Nice to see Houston’s light rail system getting some love. The red line is actually a very good light rail line. If it had a dedicated right away it would be really great.
These fountains now are so wimpy. They used to spray water over the trains as they passed over the pools. In effect, cooling the air AND washing the trains.
Thank you fór the videotakes, Věry interesant building element And architektura point. Od IT have good techničák systém fór thé Waters quantity controlling, then Is not problem fór electric streetcars.
Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth should have built heavy rail metro subways in the 70s and 80s instead of their light rail and too many freeways. The water feature is really cool though.
Expansion of the light rail system in Houston is probably a better option than a subway system due to Houston being prone to being hit with hurricanes but Dallas would do nicely with a subway system I’m pretty sure they’re already on it as the above comment mentions
It looks amazing because it is in Texas. If this was located in New York City, the fancy fountains would be off/broken and the water would be filthy and full of trash. And maybe a few homeless bathing in it.
It might look nice but Houston’s tiny tram system is not quality transport lmao you probably couldn’t have picked a worse system in the US to give that title to
@@shanewalters2565 I quite agree with you my fellow namesake, I don't see anything wrong with Houston's streetcar system, it's beautiful in many different ways and it's especially reliable, in fact, according to a study, a lot of people said that this does better than Dallas's system despite the difference in track mileage, I'm in no way against Dallas's system as they're also quite reliable too, but Houston seems to be performing much better. I mean come on, it's also not everyday that you get the chance to see a streetcar glide over a river in the muddle of the tracks, that right there is quality transportation
@@shanewalters2565 I most certainly quite agree with you here my fellow namesake, I don't see anything wrong with Houston's streetcar system, it's beautiful in many different ways and it's especially reliable, in fact, according to a study, a lot of people said that this does better than Dallas's system despite the difference in track mileage, I'm in no way against Dallas's system as they're also quite reliable too, but Houston seems to be performing much better. @@shanewalters4171 The problem with Houston's network is that majority of the trackage is street running. Just like Phoenix's system and Twin Cities' Green Line, it's pretty pointless to build a light rail system that has to stop at traffic signals throughout the majority of the routes. Sure there are some proper grade crossings but that doesn't outweigh the amount of controlled intersections on the Houston network.
Thanks!
Thank you Chris Online for the support! Houston was a layover so did not have a chance to see much.
@@timosha21 bummer, hopefully next time.
It’s crazy that I’ve never seen this before. Thanks for sharing! Also, these trains have possibly the best sounding fake horns, in my opinion.
Excellent video clip Timosha. Thank you so much for your efforts and sharing the results with us. Take care and keep well and safe.

A pleasant respite from the miles and miles of concrete that exists in Houston.
And neat looking trams!!!😀😀♥️♥️
Beautiful!! Thanks Tim for sharing😀😀😀
I simply lllove it! ❤️ Thank you for the video!
Nice, glad you're doing Houston!
Nice tram👍
Very cool transport i never seen this
Keep it up with the good videos 👍
Beautiful
Very nice...love it..
Very pleasant to watch :)
If you have time, you should check out Houston's BRT silver line.
Ew, BRT
Damn, this is so cool. Really creative
How do you get around so much and know exactly how to capture these great transit systems.
You think you can do more of the Houston light rail red line more like this one. Like on the station platform and riding?
Stay tuned for future videos... ;)
Great video!
Thanks!
I love Houston
Houston needs a Heavy-rail!!!
Very nice 👍👍👍
great video as always

Yeah that might the the coolest tram line in the whole of US
Thats one way to keep people from wading in the fountain… Bang!
From the bottom of my heart I like the video🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Wow, can't believe I just now found out about this. Are there any other examples of tram tracks going over a water feature like that? I can't find any
Well that’s how you solve people crossing the tracks illegally as well.
Yup, put in water traps and maybe spread a rumor there are gators in it
Looks nice But... what if a tram breaks down in between two stops??
Tow it

Dallas is already on it though.
Dallas is the only city in Texas with a Subway.

If cars try to trespass that, they're sure to get a better punishment than trespassing tunnels.
If you don't show us more videos of you riding this Tram, the terrorists win!

Nice but seems a bit noisy.

This is NOT quality transport! Houston is the 4th largest city in the United States yet they only have a 22 mile long light rail system.
