Mid-capper here, been playing the 90 gram version all season and absolutely love them. I don't like to swing my wedge shafts particularly hard, I just want smooth contact to get my desired yardages. I paired these shafts with forged Edison 2.0 wedge heads and they are a match made in heaven. By the end of the season I was sticking so many greens from a 110 yards and in, definitely playing below my handicap in terms of results. I love the kick point and the feel it generates gives me a a tonne of confidence in my swing tempo. I will never ever go back to steel again. While the shafts are pricey so is everything that's good in golf. However, when my wedge grooves wear out, I will happily re-use this shaft and put a fresh head on it. One reason I'm digging the lighter shaft weight is because it just tells me my brain that I can swing easy and I don't feel the temptation to power a typical heavy steel shaft that's usually around 130 grams. With my 50 degree on a breezy 3/4 swing, I easily get the 110 yards I want from this shaft (and it blends well with my KBS tour 90 iron shafts). I'm sure I could hit my 50* further with this shaft as it feels like it will stay stable, but I would just club down to my set PW outside 110 and do a partial shot. Where these BGT shafts really shine is in feel and tempo for partial wedge swings and chips. They destroy steel wedge shafts in this area, which just feel clunky by comparison. Great review, thanks from Canada!
Indeed. Would love to see it compared to the Axiom and to my current gamers the ACCRA iS8. Try to include a head to head for the lightest version 90 gram shaft against its competitors as well. Cheers!
You're in luck on the Axiom front ...I don't have a 90!! Will see if I can source ...I'm also £4k short of getting Accra in the shop 😇 I got approved but havnt had the available cash to get the first batch of stock and demo kit! ruclips.net/video/NEMhfcn16aQ/видео.html
Yet to be fully determined ...I'd say it's a very "easy" shaft to use ...There's a 115g and a 130g ...I'll see if I can rope in a higher handicapper to have a go!
Axiom video us Boss. Could you talk about if the BGT feels significantly heavier compared to the Axiom? Also if possible give it a whack in a longer iron? Bryson plays wedge flex in all his irons if I'm not mistaken. Would be interesting to see the results!
I have the 90 gram prior version of the BGT wedge shafts with the Edison heads as well. Do you know if there is a material difference in performance between the two BGT shaft versions?
Not that I've heard of material wise ...a few reports from comments saying the 90 and the 130 are the best feeling versions of the shaft ..I've not hit a 90!

@jbweezer Awesome!!! And great feedback 👍....Yeah I bet they feel delightful with the Edison heads 😍 those things rock!
They sure do!!!
I love my axiom shaft I put in my 2i driving iron. I can hit it anywhere in the face and it has a tight dispersion
Niiiiice ....Mine Too!!

I would love to try those shafts. Do a comparison between those two shafts please.
@@jonathanstephens3839 will wprk ot in this week ...Wedge shafts often get neglected!
Sooooo.........is the Axiom/REDZNE deathmatch video up yet?
Not yet ...i've got a few videos in the pipeline to edit ...On it's way :)
Would like to see the difference compared to axiom. Thanks for the video 👍🏽
@josephdavis8672 Nice! A few requests already! I'll have to move it up on my ideas whiteboard haha
Besides the disposable income requirement, what about player ability? Does it suit every handicap or do you recommend it for specific players?

Be keen to see height deviation between this and say, a normal steel stiff shaft for you
@@Darts_Matt Good point 👉 I'll wprk it in this week 🙃

Hmmmm I didn't know that about his shafts!! Although if he's using "one length", makes sense to have the same shafts through the lot 🤔

Just a tad worried about the 2-piece construction. I remember some of my fitter friends had clients who snapped the previous Green version.
Ah interesting ...I never came across those!! I may have to stress test one 😏
Comparison between that and axiom would be interesting
@rogerjackson3406 On it ..might do a bit of a mixture 🙃
axiom redzone
Coming soon :)
This is going to get expensive 😂😂😂😂
Hahahah My Bad :P
Yeah do it😂
In the ol' pipeline :)
