- The MacMaster is on JetBlue Flight 2884 From Orlando MCO Airport to New York JFK Airport mid flight on the way to JFK The Plane hits severe turbulence and the pilot announces that he will have to reroute the plane. This is the first time the MacMaster has had to reach for the Sick Bag.

We had severe turbulence coming back from New York on Wednesday evening. Never experienced turbulence like it before. Have to admit my heart was beating out my chest 🤦

Jet Blue is by far the best American airline. They have nice new planes and relatively cheap flights. That new terminal in Orlando is beautiful.

Thar reminded me of "The Twilight Zone" episode where William Shatner's a nervous passenger on board a flight with turbulance,, when he sees something on the wing.......playing with the engine!
I had forgotten about the B-52 on display at Orlando Airport (MCO). Presumably, this is connected with the airport's former life as a mixed use civil airport & USAF base in the 1960's. The B-52 was one of the aircraft based at the former McCoy AFB. I think they were the "B" model. All 75 or so of the B-52's still flying are the "H" model, built between 1961 and 1964.
We used Terminal C end of September last year coming home with British Airways loved it! 😊

Lee Luthansa still operating the 747 on routes from Germany to the U.S. perhaps you could do a trip report before they are withdrawn but sure that won't be for a few years yet, totally agree with you about Concorde.

Another great vid, I know the basics of Concorde not being used anymore, after the fire in France, the French pulled their fleet which meant BA couldnt afford to keep servicing their fleet as BA and Air France used a joint facility.

747s are mainly used for freight recently one was revived from the boneyard in the arizona desert it took over 8 months to restore it to flying status for freight use
The guy in the opposite apartment from me here in Port Orange is a pilot with Jetblue. His name is Arthur, maybe he's your pilot!? Terminal C opened in September. I flew out of it with Aer lingus. It was their inaugural flight out of there. The airport laid on free food and drink inside the Terminal.
I met a Jet Blue Pilot the other day. He watches the vlog. 😊

FYI Lee, hotels charge resort fees as a crafty way of getting round paying more to third party booking agents. Especially prevalent in Vegas. The resort fee doesn't qualify for booking agent commission.

Black clothing, if it's loose fitting and there's a slight breeze, is actually the best for hot weather. It helps to radiate heat away from the body. Try wearing a Burqa round Benidorm or Tenerife next time you're there 🤣

In aviation, the term "Diverted" means the plane lands at a different airport than planned. You were re-routed, not diverted. Just saying......

There is, but I didn't really find it all that fast, just generally hard to understand. It takes my brain 5 to 10 seconds to sync my understanding to Flight-Attendant-ese, and after that I'm OK. (and I have the same problem on British Airways.)

Not a diversion just a rerouting. Feel for you. When I endure turbulence I try to sit back, close my eyes and empty my mind. Doesn’t work too well but it’s the best I’ve got.
You big girl’s blouse, its just a few bumps! I had one out of MCO just after the service started drinks flying everywhere, carts smashing into things, pax screaming I was covered in red wine when I got off at LGA… brilliant!

Oddly I'm only person I know who loves turbulence..only time I wet myself we dropped a bit of shaking no problem but bloody scared me not even sure how far we dropped was too busy praying!!! So feel for you

We had this once on a flight back from Tenerife. We fell out the sky like a stone then suddenly managed to level up again all the children were crying. So distressing.😳
Sorry mate… but suck it up buttercup… I would not say it was severe turbulence, far from it ! Try flying through a severe thunderstorm. Even the crew weren’t buckled up. Felt rough wasn’t nothing to do with milkshake/ pepsi combo?
Plus you weren’t diverted, just a different flight path. Happens all the time. Would of been worse if you landed somewhere like Washington for example 😂. I won’t go on criticising

Airport looks a lot better than the old Orlando airport....wasn't much there.
Another great vlog Lee although the flight looked absolutely horrendous. The new terminal at Orlando opened late September we flew into the old terminal on the 16th September and flew out of the new one on the 2nd October 👍🏻
Lufthansa are still flying 747-400s and 747-8s on passenger services. That terminal is very cool 👍
Funny you should say that, as ages ago, I read something about possible charges to use the loo.
The 747 was a classic but I love the A380 double decker. Shame they're being phased out.

747’s are still in operation only as freight I believe, last one rolled of the production line this year, great vlog Lee ❤️❤️
UPS and Atlas Air still operate the 747 freighters in the United States. Last one rolled off the assembly line in Seattle a couple of weeks ago. See Sam Chui’s video of it.

Mentioning looking and checking gate numbers every 5 minutes. I flew from Valencia and they changed the gate 3 times😱. I was running round like a blue a***d fly . Hope the Jamesons helped!
Las Boeing 747 delivered last Week .Lufthansa are one of the few Airlines Operating Passenger 747's Worldwide .The Majority operating at present are used as Freighters
Good video. There was once a airline called tower air the whole fleet was 747s
Virgin Atlantic used to be all 747s for many years until they got the A340 - now they have no quadjets in their fleet.
Tower were a pretty awful airline by all accounts. Like JetBlue, they were based at JFK and they folded the year JetBlue started (2000); the two airlines couldn’t have been more different!

I promise you Lee Jet Blue flight crew would have hated the turbulence as much as you did, I believe they become the 'true' pilots' of that airplane and even looked at flying around the storm. I take my hat off to the pilots there.

Bloody hell Lee I felt for you on that flight.Once had one very similar,about 2 hrs of turbulence and to cap it off we overshot the runaway twice trying to land before been diverted---S--t myself!!!
Whenever I hear of a B52, I always think of Rock Lobster!
