We just have to keep practicing with the timing and timing ourselves until we can apply acrylic application within the hour . And even keep watching this video and practice along with .
Hello Lady you are very right but once you learn how to lay the acrylic to your nail it will become very easy for you it good to watch these video to learn how to do it but remember do what make you comfortable when apply the power. I think the three step is very good for beginners and you need a good lamp with bright light so you can see really good I been in this business sent 1996 and I do have my license. I learn a lot on my own just practicing there was no RUclips for me so I became very creative but practice everyday will payoff. Keep up the good work I hope I said something to help you out God Bless.
Hello Lady go to dollar tree and buy you a timer the one you use to cook with and time yourself from beginning to the end and it will help you monitor your time then you can see where you are taking too much time on. It only take 45 minutes or less to do a full set and 15 for a fill. Wish you lucky I know you can do it I did it and I didn’t have RUclips in 1996 to help me and I do have license sent 1996 as well. I think you would do good on the three step method and don’t pick up to much power just start out with a little bead until you get comfortable and build on that. Have a good day.
Ya know, there aren't many video's or channels i look up too for learning. But. You guys, naio nails, nail co, tammy taylor, gemma herself, April Ryan, wow the work they do is absolutely amazing, . So you guys are so up there with the best,. Xxx love your work, . The harder it is, the more I love it. Xxxxxxxx
Suzie from nail career education is an amazing educational channel too 😊 her and yni are my faves. She has a really relaxing voice and explain things really well, also the editing is 👌 I recommend watching her! Even if you just want to put something on and relax x
From someone whom has been doing their own acrylic nails for almost a decade? I cannot thank you enough for these videos. 2 videos in and I'm sitting here like "ohhhhh THATS why my nails take forever and are never smooth like i want them!" I can't wait to put this advice into motion with my new set! Thank you so much YN!!
Excellent as always!! Whenever I have a client who's interested in learning or a student , I teach them what I can during a service , through my videos and then always direct them here to your channel and they always speak so highly of what they've learned , keep up the amazing work and teaching the world between proper services and ones they should run from lol #youngnailsfamily
You explained the cut oval area application so well in this video. I finally get it! Thank you so much for all your help. You guys are just the best at spreading your knowledge. It builds a lot of trust. I haven’t had an opportunity to use the majority of your problems but I’m just starting out. You can bet I will tho!
Thank you guys so much for all the amazing/high quality/passionate education that you give us! The hard work you put in encourages me and makes me want to make every set better than the last! #youngnailsforlife get Tracy a drink and keep those videos comin!
I must say I just started back up with doing acrylic nails application , with all the videos I have watched only this one is a detail description of everything. This is like a nail class learning even better that the actuall class we paid for. Thanks guys keep up the good work teaching us to be pros like you'll.
Thank you for your awesome tutorials - another fabulous fully informative one we can use. Always look forward to your advice & over time I too have noticed a big difference in my work thanks to you guys - cheers, Tina, Gold Coast Australia ☺️🙏🙏🙏
1.Preparation - push cuticles back (medium speed band) - swipe to clean surface - protein bond (2 coats) Application - get it tight to cuticle area (wet pearl) Pinch into shape Less filing time
I love young nails nail crew, thank you so much for ever video every tip you all give your honesty omg these videos and just a little practice I'm able to wear nails I'm not ashamed of. Thinking about starting recording videos.
All excellent tips, as usual. I would love to see a simple explanation for how you combat humidity levels--high or low. In Florida, no matter how cold it is in my house/shop, I'm still battling the acrylic either drying too fast or not fast enough. Without running the a/c bill up, without purchasing "slow set" monomers, how can you balance this?
First if all it is very helpful amazing thank you for helping us improve in our work, second of all I really need your opinion about the actual time it takes a full set acrylic application with forms, what is the preferable time it takes? Thank you
For a basic full set, an hour to hour and a half is a good timeframe to work toward. If you are adding any art/custom length or shape, these may take you longer. Keep in mind, if you are not at this speed yet, it is more important to get your structure down first and then work on speed.
Soooo helpful! I just wanted to ask, what benefit is there to applying the protein bond on the surface of the acrylic after application and filing? Thank you! ☺️
I wish you would do other shapes not just almond. How do you avoid sculpting crooked nails when placing the form? Also it would help if you could find models with challenging nails such as the ski jump nails and hooked nails. How would you apply the forms on those types of nails to avoid the nails looking more hooked or like they are jumping up. How do you straighten a sculpted hooked nail after it’s grown out with the enhancement and starts pointing downward? One last thing, when I use your method for efiling, I find that I have all these lines or indentations where I have run my carbide bit and end up hand filing to finish file to get rid of this. What am I doing wrong? TIA 😊
I need to learn how to do this as well cause applying nail tips take up my time too! I'm a beginner and today I practiced on my sister and I took 5 hours on her😂😂
When you push back the cuticles Don’t you have to remove dead skin (eponychium) with a smaller pointy barrel? Or is it okay to proceed like you did? Because some clients have thicker cuticles or more dead skin. I usually put cuticle softener before I push then I remove dead skin with smaller barrel bit and then I remove shine.
Here's a quick video to show you another way to remove the excess cuticle. instagram.com/reel/CZgDzBusT-x/? Some clients will have a little more cuticle to remove than others and it is ok to use a diamond bit if necessary. Just be careful that you are only removing the dead tissue, not the healthy eponychium. Also, if you are prepping the nail for a full set/fill, we recommend that you do not use any cuticle remover/softener as these may interfere with the product adhesion.
Most of my clients show up with terrible, thick cuticles with lots of protein left on the nail plate, after pushing cuticles, so prep work takes a lot longer. Can you do a video working on someone with less than perfect cuticles to help us do this faster? Also, most new clients have seriously jacked up nails. Like dry, bitten cuticles and nails or damage from other nail salons, etc... this is what seems to take forever, because if I don't do some major prep the nails won't stay put. Suggestions would be appreciated greatly. Thank you!
your videos are always very helpful, thanks ... may I ask 1 question though : what you started with here is NOT a natural nail, there is still some small amount of acrylic on that nail, you can clearly see it right in the beginning . I guess you're doing this on purpose to protect the real natural nail, do you ?
Hi i need a eemo with a french reverse but with a tip please i struggle with the mountains what makes my soaking hours. Thanks Santie from South africa
Hi, i was wondering if nail prepping wears down the natural nails after a while since shine has to be removed before every gel or acrylic service, does the nail start to get thinner over time for someone that gets their nails done with a gel overlay every two to three weeks?
We use our product swipe. Swipe is an alcohol and acetone based product formulated to cleanse the nail perfectly for product. Here is a video about Swipe & how to use it: ruclips.net/video/lXxr0U-kHkM/видео.html

Very frustrating. I can do a full, fresh set in about an hour and a half. But a fill on some unknown persons work seems to take forever! Do you have any tips or tricks for that?
Hi guys if I’m doing a infill I can generally do the acrylic application quick it’s the prep of The nail and the filing I struggle with for time same with doing a new set it prep time and and filing in general because I like to no prep it very thourgh it’s making sure there’s no dead skin on the nail plate ext

In Florida, no matter how cold it is in my house/shop, I'm still battling the acrylic either drying too fast or not fast enough. Without running the a/c bill up, without purchasing "slow set" monomers, how can you balance this?
Some put the monomer in the fridge or if you don't want to you could sit your dish of monomer inside a bowl of ice water.
You could tey housing humidifiers or dehumidifiers to maintain 1 constant humidity level
I always say it with you...”Right Now, on Nail School”
And then I jam out to the music and have to rewind to whatever Greg or Tracey says 😂😂
tmcdgreen LOL!
Damn Greg. Your work is beautiful. That straight reflect proves it. No lumps or bumps on that nail! Can you guys show time shaved off gel service too?

We love you!
This is motivating , and I appreciate this video ,,,,, can I also use the same process with acrylic nails too ???
this video is for acrylics, did you mean gel nails?
I mean the filling process on normal plastic nails with acrylic

Great tips 👍👍👍👍👍
Great tips!
Love you guyssss. From Açores islands Saint Michael Sao Miguel
Nice! Thanks for watching
What are you doing if you have client with a lot dead skin very sticky on nail plate ? Hihi I supposed don’t take 5 minutes lol
So I just realized that he has his own nail tech school. I wish I could come and learn from him in person.
Would love to have you
Where???
What would be the best band grit to remove the shine?
we recommend using a medium sanding band on the natural nail
Great tips thank you x
I need to learn how to do this as well cause applying nail tips take up my time too! I'm a beginner and today I practiced on my sister and I took 5 hours on her😂😂
Question? When we prep nail and all can we apply dehydrator than the primer ? Or just primer ??
You prep with swipe which dehydrates the nail then protein bond which prepares the nail for the enhancement
What number size brush you use? I have a number 14 kolinsky crimped brush but I’m starting to think its too big?
Ours is about a size 9 it is great

Use a 150/150 grit file
