- Welcome to BOAT LIFE: Working and Sailing In The Caribbean. In this video we're going to share with you the truth about living and working on a sailboat. Two years ago, we took the leap into full-time travel, and now we can't imagine life any other way.
Join us as we sail from mainland Puerto Rico to a small island off the coast, balancing remote work and the challenges of boat life. We'll share insights on our daily routine, fishing adventures, boat maintenance, and the various revenue streams that we have created to sustain our lifestyle. From enjoying island life with our dog, Dixie, to providing tips on remote work, we hope to inspire and inform you about this unique, fulfilling way of living.

❤ Cole + Emily
@@adventurecrews My wife and I just watched this, been on RUclips sailing channels for years, really enjoyed this. We just subscribed and also put our name in the hat for a spot in November! Lots of similarities, I do construction sales, we have 1 dog, want a catamaran, etc! We are in our 30’s living in Tennessee! If the group sail fills up then you should do another one next year! Thanks! Chase & Ramona Milam
@@Chaser87 Hey guys! Thanks so much for the kind words! We've got our next sailing event planned and would love to have you join us! If you put in your email here, we'll send you all the details!
the best blog I ever seen very well spoken with no annoying irritating voice ,authentic couple always straight to the topic ! looking forward for more
Thank you!
Amazing channel. Truly enjoyed the guidance to follow the sailing lifestyle instead of showing off. Most content creators got caught up in just showing the final results and not the how to get there.
You guys have a great positive energy and I thank you for sharing. Regards from Florida
🤩🤩Teamwork makes the dream work! You guys are the definition of work hard/play hard! Love you! 🤩
I really admire these two for having the courage and free spirit to go for it! Love the videos.
Thank you so much!
This is one of the absolute best and most informative videos that the two of you have produced during your short journey on the ocean. It truly resonates with both Joanna and me as we are six months away from embarking on our own adventures aboard our own catamaran.
Having worked remotely for many years, we just haven't done it on a boat. The information you provided is invaluable and critical for our success. We thank you both for your thoughtful approach and progressive efforts in sharing this with the public, helping us and others prepare for what lies ahead.
Fair winds and following seas ;)
Thanks!
You guys are the best, thank you so much!! ❤
I jumped into your DR series but then started watching your previous videos and I got stuck with this channel! I’m originally from DR living in central FL and in US since little but man that’s the lifestyle I would love to have!.
Cole & Emily, always great to travel with y’all to all your destinations. I like the fact that even though it is all the Caribbean, every place has its own unique lifestyle. Great vid, look forward to Dixie’s comin up.
14:46 loved that prayer part!
Love the videos I've been binging!!! Found you from Jiggin with Jordan. Kinda reminds me of Kara and Nate but cooler yall are really doing it. Much love from Indiana keep up the great work!!!!
You guys are crushing it!!!! Keeeeep it goinnnng ❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ miss you!!!
Love it!!! Can’t wait for next week’s video!!! You guys do such a good job on all your videos!!!
About falling asleep on the boat my wife always fall asleep on the boat. Great video
🎉 please go back to D.R. soon and show us more about that country, it seems there's a lot more to see of the island just needs to be shown the way you show your journey. 😊😊
Great to see you guys again, living the dream 🎉❤
My husband and I love watching you guys. We are set to retire very soon and our plan is to buy a sailboat and follow in your footsteps not the youtube channel too old lol. Can't wait to get out on the ocean!
Great video! I love watching your adventures! Happy sailing!
Loved this episode! Great music choices! Thinking of you and hoping you have a great summer!❤
FANTASTIC VIDEOS !!! It has been raining and flooding here in Ft Laudable for the last week . I have been binge watching all your videos. Great content! Well done! And Dixie does steal the show. ,,, For sea sickness,,, soak face in ice water a minute or so, and drink a half shot of sugary rum. My wife used Nassau Royal but can’t get it anymore. It does work. An old sailboat captain told us about it, but he might have been a drunk, lol. Keep up your great work.
Dixie is the bestest girl ever! Love watching your adventures. And the DR coffee is yummy!
Great video!! We can’t wait for November!
Very interesting, I enjoyed this video. Love you, G-mother 🥰
COME BACK HOME....THE DR ❤
Y'all have great presence on camera - glad I stumbled on your account. Fair winds! (oh and she's correct, it's "vee-ay-kays")
Wow Sailor great episode ❤
First time viewer now subscriber. Then I saw you pray before breakfast . I’m in .✨🌞✨
Great video, gladly seeing you are including more maps/charts for cruisers.
Miss You Guys in DR!
amazing loved that u guys shares this
We have two dog's(brothers) and they are the best. This week they will be 12. thanks
I am of dominican repúblic
Que Dios los bendiga
Thanks for sharing this. I am glad you guys found a way to keep working while sailing. We have been sailing for 8 years now and planned to sell the boat after this season. We need to go back to work and earn money. We are both engineers and I spent my last 10 years in construction so am keen to learn about remote jobs. We have a 2004 47' leopard. I really love your model. I am curious about the Amazon store. Do you think it would be successful without the youtube following. I am assuming that is how you direct traffic to it and without a following it wouldn't work for me??? BTW - I love your crew. Dixie is the best.
Great insight on working while living on a boat. Thank you. What kind of boat is super nova?
We followed the link and it didn’t show 20 jobs. After filling out the required in showed 10 industries and then a purchase option for 100 jobs. We really wanted to learn more about the construction job.
Hey there! Did you confirm the subscription link in your inbox? After you confirm, it will automatically take you to the download.
Can you say something about the bandwidth you are receiving via your Starlink? The biggest fear I am having is that it gets throttled after a specific amount of GB used and the remaining bandwidth will not be enough to hold video calls for example. Support and answering questions is not exactly the company's strong point...
You hit the spot. Support is non-existent.
Love the vlog!!! My goal is to do exactly what you guys are doing. I have a 27ft monohaul as a “practice boat” for now lol Ive already setup my life to be completely remote (because who likes commuting and staying in one place?)….how reliable is starlink for a weekly work schedule? That’s one of my biggest hesitations.
Vieques Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, where are you heading now!?
It's pronounced how your wife pronounced it, small tip since you guys love going to the Caribbean and other Spanish-speaking countries, it's time to learn Spanish, that you can immerse yourself more in the local culture. Safe travels keep the great content coming.
Thank you! I (Emily) am actively trying to learn Spanish. I started when we were in the DR but I am finding it harder to keep learning at the same pace I was since I'm no longer using it daily in real-life situations. Basically, I'm ready to go back to the DR! haha
Hello fellow SRQ peeps. Is that the two step spicy I just saw!!!
Dats right DUDE!
I really want that ghost pepper cheese ! I love the burn !🥵🔥!
New followers
Thanks for following our adventure!
I've always heard "Vieques"as a 3 syllable word. Say "Vee-eh-kes".
❤
Thank you!
Go to Jamaica
Dats money dude!!!
You already know!!
🇹🇷🇹🇷👌👌
Working full time editing videos at your own pace while patreons and RUclips pay you to have fun 😅
That’s certainly the short version. Thanks for watching!
You pronounced Vieques correctly
What is it that you do to make money? What you are doing takes a lot of money.
I don’t get it. We watch all of the different sailing channels on RUclips and you are without question one of the best when it comes to filming and content yet your views are no where near what they should be. Did you piss someone off at RUclips and they are throttling your channel or something. Makes no sense at all. So frustrating 🤬
Sailing Atticus is another great one
Another fake sailing channel. Im out....
Fake??? Not sure what was fake about this video, help us understand?
@@adventurecrews The tired old RUclips sailing channel formula. 1) Young couple buy sailboat. 2)Tell story how they had no experience 3) Claim they are going to sail the world 4) Use semi good looking girlfriend/wife as endless thumbnail clickbait. 5) Post clickbait videos titled "Attacked by pirates?" or other loss leader titles 6) Beg for Subscribers, likes and Patreon. 7) Rinse and repeat.
This is probably 95%% of the channels. Its totally exhausting. Every time I open my RUclips if feels like there's 20 new channels a day doing this exact same formula. The second I see this formula, Im out.
Go look at Garrett's Adventure. No clickbait, no begging, no theatrics, he just does it. He only has 20 videos and 5X more subscribers than you.
Thank you for the feedback, I agree with part of what you’re saying but clearly you haven’t watched any of our other recent videos. I apologize this one didn’t resonate with you.
Love you guys and your adventures! You both are so engaging. Thank you. PS, I hope you have some more PR footage. Love it there! Great food.
Thank you so much!! That’s all for PR this time around as we have to get to Grenada for insurance requirements 🤓
