Thank you Greg for fully explaining the difference between the bands. Especially on when and how to use them! This is most helpful for a beginner such as myself.
I have a nail school idea for you!! 💡*That's if you don't have one already?* How to care for and clean E file bits after they've been used on natural nails and or the cuticle areas. 🙂 Btw, I love all the information I get from this channel.😊 Knowledge is Power!💪🏼💙💚💜💅🏼👌🏼
Great video ..... But I do have a question . When you say you are right handed , and you are going across the nail bed , from the right side of the nail bed to the left side of the nail bed .....why don't to tell people that the efile bit needs to be spinning in the clock wise direction ? This is the direction that right handed people should use ....because it creates resistance when you are going from right to left on the nail bed . Without the efile spinning out of control over the nail bed . With pressure and resistance , the product comes off easily . The opposite is used for a left handed person . Am I correct ? At least this is how I learned .
LOVE that sign saying “GIVE TRACEY A RAISE” LOL. also love that in part 2, it appears to then say “”GIVE TRACEY A SEA”, too 🤬funny!! Great video as always guys ❤️👌🏻💅🏻
Yes the boys played with the sign when she wasn't looking but she had hid all the letters so they only had the letters in give Tracey a raise to work with...hahhahha
I am new to doing my own nails. You guys have really helped me have a better understanding of how to work with acrylic. Would love to see a video of a full set or fill done. Maybe that would be something Tracy could do? Thanks!
Great informational video! What kind of mandrel bit and 3/32 shank size, to fit the averge nail drill can I buy that are tight fitting enough not to fly off, but not too tight to not get off with a hard pull???
Question : if you see that the smaller diamond bit is going to be needed...can you just use it for the entire nail instead of switching to the arbor band?...Or is the arbor band needed for the majority of the nail & the diamond bit only used where it's absolutely necessary?
Tracey says that normally she just uses the arbor band because she likes that it covers more of the nail, she only uses the cross cut for deep pockets.
Question, how many times should you file around the cuticle edge?Like when is it too much filing?Because I feel like a the nail salon they do it wayyyyy more then they need too
I use a sciver bit fr the entire prep process- way more efficient and works fantastic. Remember to reverse the bit to do the opposite side of the nail ;)
Hey Greg, just curious why you chose a medium arbor band on the first nail with no product. Isnt a fine band sufficient? I use medium for a fill and that helps remove any loose product.
Isn't a medium coarse arbor band damaging for the natural nail?? Wouldn't a fine coarse be better when trying to keep the natural nail healthy and strong??
😁 I love that Greg used the word 'tickle' to teach us cuticle prep!! BTW, did Tracy purposely place that sign so that it's shown in almost all the shots? 😂👏👏 #givetracyaraise
No I’m not pushing the cuticles back. I’m always afraid of hurting myself by pushing too far back. Yes sometimes the drill rubs onto my nailbeds when I’m filing
@@youngnailsinc okay. I'll make sure but in the future videos can you show some examples of what you can be doing wrong if you put the brown bit on please and thank you ☺
I really would like to know how to deal with a client who Cuticles grow over her mom and she doesn’t want to get it cut off how do you deal with lifting when a client only wants them pushed back
Huh? I just watched vee nails and it said never go back and forth with the file but from one side to the other and lift and now this video is telling me to file back and forth I’m so confused?.......
You should do a video on the safety of useing a efile and what to do if u nick the skin, only a idea and a video on all of the bits you can use on the natual nail and what you can use gel/acrylic to shape or take down or even a set on what to get when starting out. not that you buy everything and dont need half of them 😀😀
MissYosie Kang I clean them, sanitize, and disinfect them like other implements. ☺Clean off all debris with a brush, 99% isopropyl alcohol, and Barbicide.
States can vary in what is accepted. Tracey did give a useful tip of running the bit on an eraser before cleaning, she says it pulls all the dust out before she sanitizes and makes the bits last longer.
I'm not all familiar with this tools and I would like to know what kind of nail drill machine is used for the bits that have the plastic square bottom thing... Is there a specific machine for these drills Or can you just use them with all types like "Nikkola nail electric drill," or any other brands? Please help I really want to buy; "21 Type Ceramic Nail Drill Bit Diamond Electric Manicure Cutter Machine Rotate Remove Head Accessories Nail Art Tools TRGS/M/S," but I don't know what nail machine is required for these drills.
Greg & Tracey, I've taken this info and used it and loved it. It's changed my prep game completely. I am wondering what your take is on the Russian bits and using them to exfoliate the cuticle skin as well as get just underneath the cuticle so you can apply product as far back as possible? How do you feel abt those bits? (Sciver, long barrel, ball bit, etc)
Greg & Tracey are both not a fan of the Russian manicure technique, there is potential of breaking that protective seal. They just like to remove the loose stuff that will cause lifting. They both did say that there are some techs out there that use the technique and have no problems, so it would be a personal choice.
YoungNailsInc good to know. With my own clientele I wouldn't want to risk it. From the 2 OWC classes I've been to, I've learned so much to up my game...I haven't needed to do much more prep work than what was shown in this video.
I was going to email you but can’t find your email. I bought the diamond crosscut from you guys because Tracy talked about it highly. It didn’t work for me 😩. I’m so bummed. Been using electric file 20 years. Love you guys, love your products but don’t love that bit lol. I tried it for prep after my sanding band.
I need an advice.. I always find myself cutting the cuticle area and it makes me very frustrated. I don't think I am to fast, since I am still learning and am doing everything much slower.. Very frustrated with myself :(
Greg's such a great teacher. And I always know when it's about to get real and I need to pay extra close attention when he says "AGAIN" 😄
hahhaha so true.

Nice

This is amazing - just bought an e-file today and was thinking to myself I have to learn how to use it 😃 You came to the rescue!
Hope it helps and let us know if you have any questions.
What gritt do you recommend that sanding bands are for applying it to the natural nail?
medium 150
I’m gonna have to order me one of those diamond cross cuts. 🧐
You will love it!
@@youngnailsinc Where can you get it? and how much>?
Will try the diamond bit.👍 And # give Tracey a raise!!😄
This is great .. my question is I can use the diamond bit to the whole process?
Does it burn the natural nail? Only use the medium grits arbor band? And what speed should the e file be on?
I so love watching again and again 😘 best ever
❤️❤️
Lmao...I love what’s on the word box in the back...!!! 😅😅😅 Tracy deserves it.!!
hahaha totally
Why not use a more pointed type diamond bit to get into the deeper part or around the cuticle?
we love using our medium cross cut diamond for getting into those high sidewalls on the nail 😂
YoungNailsInc Got it! Thanks a bunch 😘
What bit would you suggest is good for cutting nails? Mainly for toe nails..
what is the potency of the this eletric file? how many rpm? an eletric file that has maximum 3500 rpm is enough?
Question, how many times should you file around the cuticle edge?Like when is it too much filing?Because I feel like a the nail salon they do it wayyyyy more then they need too
Very informative!! Thanks so much Gregg.
I use a sciver bit fr the entire prep process- way more efficient and works fantastic. Remember to reverse the bit to do the opposite side of the nail ;)
What grit Arbor band are you using and what speed⁉️
150 grit sanding band at 3,000-5,000 rpms.
I love how expressive gregs eyebrows are and they're slayin too
He does have good eyebrows!
Can you use the cross cut bit for the same thing you use the arbor band for? Not just tight spaces but for removing shine over whole nail?
yep!
Thank you guys your awesome I am learning so much just found you guys!
Awesome! Thank you!
Hey Greg, just curious why you chose a medium arbor band on the first nail with no product. Isnt a fine band sufficient? I use medium for a fill and that helps remove any loose product.
A fine bit can be too smooth and you can run into lifting, medium is the perfect grit.
Love the sign trace!!!
How do you get the arbor band off the mandrel?
When you use the diamond band do you use it at the same speed as you used the arbor band?
How do I insert the bits in the pedal two ways nail drill????
Hmmm..not sure about that model of E-file, what brand is it, have you tried checking on the brand site?
I love these vids. Very well explained etc!
Isn't a medium coarse arbor band damaging for the natural nail?? Wouldn't a fine coarse be better when trying to keep the natural nail healthy and strong??
Another great video. Thanks guys.
Great tips, great teacher! Thanks Greg! #GiveTraceyARaise
Great tips, as always. Thank you Young Nails ♡♡

well she tries..hahhaaha
Gracias sus videos me han ayudado tanto en mejorar mis técnicas
So good to hear!
How often do you need to replace diamond bits?
Depends on how often you use them. For example some one doing 8-10 services a day 5 days a week would need to replace their bits every 7-14 days
how would i remove the brown piece off the barrel if i wanted to change it
You can grab the edge of the sanding band and pull it off to remove
I have been doing this, but I still keep rubbing into my nailbeds which is causing irritation and blisters. Any advice?
Do you mean you have been running the bit onto your skin? Are you pushing the cuticle back first?
ruclips.net/video/DTsxep7CNiI/видео.html
No I’m not pushing the cuticles back. I’m always afraid of hurting myself by pushing too far back. Yes sometimes the drill rubs onto my nailbeds when I’m filing
For this one if I am right hand I should should be using forwarded right ?
Yes
@@youngnailsinc thank you so much. This whole times I have been doing it wrong 🤦. That explains allot. Thank you so MUCH for all that u do thank you 🙏
Do you dispose of the arbor band after every client?
I wish I could train one on one with you. I love how you teach!
You should check out our upcoming Zoom classes...hint hint 😉. Link here: www.youngnails.com/upcoming-classes/
Every time. I put my brown bit on my e-file it flies off what is. I'm doing wrong?
Make sure you are pushing the sanding band all the way onto the bit

I really would like to know how to deal with a client who Cuticles grow over her mom and she doesn’t want to get it cut off how do you deal with lifting when a client only wants them pushed back
Typically we don’t recommend cutting cuticles. Pushing back and using an e-file to clean up usually does the job.
Thank you so much. You guys are lifesavers. ! 💅
Love your work/skills what e file is best to use
We Love our Yn-100

it's medium
@@youngnailsinc Thank you!😊
Is this a 240 grit sanding band?

What’s the difference between the diamond bit and a ceramic bit?
What they are made out of. Both serve different purposes and people have their own preference
How do you clean your diamond but after each clients ?
MissYosie Kang I clean them, sanitize, and disinfect them like other implements. ☺Clean off all debris with a brush, 99% isopropyl alcohol, and Barbicide.
States can vary in what is accepted. Tracey did give a useful tip of running the bit on an eraser before cleaning, she says it pulls all the dust out before she sanitizes and makes the bits last longer.
Hi. Why did you not buff all the way down the extension?
Buffing the enhancement will lead top chipping of gel polish or top coat
What about the differences of carbide vs ceramic if they are both the same shaped bit?
We are not too familiar with the ceramics, we found bits we love and stuck with them.
Hi, is the cross cut bit the narrow or large? Thanks :)
