Enjoy the video!
I hope you enjoyed the video. It was fun editing it. And check out the plans for the base, they're great: mariushornberger.com/products/powertool-base
I would love to see plans for your homemade wooden lifting table please! Such a great design!
Loved it!
Could you please link the castors and also the quick release plates.
"Let's see if that fits. It doesn't. Wonderful." - Me with everything I try to build
me, a fitter, trying to do my job
You are not just very good at what you do, you are also good to present it, and you do it using lots of humor.
I always enjoy your videos. It's learning and having fun at the same time. Brilliant!
Hey Marius, just wanted to tell you that your projects have always had a high quality of engineering and building. But I want to ad that mainly your video quality has much improved. They are more fun to watch, even better to understand, and you know better how to quickly explain some relatively "inemportend" things. Great work mate and keep evolving. Greetings from a dutch neighbor (forgive me for some of my grammar or spelling mistakes)
Thanks, i appreciate!
Fantastic build! Love how solid it turned out!
Thanks, your push stick came in handy as well
Marius your videos are just getting better and better. Absolutely superb production, and the humour content is top notch.
Oh and great workbench too. 😁👍
Ha, those removable casters are exactly what I need to solve a problem I didn't know I had until I saw them (if that makes sense).
Ya know, I’ve seen those casters for years but I never thought of getting one set of them and then getting the brackets on multiple benches and just using the wheels where you need them.
I've been a subscriber for at least 5 years (since The Impeller video, I think) and although your skills and creativity were always very impressive, what makes my jaw drop is how much better you're constantly getting at your craft! Concept, construction, complexity, precision, functionality - everything just keeps getting better with every video. It's so cool to be able to see this progress!
Hell yeah! I was just wondering what I should watch with my morning coffee!
I am three minutes behind you ☕
And I’m watching with afternoon coffee, cheers ☕️☕️
Wait, does he come from Germany ?
Flat Pack builds are always handy, especially as mobile as this one, well done Marius
The first 2 minutes are a perfect summary of dimensioning best practices with some table saw tips thrown in for spice. * chefs kiss *
I LOVE the detacheable wheels! I think I might want to use that idea to make some potted trees more mobile in the garden
That's a great application for these casters.
Hut ab! Der Unterschrank ist mega! Deine Videoproduktion hat aber auch ein neues Level erreicht - das ist sowas von gut!
Only change that I would suggest is a way to exhaust the heat from the PC out the rear of the cabinet and dust filtration for the front.
That was both entertaining and fascinating. You're video production keeps improving even though there was nothing wrong with the early videos that have a lot of us hooked.
I have never seen kitchen drawers so nicely thought out. I am quite envious of such things being commonplace enough that you were able to repurpose them for a workshop item!
and here I am , proud of myself watching my kitchen utensil hanger made out of pallet wood and screw hooks and loosely screwed to my kitchen wall .
great content all around , you are a true engineer .
I am but a sound engineer haha
You will miss the top board on the under-kischte cause the router will create dust dust dust…
There will be one in the future
Great video and build Marius 👍👍👍
So interesting and entertaining. I love the technology, the humor, the camera work, and the sped-up voice, " ... clamp, clamp, clamp ..." around the 1:20 mark. Thanks!
Awesome workbench/cabinet and great plans 😊👍🏼 love your videos, as always!
Nice work as usual! Keep up the good work!
Just so much fun watching you work, and watching the excellent video production.
Hope the self-sponsorship goes well...
Pretty soon you'll be time traveling with This Old Tony.
yay plans !!
I'm LOVING this modular breakdown bench design of yours Marius!!
This was such a lovely job! Makes me want to do some woodworking :/ Unfortunately I am in a flat now, but hopefully at my house I'll have some workshop in the future... We bought a house but there is no space for it now. Maybe in 2-3 years I can save up for a garage and add a workshop there :)
Can't help but like your vids and humour. We really need more people like you making / building things. thks
Well I have binge watching your videos the last 2 days.
I can say that you are an incredible creator. I just want humbly suggest that reconsider the round cutting wood with the table saw. Even tho you make it with little tabs and all correctly, I personally very scared of that technique even when executed perfectly. I have heard terrors of it, so it might just be me being extra careful but I just throwing it out there to reconsider :P.
I just worry since I watch you grow 10 years in the last 2 days LOL
OSB? You will smell that crap in your shop forever. Always outgassing....nasty stuff.
I am jealous of your engineering mind! Personally though, I took those same casters off my work bench recently. At first I was excited but when you end up kicking that long tongue enough, it becomes irritating. So, I just installed the old school undermounts. Maybe sometimes we actually don't need to re-invent the wheel lol.
Title says its about casters. I fast forwarded, never saw caster info.
I see a German link to Amazon. What about U.S. ?
Those retractable casters can be easily build yourself. I have done it for just 10 euros more than buying them from Amazon 🤦♂️
Hey great videos, I just wanted to mention that you can easily get high quality drawersliders at IKEA. Also very decent priced actually.
He Marius, great built yet againt. Which Bosch Drill are you using. I sm currently looking into getting a new one (old one ws stole. from my car)
I'd Like to suggest a Door on the computer shelf with a filter front and possibly some draught excluders as edging to prevent the computer there eating wood dust
Marius - wie immer ein tolles Video + Projekt! Vielen Dank - ein Vergnügen zuzuschauen! :) Weiter so!
love the edits in this :D
oh and always love the projects :D
thank you Marius! :D
man loved the preview, that is great idea
I was kind of surprised to see you using these casters. They are so clunky and in the way I would have expected you to create something more functionally elegant
Congrats Marius on a very well edited, comedic and we'll crafted video. I've been a subscriber for many many years and see you and your channel grow has been a pleasure. Thank you again from the UK!
Sehr cooler Unterbau für die CNC Marius :) Die Rollen sind auch echt klasse.
"little preview of the design" looks awesome)
Those drawer mechanisms are so nice.. definitely not normal here in the US.
13:38 *increasing the stiffness a little* while wearing a shirt saying 69. I see what you did there.
Dein Ideen, deine Videos und deine Art sind wunderbar.
Ich persönlich mag Casters nicht, die abstehen, praktischer finde ich die verdeckten Lösungen, al la Carl Holmgren 🙂
Nice projet as always ! Aren't you afraid dust / wood debris might be a problem since you haven't closed the top of the base ?
A top is part of the enclosure in the future
@@MariusHornberger In case you hadn't thought of it, if you enclose the top I'd suggest adding ventilation holes at the back of the PC area.
Please make plans for you lifting table :-)
Nice video... the end reminds me to Fight Club xD i am excited
Mortise and tenon and osb. Lol. Got to do what we have to do. With the cost of plywood.
Moin, kann wer angeben, wie hoch die Platten für die montierbaren Caster am Schrank angebracht werden müssen? Sprich Abstand vom Boden zur oberen Kante der Platte?
Grüße, Jan
I really want one of those engineer squares but they only ship in Germany
Algum brasileiro sabe onde compra esses rodízios?
I have one thing to say about your sweatshirt...nice
Can you please link the removable castors please
Hey Marius du bist aus Lindenberg?
Witzig, hab deinen Kanal zufällig gefunden. Ich bin in Lindenberg geboren.
LG
How much weight can a 2x6 hold on its side?
Very nice, but protect the computer from dust
I love the little gear-countdown :)
Also, Hornberger using a finish made by Hornbach is very fitting ;)
Cool! Why not closing the top? Isn't the CNC producing a lot of dust?
As you have start building everything with screws, are you thinking of moving to a bigger workshop anytime soon?
A top is part of the enclosure I'll build in the future.
I had to use screws to otherwise it would fit through the door
Your thumb asks, "Should I make plans?" Young man, ALWAYS make plans for your builds. You have all the right info each time you build a project, and the plans provide another stream of income. You DESERVE that money, and we want to build your projects. ALWAYS sell plans is your only answer.
Marius🤨 no take outs?
mmhh🤔
Dude. I've just discovered your channel and have been binge watching it for the last few days. Just wanted to say: great job! Everything from ideas to methodical and accurate execution to fixing your own screw ups to the humour she editing - top notch! Keep it up 👍
Yes .. I enjoyed as I have all of your others. Your editing skills are improving along with fewer bloopers.... Sad and happy at the same time....
14:53 I was starting to feel the same way.
Nice easter egg at the end ;) I"m impatient !
What brand are those drawer slides?
Thank you so much for your work Marius. It’s a humbling pleasure to see your plans and execution thereof. Awesome work!
Marius, not criticism, but just an idea, you might want to make a cart for your clamps for easy access with a smallish footprint. Maybe something with a square design with an open side and front and back storage.
Nicely done, as always!
Got a question that might be a bit off-topic though.. I saw you had the AKE diamond blade in an earlier video. How's it treating you? Is it worth the extra expense?
Awesome Marius Hornberger. Thank you young man; for all you have shared with us. Non Finer. We love them. And you too!😍
I found you when I was commenting on Jer Schmidts latest upload. You are truly an amazing talent. Your attention to detail and intuitive manufacturing sense. is astounding for one so young. You won me over and now have a new subscriber.Oh, and you are hilarious too. Cheers!
Can someone share a link to the foot levers
Wow, an amazing project! But where do you get those castors??? 🤤🤤🤤
I added a link in the description
The wheels are awesome, but I don't get why these mounting brackets are so expensive when bought separately. Also nice brackets here! the ones I found were brackets you had to slide the wheels in from a certain side. So if the bench is against the wall, you couldn't slide in one of the wheels.
Your videos are great to watch!! You and SuperFastMatt keep switching the one and two spots!!
I cought the Easter egg at the end
I like those soft close drawers, that's nice, you did a nice job on the whole bench, it looks good and sturdy, and you are right, I love the casters .
Looks awesome I really want to get a CNC you can do so much but I’m hopeless with programming maybe one day. Thanks for sharing love your channel
"Ok thats enough, but also this. Ahhh nice!" lol Love me some German humor!
I still love this easteregg 😊
Another great video. I love the new modular design you've been using that can be disassembled for moving. Very practical user friendly design. Great job, looking forward to your next video.
I rewound twice just so I could see the sneak preview. looks amazing. cant wait.
Excellent job Marius. And funny AF too. 👍🏻
such an impressive person
Another win for garbage drawers! And you're getting script writing and editing is getting even funnier, keep it up!
Nice Easter egg ! 😅👍🏼
Awesome build! What method do you use to run your CNC? I ask because a sturdy base like this feels like a prime candidate for a monitor arm on the side but I'm not sure if you need a monitor to run your CAM programs
Just recently discovered your videos. They are so very well done and entertaining. I spend hours now going back through the old ones. Thank you!
Why not mount your CNC at the Airy or Bessel points to minimize deflection?
Cute - a littel (sic) preview of the design. ;) Love the cabinet by the way!
Thank you, how about also having some can-can dancers!
I just bought your schematics!
Good job.
Thank you for the time you spent on it!
Super 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice work! I built a rabbit's home by the same principle🐇
Hello Marius, that whas a nice job and a verry nice cabinet 👍👍
This is awesome! I have been planning on making something similar to mount and move bench top tools that I store on shelves. Thanks for sharing your build
Your self sponsorship is a reflection of the level of care you put into your projects, you are above and beyond!
As heavy as both the CNC machine and tool base are, I still cannot help but wonder how well your (tapped / threaded) 12mm square washer is going to hold up? With side-to-side, front-to-back *and* rotational forces constantly acting on the entire CNC / Tool Base assembly would that rocking motion eventually fatigue the threads on a washer that is *only* 2.5mm (about 0.98") thick? In your video, you stated that the hole(s) you drilled as a recess for those leveling leg bolts were bigger than the bolt itself... This will allow the bolt to rock in all directions, eventually fatiguing the thin washer. - And I say 'thin', because a M12 *nut* is 12mm in thickness (almost 5 times as thick). Other than this one small issue I have, the rest of your build was awesome.
When you tighten the second nut to the washer the load is no longer on the washer but the nut
@@MariusHornberger Yet still, with a distance of 1.75mm per thread, the square washer now (essentially) has only 1.7 threads to tighten against? And honestly - it'll probably last a very long time with no issues - just made me wonder, regardless. - Thanks for the reply.
Your humour and editing style do complinent your precision really well! A great channel indeed. Keep it up!
