Just ordered two for my bedroom plants including my Monstera D., Big Bertha, that I'm trying to save from root rot. I like the look of the light, but too complicated for me. I prefer something mobile. For me it's easier to move the lights than the plants. The older I get the simpler I try to make things. Love your videos and have learned a lot from them!
you can hang it with any type of swag hook or bracket though so its not an overly big job. I still prefer a solid lamp with a grow bulb but for these big plants going up with light seems to be the only option unless windows are in abundance.
I’ve been using the aspect light for my mature monstera and giant bird of paradise (at 8’, a ceiling mount was really the only option). The Soltech vita grow light bulbs are also great - I have North facing windows, which don’t really cut it for my tropical plants. I’ve had the vita bulbs for over a year, and my plants are thriving. I love that I can install them in floor lamps and direct the light to where it’s needed without drawing attention to that fact it’s a grow light.
I talk to my plants too!! I basically yell at them and tell them to not be a fuck up. It's working well so far, but some might need therapy later down the line.
I love my soltech solutions grow lights! I have 2 large pendant lights and anything under them or by them thrive. Totally worth the cost, I'll be getting one more large pendent light. (Not a fan of track lighting)
Glad you got them. I don't have specific experience with that plant and lights but I suggest the same philosophy of starting out short and slowly increasing the length of time.
I have to admit we mounted a commercial Revolution light in our livingroom from the cathedral ceiling for all the plants that come in for winter around 40 of them including bananas citrus, sugar cane cuttings, dwarf tamarillo trees, aji charapita peppers, ginger, ornamental figs, jades and more lol. The Monstera when it was outside was under dappled shade so it went to the dining room where it's gets indirect fairly bright light along with the corn cane plant. So after all that I am a little concerned it might not be getting ideal light...maybe this light might work for some supplemental light in the dining room. Even though we have skylights this is pennsylvania the land where the skies can be cloudy all day....as always thanks for the video....I am loving this channel. I grow indoor plants and orchids and there is much to learn!!! I have a large garden as well so balancing the care for everyone gets challenging
@@KillThisPlant I justcrecently found your channel. Excellent info deilvered with humor and a willingness to try new things to see if they work. Excellent! So Thank you!!!!
My favorite $20 bulb matches and even beats this. They came up with simple but amazing engineering solutions for the heat issues that ruin LED and prevent manufacturers from pushing them at higher percentages of their capabilities
I just got an Aspect large…and it puts out an amazing amount of light, a lot more than I thought it would. Certainly enough to maintain a larger sized plant. I have it over a table with approx 10 medium and small size plants. I had to raise the light a little higher because it was almost too bright. I have some lower light plants around the perimeter of the table, where it isn’t as bright. Low light plants would do great on the floor around the table. Been a few weeks and I’m seeing amazing growth spurts in almost all the plants. Sorry I didn’t buy this grow light sooner!
I know this is sponsored but realistically you can just buy a pendant fixture and hardware from ikea and a bulb with identical specs for less than 1/4 of the price. With the added benefit of being able to swap out the bulb if your situation changes
Great info, I have fiddle leaf figs. If I use the overhead light the bottom leaves won’t get enough light since the leaves are very large. Any suggestions to give the bottom leaves light also?
Is the FLF going to be exclusively under grow lights with no natural light? The most important would be the upper foliage getting light but you could also look into their Highland Track light so you could adjust multiple lights on a downward angle to hit lower foliage and upper foliage separately.
A croton video might be interesting, I noticed yours look great. My mum has one called mrs iceton and I've been trying to move it around the house in less-than-ideal spots cause I have no room where I grow my plants. it pushes out little green leaves that turn entirely yellow but continue to grow to full size, im not sure if this is reversion or 100% variegation since it grew these leaves while it was outside on a patio shaded from all but a few hours of direct sun which is where it is right now. it hasnt produced any of its pink or patterned colorastion since it was brought home but tbh I havent really done my part to know anything about it or what it likes.
Why would you use a overhanging light compared to something at an angle or right in front of Monstera? The leaves tend to point upwards compared to in the front with a setup you have?
I have a similar situation with my monstera, its now reached the ceiling and still throwing out leaves. I have a mars hydro led lamp hanging sideways a few feet away .
I've been using that same Soltech lamp for 2+ years now over my monstera. A few months ago I had a leaf flip completely over trying to get more sun. I recently realized the plant wasn't oriented the correct way so that may have been the issue, but have you noticed any leaves flipping? I thought that maybe the directly overhead light was the issue and was considering moving to a track light so the leaves don't flip.
I have a question my rooms pretty small I’m trying to start my plant collection I’ve just recently added a Monstera anyways it’s underneath a grow I get low humidity in my room like terrible should I start misting my Monstera I heard it could help with the humidity problem. Thoughts?🙏
Misting does not help with humidity. It can increase the likelihood of your plant getting a fungal infection. Don't worry about humidity. Or get a humidifier.
Good evening- I live in Boston and I don't get much light because of a huge tree during summer but I do get good sunlight during afternoon in winter. I've had my monstera for a year and it has grown 2 leaves but not thriving. I changed it's location where he will get inderect/direct sunlight for 3 hours and I will have the grow light for 6 hours. Will that be enough to thrive and get more penetration in it's leaves?
we need an update! :D I installed mine a week ago and all the leafs positinoed horisontally, lol. not exactly a view one would appreciate from monstera tho. So I guess, a spot light from a side would be a much much better solution for this guy. However.. the lights really do wonders. all my stems activated new leafs at the same time, after a month of doing nothing in a shady room. Defo getting more of these lamps
Glad it's working. Yes unfortunately for a monstera the leaves do face wherever the light is. But we'd rather a big plant at a weird viewing angle than one with shrinking leaves. 😅
What is the wattage? Im using a 35 watt sansi grow light. My monstera leaves Re pointing up. Its not burning but its not producing barely any fenestrations. The lights are on 8 to 10 hrs.
40W large, 20W small. It's not necessarily the wattage. could be a lot of other factors, including time the light is on, or distance to the grow light.
Thanks for the video. Very useful. Exactly what I was looking for. I want to get the grow light but I have a question. I am hoping you can help me. I just bought a Monstera Albo cutting. Very young and small root. i want to buy a growth light to ensure it survive. I see that there is two size of fixture. Small (20watts) and large (40watt). How to know which one to buy? Does it make a difference on potential sunburn? Also at distance do you put the hanging to be optimal? Many thanks!!
They have a different power output. This will change the recommended distance to the plant. They have more details about recommended distance on their website soltech.com/en-ca/pages/aspect-grow-guide
Hey Lee! I have a question about grow lights. Is it better to buy a grow light that uses full spectrum or blue/red (so a purple color) or are white grow lights usually better? Googling this seems to give mixed results and I want to ensure I buy a light that fits the needs of my Monstera best. Thanks!
If you are buying lights for general use around your home the colour is the most important. Purple or coloured lights are often harsh on your eyes so if you're using that in your immediate living space I would avoid them. Unless you're growing at an industrial level I would just get full spectrum.
@@KillThisPlant Ahhh alright, thanks a lot for the videos and advice. Does it need to be a grow light specifically or would a normal LED suffice too? And should it have a certain brightness?
@@MisterDYT any led works but all bulbs are not created equal. Depending on its strength and quality you'll need to move the plant closer to the source.
Oh man! Wish I saw this yesterday as I just bought a light. Can you post a pic of how she staked her plant? I have a similar size and have NO idea what to do with it. I just got it and it is so thick that it is hard for me to negotiate. Haha. I would *really* appreciate it. Great video - thank you.
Today I have done some measurements with a lux meter. I want to plant a Monstera Albo top cutting on a South West window (Netherlands) and almost 3 to 4 meters away from my window. The Monstera will get 1000 lux in the morning, and from 12:00 to 14:00 it will get around 2500lux this will increase to 12.000 lux in one hour due to the azimuth of the sun and the location of my house. The 14.000 lux will decrease to 600 lux until sunset that is around 17:00 in the beginning of November. I was thinking about getting a grow light to increase the number of light hours. Although I've done some measurements that showed me that almost no light will give enough lux, other than commercial grow lights of a minimum of 600watt. You'll see that the amount of lux is as advertised when you place the lux meter near the bulb, but it will be drastically less when you do the measurements at the top of your plant. Almost 80% less lux to be honest. So I'll stick with just the amount of light that comes through my window for esthetic reasons. It will get full exposure during the spring and summer with around 17.000 lux, the top cutting will be trained during the autumn and winter. The monstera needs a minimum of 2000 lux to stay happy, and more than 4000 lux for growth (like in nature).
@@Badg0r I went ahead and took a reading for you. At about 3 feet away the light reads 20,000lux (2000fc). This bulb specifically is 40watts. After talking with other Europeans in my discord I'm still confused about some regulations like how lights need to display how many lumens/lux the light produces. It's led to a lot more confusion than clarity. Anyway I hope my reading helped. I own a grow light that is 100watts and they literally came with sunglasses because the light is extremely harsh and cause eye strain after a few minutes of being in the same room (so 600w would be absurd).
Wow 😮 those leaves 😍 I finally got a grow light for my young monstera, do you recommend having the grow light on during the night? Or just supplement daytime sun with it? Thanks!!
I find that grow lights hurt my eyes. Any suggestions. I really don't have much window light but I had to put my monstera on my kitchen counter. I'm so upset My cat decided to jump on the counter and mangle my new leaf. Should I cut the leaf off? My ceiling light is a LED light around 15 inches round but I know it needs more light.
And to all the animal lovers including myself, I know this plant is toxic but my kitty is not showing negatives signs. He just did a taste test of inserting his teeth, my kitty did not swallow it. I'm put up a barrier now so the kitty can't get behind the plant until I can find another room. I actually have a separate plant vroom but no space for the big girl. I need grow lights I believe.
Colour temperature matters! If you're doing the blue-purple lights they will create eye strain. Otherwise lights that run bright white are also quite harsh. That's most other brands. Soltech at 3000K are not harsh and mimic the typical light bulbs you likely already use in your home.
What are your thoughts on making your own grow lights? Since I live in a bogland, majority of these products are out of my financial and shipping reach. But I remember reading somewhere that the growlights could be just regular bulbs of specific wattage.
Get whatever is in your price range. For some people light intensity per dollar is the only thing that matters. LEDs or florescent bulbs can be a good option.
I have a pretty big north east facing window. Its a big french window, and theere is a ceiling window above the french window of the same size as the french window. But is it a lot of light when its north east oriented? I live in northern hemisphere.
If you use their growing guide the recommended distance is 20W: 24” - 48” 40W: 48” - 60”. I would probably make my decision based on -will the light look good positioned here -is it in the right range to help my plant If your plant is 1 foot tall and placed on the ground, you'd have to hang the 20W light fairly low and it might look a bit strange hanging so far down.
GE makes full spectrum grow lights for very cheap. you could buy this 40 watt grow light at 200+ with discount or you can buy a 10$ hanging light fixture, a 30$ GE full spectrum 32 watt bulb, and a 10$ kasa smart plug and have some thing just as effective for 50$.
I spent at least a week sharing DIY options and it was extremely challenging finding a light fixture with a braided cable (that didn't need to be wired into the ceiling) that my partner even remotely liked the look of. And then as I mentioned the light temperature was an issue too.
When I use "You", I'm not talking directly to you, I'm talking to the reader which is anyone reading through the comments. Like I said "you could buy this 40 watt grow light at 200+" but why would I say that to you when the company reached out to you and sent you the light. My comment is mostly for people who want to provide their monstera with supplemental lighting but don't have a spare 250$.
@@chewysfish6967 100% can't imagine spending $200 for a grow light!! I just don't have that kind of disposable income. I buy Sansi grow lights...much more affordable and the company has a great reputation and helped me figure out exactly what set up I needed (thru email).
Those lights won't work on monstera's since they need a minimum of 2000 lux and more than 4000 for growth, ideally 7000 lux on all the leafs. This can only be done with big grow lights of a minimum of 600 watts. Especially for the lower leafs.
I see no problem with having a beautiful monstera like that on the couch. I'm ordering this light, my question is would one work on more plants if they're close? I'm in Maine and it's about to be winter with basically such a reduction of light I'm getting ready this winter!!
Yes, you can have multiple plants under the light. Putting the lamp closer would also result in the plants receiving more light. Just make sure that your plants are in the appropriate range and the cone of light is able to reach all the plants.
great question. If you go way way back to the first video I ever posted. this plant is a cutting from the two smallest leaves on that plant. I think those original leaves might have been 6" or 7"
I’ve discovered if the plant is reaching for the light, including the leaves turning towards the light, it means the lighting isn’t strong enough. At least in my experiences
I've also heard that. But consider, all leaves are going to take the shortest distance to face towards their light source. A better indicator might be, etiolated petioles and shrinking leaf size. This plants leaves have always turned and flipped towards the window. Now that the most powerful light source is above it, the leaves will face that direction to maximize surface area.
It doesn't mean the lighting isn’t strong enough, it just means the angle is wrong. The leaf tries to fix that so light can hit as much of its surface as possible. I'm sure you noticed the leaves facing the windows barely move.
@@mechelleburk5680 I keep mine in south facing windows and most of the day they get direct sunlight (filtered through double-pane windows). My plants do the exact opposite, they will sometimes curle their leaves to minimize the surface area. It's possible plants will do what you're saying in north-east-west facing windows where sunlight is not as intense.
@@Danko_HS yes. Exactly. My whole point was, that when my leaves point up towards a light and eventually reach for it, it does the exact same thing in a window with less light. Any plant I put in front of my southern window flourishes all fall and winter. Any other window they look sad. For a plant that size in the video, I have to use around 4 grow lights because I don’t buy expensive ones. I’ve been researching more about grow lights. I’ve been looking at lumens, Kelvin, lm all that stuff. Soul tech or however you spell it doesn’t really make that great of grow lights. They are more for looks than actual plant growth unless they are practically sitting on top of the plant. Think about it this way. When you put plants outside, do the leaves point up towards the sun? No. The sun is strong enough. They do at times turn around to the direction of the sun if not getting sun equally through out the day. Example- my elephant ears will turn towards the west if that’s the only sun they get. When I moved them where they get morning sun, a period of shade and then afternoon sun they do not turn. Same with my monstera.
I'm glad I came across your channel because I've been thinking of having some of my plants move indoors, or on my screened porch, instead of outside due to the killer summer heat waves... Both alternatives would require more light than what would be available... I have a lot to learn, so this is a great incentive and learning experience to start.
Hello, I think I may have sunburn on one of my Monstera leaves more so on the tips. Do I need to cut that entire leaf off or can I trim the sun burn parts or should I just leave it. I am new to monsteras and searching for a bit of advice. Thank you if you happen to see this 🙂
Leave it. If it's completely brown you can cut it near the edge of the brown but if you start cutting into the green the edges may just brown up again. I don't recommend messing with it. It'll recover and if the leaf has green it's still helping.
I don't have any experience with roses indoors. I can imagine they would need massive amounts of light. Something more industrial with higher output might be better suited. Unfortunately that might mean getting something that looks much worse in your home.
Hi Lee! Can i mixed my fertilizers for my monstera? I have an organic spray fertilizer that helps for soil revitaliser, prevent pest and cure viruses and diseases. Another is a liquid plant booster. Need your advise :)
@@ishichan1864 you could also set it for a few hours in the am and pm (eg. 4am-11am, then 6pm-midnight). Soltech light has a heatsink and is very good at dissipating heat. I don't think you have to worry about overheating.
ruclips.net/video/tPeffsP_K5c/видео.html I use some combination of this mix depending on what I have around my home. Keep in mind, monstera can grow in the poorest "indoor potting mix" blend, but this generally does put you at a higher risk of root rot because they hold onto a lot of water.
Your channel is amazing! Thank you so much for the relevant insights. One question about the light, however. How much energy does this light on average cost per month/year? Is there any information on this? :D
Thanks for watching! Energy costs would depend on your specific location, and if you have tiered pricing but on average it'll probably be around $1-$1.75 a month for 1 large 40w bulb. You can check out an energy consumption calculator and put in your specific locations cost for electricity in kwh (kilowatt hours).
hey i love your videos, you showed other lights with a arm to move, are they good? how do you use them? i have the same but i dont know if they make any difference
First of all I LOOOOOOOVE your videos! Do you have any suggestions on grow light bulbs that we can already add to lamps we own or does this company just offer the bulb by itself?
They do sell the bulbs on their own as well. I don't have any other specific recommendations for other brands but I do suggest you check other places and look at reviews before you make your final decision.
They do make a difference in terms of plants only being able to absorb certain wavelengths of light on the spectrum. If you're looking for something esthetically pleasing in your living space you may not want purple lights or bright white because it can be quite harsh on the eyes.
@@Angie-ci1lp you could honestly spend several hours learning about grow lights. Some people are looking for maximum output and cost efficiency. Maybe you have a grow tent that's sealed and are growing plants for sale. It's important to discuss what you're looking for first and then finding a solution that works for you.
I'm no longer seeing it as an individual purchase but you may still be able to get the Bethlehem Star Gift Set, (under bundles) that comes with a light and the archetto, I'll look into it.
Kinda? Not really. A plant can be healthy with no fenestrations. More fenestrations comes with size and age. Which is the look I like. More fenestrations means the plant is getting everything it needs to maximize it's growth.
I keep writing and deleting my comment because I'm trying to find a nice way to say I hate soltech and there are way better bulbs on the market for a third or less of the cost that can be used with any e26 light fixture. But I can't. Soltech lights are a very expensive solution for people who don't want to do a lick of research into lighting.... and I have a hunch you absolutely don't fall into that category lol. I like that you kept this short and sweet. I'm so salty for soltech lmao!!! 💚
This is a fair conversation to have. There are a couple things I would bring up... -I spent about two weeks looking for wired pendant light fixtures. One huge road block I ran into was, the best looking ones required wiring/electrical to already be in place. For the pendant lights that were wired, the thing I noticed is that they didn't have braided cables (they had thick double plastic coated wires) and they had the switch too close to the actual fixture (this would mean having the light switch attached to the wall 6' or 7' up). I did find some at ikea with the switch closer to the outlet (which would be by the ground) but those didn't have have an actual fixture, they would just be a hanging outlet with the entire bulb visible. -Using a lamp with an individual bulb is another option, however having a nice looking tall enough, adjustable, modern crescent shaped lamp with a low footprint would have been in the $250-$400 range. -As I mentioned in the video, many individual grow bulbs also run in the Kelvin range that pushes close to bright white. And while it's a personal preference, I think many people would prefer a warmer, more welcoming feeling colour in their home. I think the Aspect Growlight is the simplest solution for someone who needs an overhead grow light, who wants something esthetically pleasing and easy to set up. Individual bulbs and shop lights absolutely have their place, but as far as esthetics I think for many people this is an easy choice.
In client work they say "cheap, fast and good: pick 2". Getting all 3 doesn't exist. I think that goes here as well, if you think of fast as not having to put a lot of time into research. There's probably cheaper, good (effective + decent looking) solutions out there, but you're gonna be spending a lot of time and effort researching those. Soltech is a good, easy option, but you're certainly paying a premium for that convenience. Does not mean it's a bad product at all :)

You have the best videos for monstera. Thank you
This is the plant that can grow those corn on the cob like fruit when it gets big and mature enough. Supose to be really good.
Wow very nice demonstration , thank you !
KTP code works! So excited to get the light!!! wondering if anyone has experience with grow lights and dragon trees...
Glad you got them. I don't have specific experience with that plant and lights but I suggest the same philosophy of starting out short and slowly increasing the length of time.
😂😂😂 you got called out on the lemo tidbit😂😂😂😂 I agree with the side eye.
Wow! Nice product!
That's am amazing monstera! Thank you for all the info!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for watching!

Hi where do you purchased the archet? Thank you
Those look great
My favorite $20 bulb matches and even beats this. They came up with simple but amazing engineering solutions for the heat issues that ruin LED and prevent manufacturers from pushing them at higher percentages of their capabilities
Which light is it?
How are you gonna make a marketing pitch about this light and not tell us what it is
Please do tell!
Thank you for this video ! It so helpful .
Another great video
I just got an Aspect large…and it puts out an amazing amount of light, a lot more than I thought it would. Certainly enough to maintain a larger sized plant. I have it over a table with approx 10 medium and small size plants. I had to raise the light a little higher because it was almost too bright. I have some lower light plants around the perimeter of the table, where it isn’t as bright. Low light plants would do great on the floor around the table. Been a few weeks and I’m seeing amazing growth spurts in almost all the plants. Sorry I didn’t buy this grow light sooner!
That’s great! I’m happy you’re enjoying it.
i just happened upon this video, it was funny and helpful. Air conditioned limo 😆
That monstera though🥰🥰🥰🥰
Is the grow light the same of a full spectrum bulb??? Can I just use full spectrum everywhere in house? Thank you
I know this is sponsored but realistically you can just buy a pendant fixture and hardware from ikea and a bulb with identical specs for less than 1/4 of the price. With the added benefit of being able to swap out the bulb if your situation changes
Just came back to this video.. My leaves are "pointing up" also, is that to be expected when using grow lights?
Yes, leaves will always angle towards collecting the most light
@@KillThisPlant ok thank you 😊
Great info, I have fiddle leaf figs.
Wow i am colombiana i LOVE mostera thx for u video
I have a similar situation with my monstera, its now reached the ceiling and still throwing out leaves. I have a mars hydro led lamp hanging sideways a few feet away .
I came here from Sheffield Made Plants
Hi! 👋🏾
Great segment.
Thanks for the inspiration.😊 7:10
Good evening- I live in Boston and I don't get much light because of a huge tree during summer but I do get good sunlight during afternoon in winter. I've had my monstera for a year and it has grown 2 leaves but not thriving.
I changed it's location where he will get inderect/direct sunlight for 3 hours and I will have the grow light for 6 hours. Will that be enough to thrive and get more penetration in it's leaves?
If it isn't enough, just increase the amount of hours your grow light is on.
we need an update!
They have more details about recommended distance on their website
soltech.com/en-ca/pages/aspect-grow-guide
How many hours should the grow light be on every day?
Between 12-17 hours. It depends on the distance to the plant and the strength of the light.
I have been thinking about the aspect pendant light. I might just get one in winter.
@@KillThisPlant Alrighty, thanks a lot for helping me out!
Oh man! Wish I saw this yesterday as I just bought a light. Can you post a pic of how she staked her plant? I have a similar size and have NO idea what to do with it. I just got it and it is so thick that it is hard for me to negotiate. Haha. I would *really* appreciate it. Great video - thank you.
Nevermind! I was able to zoom in enough on the video. :) Thanks again - I have learned a lot from your videos.
A video that focuses more on her plant is coming soonish but I'm glad you got it sorted!
@KillThisPlant Wow that's amazing! I've tried several grow lights from Amazon, and the readings were completely different than advertised.
@@KillThisPlant Can you make a video about it and the importance of lux? I've seen lots of false products on Amazon and AliExpress.
@@Badg0r next video. You're in luck.

Wow 😮 those leaves 😍
I finally got a grow light for my young monstera, do you recommend having the grow light on during the night? Or just supplement daytime sun with it?
Thanks!!
Just daytime. Let your plants sleep at night

@@KillThisPlant Awesome, thanks for your prompt response.
I have a pretty big north east facing window. Its a big french window, and theere is a ceiling window above the french window of the same size as the french window. But is it a lot of light when its north east oriented? I live in northern hemisphere.
Get a light meter (free app or device) and take measurements throughout the day.
At least 400fc or 4300lux for 12 hours is a good target.
Should i buy 40 W or 20 W for my thai constallation?
If you use their growing guide the recommended distance is 20W: 24” - 48” 40W: 48” - 60”.
I would probably make my decision based on
-will the light look good positioned here
-is it in the right range to help my plant
If your plant is 1 foot tall and placed on the ground, you'd have to hang the 20W light fairly low and it might look a bit strange hanging so far down.
@@Badg0r the GE 32 watt full spectrum grow lights are 50 PPF which is around 2200 lux
Was this monstera purchased as a small plant? Or was it purchased with large leaves? I can't wait until my monstera has perforations like this one.
great question. If you go way way back to the first video I ever posted. this plant is a cutting from the two smallest leaves on that plant. I think those original leaves might have been 6" or 7"
it would be interesting to see how much one of those cheap amazon grow lights does for a plant since many people cant afford an expensive grow light
They can work great. Get what's in budget.
Where did you Buy your cable clips please?
@@Danko_HS in my experiences depending on the window, the leaves and stems will move and reach to the point they are touching the windows

Leave it. If it's completely brown you can cut it near the edge of the brown but if you start cutting into the green the edges may just brown up again. I don't recommend messing with it. It'll recover and if the leaf has green it's still helping.
Thank so much, I will do this

What type of potting soil do you recommend when repotting?
ruclips.net/video/tPeffsP_K5c/видео.html
I use some combination of this mix depending on what I have around my home.

Did you mean those dome lamp with the clips?
First of all I LOOOOOOOVE your videos! Do you have any suggestions on grow light bulbs that we can already add to lamps we own or does this company just offer the bulb by itself?
They do sell the bulbs on their own as well. I don't have any other specific recommendations for other brands but I do suggest you check other places and look at reviews before you make your final decision.
I have a grow light on my monstera just so the leaves face me on the couch and not the window. Tons of fenestrations and huge leaves since I did this.
That's awesome.
What light do you have?
Beautiful plant! Do color of lights make a difference?
They do make a difference in terms of plants only being able to absorb certain wavelengths of light on the spectrum.
If you're looking for something esthetically pleasing in your living space you may not want purple lights or bright white because it can be quite harsh on the eyes.

Thanks! Everything, including the stand, is from the Soltech Solutions website.
Are you saying more fenestrations means a healthier plant?
Kinda? Not really. A plant can be healthy with no fenestrations.
More fenestrations comes with size and age. Which is the look I like. More fenestrations means the plant is getting everything it needs to maximize it's growth.
Can you please give tips on the draceana Massangeana
How much electricity does it used ?
Probably around $18 per year.
