trying to thin out his collection, lucky me. It’s beautiful, and I do like it enough to wear it. Would I actually purchase it myself; prob not. I can think of 3-4 designer niche in quality/creativity scents I would buy instead. TBH, I wear AV when I’m in autopilot, appeasing the ppl mode, not necessarily for my total enjoyment.
I would not reject Creed Aventus for being "seen in the wild more than any other niche fragrance", i.e. too popular and commonplace, any more than I would reject my Eames Chair or Le Corbusier chaise lounge for being too ubiquitous and "played out". Im not going to ditch a print of the Mona Lisa cuzz it's been "played out" over multiple centuries. Classic is classic. And a masterpiece is a masterpiece. It's the difference between art and fashion.
That's exactly how I feel about green irish tweed to be honest- you've hit the nail on the head. Perfect analogy.
THANK YOU👍
The 21p01 batch is just like my 17n01 batch. Very happy with newest formulation and I only paid 240 for a 3.4oz bottle so the price is right for new batches.
where did you get it?
Batch 123 makes my blood boil where 456 makes me like the citrus blend but 789 got the nicer pineapple but not a big fan of 987 because it has too much musk 321 literally makes me want to hit a wall because it has 1% less smoky notes
I purchased my first bottle of Aventus on 3/12/22 and to give it a fair shake It's been my daily wear for the vast majority of the last month and a half (4/28/22 as of today) and I'm sadly not impressed. I only get about 2-3 hours of performance on my skin and 4-6 (very faint) on my clothes. To make sure I wasn't just going nose blind to it I had my wife and coworkers act as secondary sniffers (scientific term don't @ me lol) and they came to the same conclusion. I can say I love scent; however, I can't justify buying another bottle or recommend anyone purchase a bottle.
My might of turned nose blind? You should ask someone if they still smell it if you dont
@@joakimhaggstrom4123 he did state that he had other people smell to check if he went nose blind
Afnan Not Only Intense is the best Aventus inspired fragrance out there. Insane quality. Also has some Oakmoss in it which makes it interesting.
Old batches used a herb which is now banned in West for making perfumes. That's why it affected the performance and yes this is absolutely a beast fragrance.
I'm looking to get into creed are the new batches any good? For example 22B11B
I like the Aventus scent profile, but have been content with a ~$40 dumb-reach bottle of Mont Blanc Explorer and picking up the occasional decant of Aventus like I typically do with other Creeds. I like fragrances but am not interested in spending $300-$500 on one bottle when I can spend that over time on like 20 10ml decants. I like the variety.
Here in Europe you can buy a bottle of Aventus for a very good price. Decants are the way to go.
I don't know why I don't see this reasoning more often! This is exactly what I do!
If you have a collection of decants, plus some full bottles you're set for a long time. You're then enjoying variety and quality.
Lol explorer
I really don't think Explorer / Aventus / Hacivat smell alike at all. There's like a very slightly similarity in there but they smell like totally different fragrances. I actually really enjoy Explorer for the price as well tbh.
@@ParabolaTool to me ,, Explorer smells like pencil shavings.
What product do you wear in your hair. We have similar hair types and the look you have created looks ideal and I would really appreciate if you can let me know what product you use? Many Thanks
I like it and own a bottle.
I also just read The Ghost Perfumer by Gabe Oppenheim which talks about the history of Creed and how it might all be made up. It’s also a fascinating look into who the real perfumers are behind the fragrances.
I heard some rumblings about this lately. Going to give it a closer look.
I got both aventus and the gold bottle i will buy aventus it’s the best
Yes from creed the most wearable are Aventus and Silver Mountain Water and actually they are the most versatile from Creed. Both are the Only I buy from creed and I see as thd best ftom creed yet I have not smelled all Creed fragrances. Those two are mostly Summer and autumn and spring . You have to give them maturate at home 6 months in the bottle ( sit before first use at 23 , 24 cellcius) in order to get very good performance from them. So buy them 6 months before spring or summer. And... then God is on your side :)
Layton is only winter to me - a must have winter fragrance.
Tuscan leather is only winter - a must have winter to the more appreciative ones . Nothing can take this ruspberry -leather mutual dance. The saffron is an anti depressant snd good mood smell .
Yest I have them both
I can also recommend those a very natural juices that are niche - designer :
Chanel blue EDP ( even the perfum concrntration yet more expensive and smells the same)
Eau Sauvage EDT ( not Sauvage but Eau sauvage and only EDT concentration dince EDP smells diffetent) -- this the bergamot version of aventus in terms of quality yet in Aventus it is the pinapple . Most natural uplifting bergamot smell there is. Ohhhhh. Every man from 17 years old and up must have this !!!
OH SHIT TEDDY HAS A FRAGRANCE CHANNEL NOW. I really got into aventus batches and the older stuff (2018 and earlier) has patchouli and lasts much longer. I'm selling a tonne of my new 2021 bottles because I feel they dont last long at all :/ Dont think it's a maceration thing.
The 2021s have a really nice opening. Much more pineapple than the old ones which are dep, woody and patchouli heavy. But they last 30 mins unfortunately.
MB explorer is a good alternative since the amber makes it long lasting and the pepper mixes things up a bit. I'm actually getting CDNIM pure parfum coming in a few weeks. Didnt like the EDT because it was too sharp, but apparently this is much nicer.
What about a 100ml bottle for $299 shipped, would that be a no brainer at that price point?
Hey bro what glasses are you wearing those are nice
In Asia, we just get parallel imports, it's much cheaper, u can get Aventus for USD 250. Ask someone or a wholesale company with a lower currency exchange to buy in their country and send it over from there. Simple loop hole. They earn money, u save money. Win win situation.
Creed sublime vanille is the best one the Bond no 9 line is the one for me
I bought this fragrance a year ago and it’s my absolute favorite cologne. It last 8 hours with 2 sprays so I don’t understand why ppl say it only last a half hour. Will forever be a staple in my collection.
My buddy told me you can also use some Vaseline on the spot(s) where you're spraying the cologne to make it last longer
It’s like meal in a plate, every bottle is different, some last long and some don’t
Does it really last? Ppl are saying it lasts only 3-4 hr
@@endribarziu8752 They fixed it, the lasting power is more consistent
@@endribarziu8752 I’d say 6-7 hours average and it’s a skin scent. But I only use this in spring and summer so for me it lasts longer in my opinion.
Creed Aventus as the Rolex Submariner of the Fragrance World is an accurate comparison.
What other watches would you equate to a fragrance? That's a video I would love to see.
Seems more like a buzzfeed article than a professional analysis.
Omg you put into words what I couldn’t figure out. It smells better in the air!
I loove how the bathroom smells when my husband sprays this. But on skin I’m like “meh nice”. And then for the cost..is it worth that reaction.
Oakcha perfume has the best dup's I've ever tried without Quality sacrifice. I got SWEVEN it is a BR 540 to a tea. 39.00$ check for all listings including Aventus
Our Wood etc.
Afnan supremacy not only intense is a brutally good copy of aventus, longer lasting in way more projection. Also 40€
Never had older batches. A girl I was dealing with earlier this year bought me a bottle from creed boutique. No performance whatsoever. Cdnim edp from armaf is so close in smell, a fraction of the price and performs 200% (at least) better. Sure, the creed is smoother and WAY more natural in the opening, but it's a skin scent in about 1 hour.
I wondering and I contact the seller which I suspect he sold me unauthentic products 😂
Seriously only last me for two hours in summer days and only three hours in gym room
Never expect it’s very light performance
I would love to get ahold of a 2010 batch, yellow color juice, smokey batch 🤞👏
I got it and it is a bit too much, I didn't like it when I smelled it but I wore it anyways and actually have gotten compliments from it!
The only fragrance i have that was worth the price! And i have paid close to the same amount for Amouage and others! Aventus is the only one!
That jacket 🔥🔥🔥
I really like your jacket, where did you get it?
I always find it funny when people say how popular aventus is in the real world. I've never in my life ever smelled it on anyone in the real world. Nor has anyone I've ever met even knows what Creed is. And I live in a very populated city on the east coast. Maybe in Europe things are different but trust me it's not out in the wild like everyone talks about. That is something everyone likes to say to give strikes against it
That's what they say about a lot of colognes. Eros, sauvage, ext. I know no one that have them
@@oscarsantos3163 well sauvage on the other hand I smell everywhere. Literally on a daily basis.

I smelled Aventus Creed in the those, and wow. It's amazing!! But so expensive :(
Aventus is a great fragrance, but I feel like it doesn't say much. Similar to Oud Wood by Tom Ford it's a very basic inoffensive fragrance a lot of people have it. One thing that I would critique it on is the ability to transport you with the smell. For many of me perfums I have a feeling when I smell them. Maybe it's transports me to a lake side or a beach, a room filled with incense, roses, and sweets for a romantic evening. Maybe it will give me a certain feeling, masculine with a mysterious yet sexy aura (Tobacco Oud), more feminine and light. Point is that I don't get that from this fragrance. It's good but it doesn't have much of a persona. (Lmao maybe it's the d-bag at the club). That's just my 2 cents.
I get severe headaches if I wear most fragrances. The doctor told me it has something to do with my brain's not being able to process "unnatural" scents. Off all the perfumes I have tried over the years, Aventus is the only one that does not give me a headache. To me that suggests it's made from more natural and higher quality ingredients.
Interesting, I definitely picked up on it. I wonder how do you feel about the change that was made this year now that they synthesized it to make it last longer because of the ban of some natural material which affects the lasting power
The should release an extrait de parfum version of aventus for those that want the beast mode version back.
Just got a 22 batch ordered hoping it's good.
This guy's gooood!!!
I just discovered this cologne. I get sooo many complements from women. One woman described it as "panty droppers." She flirts & insinuates she wants go out. I'll def. keep this in stock when I'm on the hunt.
Aventus is kindof like Sauvage or BDC for me. It's like a dumb reach. When I take pause to decide what I would like to wear for an occasion, I pretty much never choose it.
Is there a reason that Aventus have so much variation between batches than any other fragrance? I remember getting this right when it came out, it was amazing. Pineapple was very small part of the perfume. It was deep dark and smoky and easily last two days.. and the next bottle I bought all the smkoiness was gone and it was a bright pineapple fragrance.. and this was over 10 years ago...I can't imagine what they have done to it now!
cologne changes are due to availability of ingredients, laws, cost production and/or public demand.
@@charlesben9104 not as much as Aventus...I've bought perfumes 10 years later.. they still smell the same.. maybe not have the same performance but smell doesn't change. Aventus changes from day to day
Wearing a sample of this today. 4-5sprays at 8am. Smells great. Was pretty much a skin scent by 1pm. It's about $400 in Australia... it's nice, I really like this... but 5 hours is not worth that price.
Today is June the 7th 2022, this morning I put on creed around 7:30 in the morning it is now 4:30 and I still got a compliment... Stop being stingy with the sprays, go six good sprays instead of three to the body including clothes.
I have been experimenting with samples of the real Aventus and also several acclaimed clones and copies. After much testing I can give my conclusion as follows. Nothing (other that Aventus) has the beautiful opening it just wows you - it's an incredible complex chorus of notes, I love it. However this incredible phase lasts less than an hour. And within 4 hours don't expect to smell very much of it at all. The performance is UTTERLY APPALLING. On this basis the costs does not make it worth buying the real thing. Better off compromising slightly with a clone that will give you a far better performance.
It doesn't smell great super up close, but around people or walking by people, to say it's a compliment getter is an understatement. Men, woman....everyone seems liked they had to compliment on it. HAVE to compliment on it. I can't count the times woman were like "i don't what that is, but it's the best I've ever smelled." and go on and on and on about how great it is.
What size bottle is that
I have only a 50ml decant at the moment but I think at a discount price of around $275 it is probably worth it. I’m hoping to buy a 2022 or 2021 bottle and possibly it will get better over time
275$ for 50 ML Bottle? Jesus what a rip off, i have paid around 150 Euros for 50 ML, but with a discount price, it usually costs around 200 Euros in almost every store.
"Pro #3 Replicated but never duplicated"
Got that right. Even Aventus can't duplicated itself, hence all these batch variations 😂
Lol
@@BaldassarreFragrance okok okej kojojbjojojbbobobo
I totally agree with you 😆😆😆
This is a classic mens fragrance maybe over hyped by some and very batch dependant for fruity/smokey mix and strength.
Think its overpriced now with lots of much cheaper good clones available Milton Lloyd Victor no 9 being a favourite for £12
Please review Dior Sauvage Elixir
Unless I will the lottery I will never spend $400 on a bottle of cologne. My limit is about half that. Especially when in some street battles the ladies preferred Chrome 3 to 1 over Aventus. I do however have like three inspired by Aventus fragrances in my collection and that is good enough for me.
Not the right channel for this question but..... what watch is that, it looks so cool??
It’s the Longines heritage classic sector. One of my favorites.
Go pineapple vintage. Look at their chart go off what you think you will like.
I’m considering purchasing Git, would love to hear your opinion on it.
One of my favorites from the house. Absolute classic. I would wear that over aventus personally.
Great scent and performance at least when I tried it years ago. one of my favs from the house. original santal is a sleeper and is also one of my favorites but easy to get nose blind to it. I get compliments way after I stop smelling it. One of my top complimented fragrances ever
I blindly preordered Creed Aventus back in 2010 and is the only fragrance I have always had a bottle of in my collection, currently on my 5th bottle (I think). I have the earlier batch of Armaf’s CDNIM. They smell very similar in the dry down but the opening of CDNIM is just bad and it stays with me for hours. Of all the 200+ fragrances I have owned in the last 12 years it Aventus is by far my most complimented. I have a dilemma now that I’m running out of the last bottle and I don’t know if to buy another bottle. I’ve tried ALL the clones and none of them are able to replicate the feeling Aventus gives. I have spent over 300 bucks on different clones which I probably should have just spent on Aventus.
Have you tried parfums vintage emperor extrait? It's very much a creed Aventus copy. Buy a decant and check it out if you haven't yet.
I've tried Aventus at a department store, and have a 1ml sample at home. It doesn't wow me or turn me off. I coincidentally used Montblanc Explorer as my 'go to' every day fragrance prior to trying that, and I prefer it - doubly so considering the price point. Really love Silver Mountain Water though, which I've also tried
Hey teddy. I’ve pretty much committed to never buying any modern creed fragrance because of their absurd prices. When you can buy stuff from Pdm or Nishane at comparable prices or less, and get drastically better value for money
Thanks for watching! Totally understand that. As mentioned in the video, there is a lot of ways to scratch the itch from creed from other brands. Really enjoy Nishane. They are quickly rising in the ranks for me. Have been wearing fan your flames a lot in the past month.
@@BaldassarreFragrance I think the fragrance you are referring to is “Fan your flames?” If so, I have also heard good things about it. Currently the only bottle I own is Ani, which is less boozy like fan your flames and more vanillic, I can say that there is the slightest reminder of cedrat boise in the opening, but without that obnoxious leather that I personally don’t care for.
@@Devppp whoops, weird auto correct there. Yes, fan your flames! Not typically a coconut fan but it pairs well with the tobacco note. Have more to try from them but agreed on your mention.
I disagree that you get better value from Nishane. I've tried 4 from that house, including Hacivat, and have disliked all four. It's a matter of opinion, but I just wanted to provide another opinion.
I never thought teddy was a fragrance enthusiast as well lol
Was once the greatest fragrance of all time at least before any reformulation.
Agree. My 2012 bottle was perfect. My 2022 version is good but fades pretty soon after application whereas the older version lasted much longer.
Just saw it on sale at Costco. Niche and Costco are 2 words that shouldn’t go together.
Might be good but just so common.
Got my 100ml F000558 metal cap batch this year for $220. You can find them at discounters guys. Never pay retail for creed or any niche.
How's the smell?
Someone is selling me a real aventus creed fully sealed for $100 should I buy it?
Okeeee I’m by no means an Aventus lover or even much of a liker for that matter but I semi respect it. Please do not believe that the batch variations don’t change they do with (MOST) fragrances and trust me Aventus is one of the worst with consistency. You notice how he said he had a new batch… they don’t last long but they’re fruity and quite pleasant, some of the older batches smell rather rough n Smoky and had outrageous longevity and projection u can take that 450 to the bank .
Please make a video on armaf club de nuit intense man please
Just get the $90 travel size and use for special occasions/going out, will last you 8-12 months
If only I knew how it smelled
Just gets complements !!
I have cdnim edp & it smells almost the same
Purchased Creed Aventus from Creed Boutique and honestly, I have my doubts of its authenticity. 2 - 3 hours later and no smell what so ever... very disapointed on the longevity.
I doubt very seriously that it's a fake if you bought it directly from the Creed Boutique. I searched out the earliest video review of Creed Aventus I could find, and found a 2011 RUclips video review of it. The reviewer - I forgot his name, and IIRC he has since passed away - said he really liked the scent profile but it did not perform on his skin. A few months later this reviewer was posting that it was performing better for some reason. I've noticed that with Virgin Island Water. "Sneaky longevity". I've read reports that the performance of some of these scents seem to improve with age. I don't know the truth, but it seems that that Creeds typically light scent profiles and heavier use of naturals works against really great performance. One of their "heaviest" fragrances, Bois du Portugal (my favorite Creed), seems to last all day on me.
Update: here is that 2011 video review of Creed Aventus. Notice some years later he replied in the comments section that Aventus really makes him anosmic to it, but that it is still projecting like crazy.

@@JT-rx1eo thank you for the info... however, in my eyes, Aventus lacks performance with these newer batch variants and not worth the $500 per 100ml bottle anymore. It's is really unfortunate because I really love scent 😔.
Have a blessed one!
@@nubeblanca570 And no one pays $500. You'll find them less at the online discounters, which are guaranteed authentic. I got my 100ml bottle for $343. Still too high, but less. Of course ALL expensive fragrances are too expensive, and in a sense "not worth it". But that is Lux economics. High prices create and reinforce exclusivity. Exclusivity is a component to associations to luxury. I don't mean to lecture, but it's just the way it is. I do one of the following:
1. Buy the bottle and only use it for special occasions (anniversaries, marriages, birthdays, etc.), using a good clone for more everyday mundane occasions.
2. Buy decants and only wear for special occasions, wearing a good clone for everyday-person kind of occassions.

I don’t know about the creed I bought my first bottle I even made sure it was original but for some reason it dosent seem to smell that strong or last like the say it should and to be honest because of these reasons I kind of regret buying it🤷🏻♂️
The bottles after 2019 basically have no lasting power. Seems like they fix it this year. You should replace it with an 2019 or older one, or one from this year with the metal cap
I think it’s now seriously reformulated and is overpriced a lot
I was hoping it smelled good I got some today smh I can’t small it 400 in the trash
