I'm probably going to join your patreon again when you get to season 3 or 4. Season 4, 5, and 6 of this show are on par with Breaking Bad. Almost feel like lost seasons of Breaking Bad, you're in for a treat.
The writing is amazing in Better Call Saul. But no surprise there since it's obviously the same people who brought you Breaking Bad. Enjoy the ride. Starts out a little slow in the first 2 seasons then really picks up.
@@mathmexican4234 Yes. It's in S3E9. I wouldn't say it's "bad", but it's worse and even more sudden than this one. Spartan may want to pre-screen it. Normally I wouldn't be giving out such specific spoilers, but given Pudgey's history and the fact that they could end up seasons ahead on Patreon, I just think it's best to give them all the necessary information in advance.

@@damienhanrahan1162 I’m not trying to be mean but I’ve watched their reactions to other series and I feel like they don’t really pay that much attention to little details or they easily forget them. I still enjoy their reactions anyways.
Gus and Mike are the real main characters IMO. I always wanted a backstory of those two. Gus coming up in Chile, getting connected with Schuler, etc. We never get to learn his real name, what he did in Chile to get his reputation, or what Schuler did for him in Santiago. We never get to see how he joins the cartel after they kill Max and tell him to f off either. And it would be cool to see Mike doing his thing in 'Nam simultaneously with that. And then him becoming a corrupt cop. Since it's been hinted in interviews that Gus was part of a rebel group going against the government, his and Mike's stories could really mirror each other.
@NeverStartTradingOptions considering most of the show would've taken place in their 20's - 40's, no, Aaron Banks couldn't have done that lol. It would need to be new characters ala Original Sin.
I also want to say; Breaking Bad is my favorite television show of all time. Even still… I waited until season 3 of Better Call Saul was airing to catch up and start watching it as it aired. Now I’m a convert. I think BCS takes already perfect aspects of BrBa and perfects them even further.
I think saying that BCS is better than BB is something I always want to say, however BCS wouldn't exist without BB, and each season of BB learned from its own mistakes and BCS learned from those and the storytelling and performances and visuals just continued to improve. So if I think BCS is the better show, it's only for the same reason I would say something like season 5 of BB is better than season 1.
Well spotted. It's a different song but same band as Fallout. The Ink Spots. This song is Address Unknown but the one you seem to be thinking of is "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" from Fallout 4. The Ink Spots were featured pretty heavily in the Fallout games including "It's All Over But the Crying", "Maybe," "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" , "We Three (My Echo, My Shadow and Me)", "It's a Sin to Tell a Lie", and "Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall"
Ink Spots are also the opening song to Shawshank Redemption, "If I Didn't Care." You can tell them because they always use the same acoustic guitar intro in their songs.
I'm glad that you guys are finally getting to Better Call Saul. It's a really great show that stands on its own. There are a lot of familiar faces and nods to things that came up in Breaking Bad, so it'll be fun to see what you guys spot the first time around.
Never realized it was meant to be 2008, interesting. Now it makes more sense for Beneke Fabricators to be struggling and Walter to be lying that Gray Matter was faltering due to “the economy”.
The song was 'Address Unknown' by the Ink Spots. Fallout has used a few songs by the Ink Spots, and 'I don't want to set the world on fire' has a similar guitar intro to it.
Could be that, the opening riff was used by The Ink Spots for all their songs (far as I'm aware). This version of Country Roads was written for FO76, so likely referenced that riff because the Ink Spots are so commonly used in Fallout. The one I mentioned was the trailer music for FO3, which is about the right time for Spartan to have been playing it!
*Please, please, please commenters, DO NOT SPOIL S & P.* Do not hype characters or actors when they have yet to be fully revealed. FYI, and slight spoilers, but there is a pretty bad car wreck in a later season that might trigger some PTSD for Pudgey. Just want to warn you ahead of time so you can be prepared.
I love that they keep the pace of the show a bit ”slow” and take their time to build up the characters. Its such a big reward later on when you really feel things for the different characters! For me this show is up there with BB, season 5 & 6 are world class.
