I purchased powerstop pads from paragon, just strictly to cut down on brake dust, I don’t track at all, so I can’t comment on that, but brake dust is virtually eliminated, very happy with them. Nice video, keep up the great work guys!
Changed the Brembo brakes that had 5 miles on them on my new Conti Z06 for the Paragon brakes. The quality of Paragon’s products are second to none. Also, phenomenal customer service. Which I lived closer to Utah!!!!

I took my 23’ Z51 to the Daytona Rolex course last October. I installed the Carbotech XP10’s on both the front and back, using the stock rotors. I bought them direct from Carbotech. Their tech support was great. After 2 days of hard driving in multiple sessions, the XP10s did very well. After listening to your discussions regarding the need for high temp brake fluid, I will make that change for the 2024 season!
Great Video and content on brakes! I was surprised to hear that the Z06 only came with regular brake fluid, and that it too needed to be changed out for high temp fluid if tracking? Why would GM not put high temp brake fluid in all Z06's from factory given that this is advertised as their "Track" car?
A few months back I did the Level 2 Advanced Track Days school at Spring Mountain, and we were toasting the rotors constantly. 2-piece rotors will help, but the real issue is the rotors aren't large enough for the weight & speed of the C8. Wilwood now offers a brake upgrade kit with a 15" rotor that should hold up much better for track use, but it's pricey (~$4800 per axle).
Hey Rick, if I'm lucky, maybe you'll get to shoot some footage of Chuck doing the "OEM Plus Light" installation of the Power Stop Brake Rotors and Pads that I had delivered to your dealership from Paragon Performance on my C8 Stingray along with the side rockers from ACS. It could make a good follow-up to this video while showcasing the benefits of having these types of upgrades installed pre-delivery by your team as part of the PDI process.
I think I would rather upgrade to a larger set all the way around. This way I would have a larger surface area, plus larger calipers and pads with more clamping power. Holding off until standard replacement calipers, rotors and pads are available for the Z06 and ZR1 then just up grade everything.
So we have a 2014 Corvette stingray non-Z51. Can I upgrade to the Z51 rotors? Obviously I have the standard four piston, floating calipers. Our Corvette is a daily driver, but occasionally we drive aggressive and enjoy spirited driving. We currently have 49,000 miles on the odometer. I have replaced the pads with carbon ceramics. 25,000 miles ago. Even though the stock Brembo pads still had more than 50% life. Keep in mind that I did not replace my rotors. Unfortunately, now I’m experiencing a brake shutter at high speeds. During street driving under 50 miles an hour there is no shutter until I drive freeway speeds. That’s why I’d like to upgrade to a Z51 rotor.
I use Castrol “React SRF Racing” brake fluid in my 2019 ZO6. Any thoughts about this, besides price? Any opinions on API rotors? Have seen a lot at COTA on pro racing teams.
Nice job, guys. But you missed it on the brake hoses. You can spend a ton of good money on brakes and fluid for the track and ruin your whole day with factory hoses. Heat kills them. Like all the products in your brake line. Do another tech update on the hoses. Heat and pressure kills them. Thanks, and I appreciate the video. 👍👍😊
*Antelope. Nevertheless, this incorporates several of my passions into one photo. What a truly amazing picture! @efstorms I have to ask. Was your Dad's Vette in Sunfire Yellow with a black top? Furthermore, what make, model and caliber of rifle was he using? FWIW, I hold a special place in my heart for Meadowlark Yellow and a Black Vinyl Roof. My first car (1968 Mustang J-Code Restomod • 11.71@121mph ~9mpg) had this exact color scheme. I miss her every day. Stay classy my friends.
Why would anyone get Carbon Ceramics and want to upgrade? Or are “we” addressing the people with the standard Brakes? I have Z51 and yes I do hate the dust!!! Is that the reason to switch? I don’t plan to track any of the C8s. Still waiting for ZO6 allocation, but do I want to spend $150-160,000 on a ZO6 at age 69 and not in great health? I guess I’ll keep the power washer in a convenient location to clean off the Brake Dust even though the wheels were Ceramic Coated!
*Antelope* not Antilope. Nevertheless, those Powerstop rotors look cheap in my humble opinion. Visible tooling marks are generally indicative of poor quality and this seems to be reflected in the price. In my professional opinion, brakes are the _LAST_ place you should be attempting to save money. Tires and brakes are literally thee most important parts of *_any_* vehicle. Everything else is secondary. I will die on this hill. Stay classy my friends.

I now use PowerStop's in all my cars.
@@rondail5675 agreed, I put them on My TRX, Camaro ZL1, and a few others.

Informative and clear cut info on brakes! Please do more of these type of videos in the future. Thanks again Rick and Cory 👍
Thanks! Will do!
I can only speak for street driving, even aggressive driving, I like PowerStop pads!!
Next time get Callahan brake pads. Just take the butcher’s word for it.
LOL....Sandusky Ohio!

Outstanding video, RICK🇺🇸❤️🤍💙
One of the best technical explanations you’ve ever done!! Thanks for the brake insights! And thanks for posting the sandstorm drive!
Thanks Rick for adding me and my granddaughter.
Great technical information. Thanks for all you do.
26 minute mark 🥶🥶🔥🔥🔥
Awesome Tech Tuesday. Excellent job Korey and Paragon to inform about the differences and offering of a discount code! 💯💯💯👍
Put girodisc GP40 on my Z06 and it stopped great at VIR.. loved em.
Carbotech is great too tho!!

My Brother has really nice Carbon Wheels on his Z51... but they are ALWAYS Coated in B Dust!
Hi Rick!
Just got home from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale for the Eclipse!!!❤❤❤😊😊😊

Mr.Conti great Tech Tuesday vlog!! Brakes are very important!! Keep up the fantastic work sir!! Rick Stop Dreaming and Start Driving!!👍🏽
Hi Rick how about the c8 non Z51 for the brake pads, still the carbotech red pads and brake rotors? great podcast.
Carbotech is a Z51 or Z06 pad only, for a base model car, you can go wtih the Power stop pads. We don't have base model rotors at this time.

Can you get them dealer installed without voiding the warranty? I want pads that is for spirited street driving, but low dust.
Some dealers will do it.
My dealer in NY changed my brake pads

Great info Rick
Lots of great info regarding brakes! Does Paragon have this variety for c7 Z51 as well? Thanks for a super informative episode!

Since no one rated this video, I will. I think it’s excellent and I give it 5 lug nuts👍👍👍
Great video Rick. Very informative.
Is there a upgrade for calipers and rotors for non Z51 cars?
Carbotechs are always in stock :)
Wow. Great info. Thanks Ricky!
Excellent
Love the C2 Hunting Antilope in '66 pic.

@@BertShackleford you are spot on with the color combo and wow your first car is awesome! The rifle is a Remington 600 .350 rem mag
What does this do for my Chevy warranty on my braking system? If I change both pads and rotors?
‘
Brakes and pads are not under warranty. Mostly because a lot of people drive with right foot on the gas and the left constantly on the brakes.
What about c7 grand sport or ZO6 pads and rotors?
Why would anyone get Carbon Ceramics and want to upgrade?
Or are “we” addressing the people with the standard Brakes?

Carbotech pads are the best! Had them on my z51 and literally 80-90% reduction in brake dust. Take advantage of this 5% off sale!
Hello, we have a Chevrolet Corvette C7 upgraded and modified screen, Would you be interested in ordering it and trying it out?
Can you make a C8 non Z51 into a C8 Z51
Not fully one of the reasons I traded up to a Z51 for tracking the PTM settings are awesome for that
Why wouldn't you just pick up the Essex AP brake setup? With getting a larger pad, cost will decrease and its very light weight.
Thank you for the info Rick .
How does the 1521’s wear versus the factory pads?
Will see if Korey sees this and chimes in, thanks for watching
For street driving, we've seen zero issues with wear when compairing to the factory pads. However you CAN'T track on these pads like the factory ones.
Great tech Tuesday on brakes Rick and I was totally wrong I thought that all C8s came from the factory with high temp brake fluid.
Tech Time👍 nope Aprils fools 😂
