I agree with you. It was once proposed by the Blue line (University line). Last year, voters approved the METRONext referendum, instead of a light rail line to Uptown, it is going to be a bus rapid transit line.
Some tickets vending machine sells the METRO Q Fare Card (or smart card). However, it is best to purchase the smart card online at the METRO RideStore (www.metroridestore.org/product-p/mq-001.htm). On that site, you can put an amount for your card and METRO will deliver the card to you. Also, there are other options to obtain the card (bit.ly/3Cyo7Po). Or you can purchase the eticket on their Q Mobile Ticketing App: www.ridemetro.org/riding-metro/apps/q-mobile-ticketing-app.
Howdy. The ticket cost $1.25. You can purchase the ticket on the ticket vending machines on the rail platform or download METRO's official app Q Mobile Ticketing (www.ridemetro.org/Pages/MobileTicketing.aspx).
@@HOUExplorer thats actually not too bad, I didn't get a chance to ride it but Im a fan of good public transportation. My city has a light rail a small one though that is free but dinky.
I haven't been on the metro train since before the pandemic. They were nasty, always full of trash, dirt, debris, and one time I even found vomit on a bus! Also, they allow homeless people to sleep and trash the train/bus along with drug addicts yelling at the driver of the bus. Its just not safe and I haven't been on anything metro related since.
Whenever I see videos of Houston METRORail, the passengers look like normal, well-behaved people. When I ride the METRORail in Houston, the passengers are reflective of much of the local population. Unkempt looking, homeless and downtrodden looking people, I’ve seen PitBulls and their raggedy owners hop on these trains, people begging for money, it’s really a turnoff. So I’m wondering at times are some of these videos staged. That is passengers in the videos. The ones in the video just look clean cut, no matter what video I watch. Probably not, but it does make one wonder.

Ahhhhhh yesssssss (only if METRO never grinded the tracks)
I know the brand to the new door buttons on the H1 trains its called Captron
It sounds that the grinded tracks are wearing off (little-by-little).

We have some of these car types here in Portland Oregon for trimet max light rail system.
Indeed! Hopefully one day I would ride the TriMet MAX Rail soon :)
You should because I have rode on them many times over the years. It's a really great system
Your videos are always so high quality. What do you use to make your maps that you show?
Thank you. I use Affinity Photo (for the graphic design) and Final Cut Pro for the video editing.
I love riding the stay in your lane train
How can I buy a smart card and recharge to ride the light rail in Hou.

What exactly does H1 etc.... Mean? And damn the avanto sounds like it's being murdered
H1, H2, H3, and H4 are short names for the rail car series. Another example, Atlanta MARTA name their rail car series CQ310, CQ311, CQ400, and etc.
