If you pay in cash ($1.25), you have one way ride. So $1.25 per ride if you pay cash. But if you use the METRO Fare Q Card or Q Mobile Ticketing App, you'll get three hours to transfer to other buses or rail lines. For more information, checkout Houston METRO's Fare page: www.ridemetro.org/fares
Due to low ridership. If there is a special event, METRO will run two cars on the Green and Purple Lines. While Red Line, the highest boardings, uses two cars.
@@HOUExplorer will they ever run three car trains in the future? Cause when I saw the green line pull in there was lots of more platform space for maybe another car?
Based on Houston METRORail platform, three rail cars is not feasible because it will block the street intersection. In order for METRO to have three rail cars, the rail stations must be above or underground...which there is no plan at the moment.

Please explain the fair system. 1.25$ for unlimited number of ride (metro+bus) for a day? or 1.25$ for each time I ride a metro/bus?
